    Salmon Tacos w/ Fries 6/16/26

Small restaurant on the corner of W Grand Ave and 8th in Grover Beach. Good Salmon Tacos and Ceviche Tostadas. (See pics) The have a small selection of Beer which always goes good with Mexican food. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. They have inside and outside seating. Looking forward to coming back and trying some other options. Cheers!

It is a pretty small place where you walk up and order and then bring it to you. There are about fuve tables inside and a bunch of outdoor seating. We had the grilled fish tacos with a cup of clam chowder and the octopus cocktail. They all were quite good and big enough! The fries were not great. It is run by a family and the lady at the counter was very nice and attentive.

Wow. What a cool hole-in-the-wall gem. The service was friendly and quick. Clam chowder was seasoned well, creamy and full of flavor. Well done. Both halibut fish tacos and Cabo tacos were great. I feel like the sauce masked some of the natural flavors of the delicious fish, but the rest of the fresh topping worked well lighten the taco up. Go here, if you're in the area.

I'm so glad I found this place! We were looking for a place to get oysters and were so happy to have found this hidden gem!! It's a really tiny, to-go type restaurant. You order in the front and you take whatever seat you can find. There's also outdoor seating as well, but it does get a little chilly! This is our second visit, and we never had issues with the service. They're very friendly and they help clear the table if it's not that busy. The oysters are really tasty. We usually order 36(?) between the two of us and we finish it every time! The shrimp ceviche is also really tasty, and probably the best in this general area. We ended up ordering the carne tacos this time and it was surprisingly really flavorful!! I took one look at it and I thought it would be really bland, but it was nicely seasoned and the meat was moist and soft. Can't wait to come back!

Highly recommend this place! It may look small, but it has more seating than you'd expect. The restaurant was clean, the food was delicious, and the customer service was excellent. I'll definitely be returning!

Great local seafood spot! The oysters were super fresh and the octopus cocktail had amazing flavor. The tacos were delicious (especially the lobster one) . Everything tasted fresh and well made. I was surprised with their seafood clams chowder, not too salty but the flavor is pretty unique (in my opinion they are tasted better than the one in Pismo, iykyk). Friendly staffs also. Definitely recommend!

Stopped by because we wanted to try a lesser known spot than the usual spots by the beach. We were greeted with a friendly smile and given a menu to browse. They also have daily specials. I ordered a three piece fish & chips while my eye ordered the shrimp & chips. The fish was cooked perfectly. The prawns were a good quality and size. The fries were very lightly seasoned. Maybe ask for some more seasoning if that's your thing. They have a few alcohol choices and a self serve soda machine. We sat outside under the umbrellas and enjoyed the fresh breeze coming off the Pacific. I would definitely like to come back and try a different item next time. Keep up the good work.

Came here after seeing how busy it was. We had the fish and chips. So fresh and tasty. About the best we have ever had. Light beer battered. Also had the clam chowder. Very good not to heavy with perfect texture and taste. Service was outstanding. Not a fancy place but great selection of seafood. Everything looked amazing. This will be our new go to seafood restaurant. They don't have a large dining area inside but ample outdoor seating.

The aguachiles were ON POINT. A refreshing, bright salsa covering the plump tender shrimp. It wasn't too spicy so it was very enjoyable. The chicken tenders were surprisingly juicy and well fried. The regular fries were nice and crisp on the outside with a fluffy inside but the garlic fries were unsalted and thus lacked flavor. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and will be back!

We were placed on the back patio, which was beautiful, covered, heated, and thoughtfully decorated, making it a very comfortable and inviting space. We ordered the Cajun Seafood Boil, and it did not disappoint. It came with a generous amount of crab, shrimp, lobster, clams, and mussels. The seasoning was bold and flavorful without being overwhelming. The corn, potatoes, and sausage were perfectly portioned, complementing the seafood instead of taking the focus away from it. The rich, buttery garlic sauce tied everything together and was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the half-shell oysters, which were the perfect medium size. They were meaty and had the rich, briny flavor I enjoy. Our server, Angel, was outstanding. Our food came out quickly, she checked on us regularly, and she was attentive to everything we needed without any delay. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. The restaurant is located right next to the train station, and they had a dedicated carpark, but it also seemed like street parking was readily available nearby as well. The outdoor dining area was pleasant and had heaters available. Once we arrived, we were seated promptly and brought menus and water. They also kindly brought water for our dog, even without us asking them for it. We shared two appetizers, including the ceviche and tostada. Both were excellent, fresh and full of flavor. For mains, I got the misoyaki butterfish, while my husband had the bouillabaisse. I was jealous that he decided to order this because I don't like ordering the same main as someone else I'm dining with, but the jealousy dissipated once I got the butterfish. It was coated in a sweet teriyaki sauce which it paired wonderfully with, and the texture was pleasant and soft. It was served atop a bed of wild rice and greens. The bouillabaisse was also superb. It's hard to imagine that their other main dishes are better than these two, though I'm sure they're also great. We couldn't go past the lime and coconut creme brulee for dessert. Both of us couldn't get enough of this. Our waitress was very nice and efficient. We had everything we needed and never needed to flag her down for anything. Someone else, perhaps the owner, came out and asked us how our meal was while we were eating which was a nice touch. I'd recommend this as a must-visit if you're in the Pismo Beach area.

While I understand that prices have gone up everywhere, I always kept coming back because the food was simple, consistently delicious, and the service was always warm and welcoming. That makes writing this review genuinely disappointing. During my last visit, I noticed something that completely changed how I felt about the restaurant. There was a Confederate flag displayed inside, which I had never seen before. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt because there was also a Mexican flag displayed nearby. But when I walked up to pay, I noticed a Trump sticker and a "Nescum" sticker on the beverage cooler near the register. That's what really bothered me. Everyone is entitled to their own political beliefs, and I respect that. But I don't believe a family restaurant is the place to display political messages, regardless of which side they support. When a business chooses to do that, it changes the atmosphere and can make customers feel unwelcome. It honestly broke my heart because I've supported this restaurant for well over a decade. I've always appreciated the family, the food, and the service. Unfortunately, after this experience, I've decided I won't be returning. I truly wish them the best, but I miss when this was simply a great local Mexican restaurant where everyone could feel comfortable, regardless of their political views.

We only wish he had been our first point of contact, as the rest of the experience was a disaster from start to finish. The Service & Drink Order: * 25-minute wait for basic drinks: After ordering 3 waters, 2 Cokes, and 1 Sprite, the original person who took our order completely vanished. A second person checked in at the 20-minute mark, and Caden finally delivered our drinks 25 minutes after we sat down. * Gross contamination: One glass of water tasted like seawater, and another had hair in it. Caden promptly replaced them with fresh glasses. * Zero attention on the patio: I had to walk inside to get straws. Three separate staff members walked right past me before I had to physically flag someone down. The Food & Long Waits: * Endless waiting: It took 25 minutes just to have our food order taken, followed by a 45-minute wait for the food to arrive. * Lack of basic service: For a group that ordered an appetizer to share (potato skins), we were never given small sharing plates. We ate off of napkins sinc no one came to check on us and we didn't want to eat a cold appetizer because.... See next bullet * Cold food: When the food finally arrived, both orders of steak bites as well as the French fries were cold. Caden was the only bright spot of the evening, but one hard-working server can't make up for severe kitchen delays, poor hygiene, and a completely unorganized staff. Will not return and would not recommend.
