Really glad we drove from the Northside all the way there. Was a great time. Food was soooo good. Simple boiled shrimp without all the frills....perfect. Fish was cooked perfectly. The whole place could use a good cleaning and some new paint but overall it was really good.

Honestly, not bad of a spot to catch some local seafood eats. I loved it personally. I've never seen a Filipino owned dine in spot like this so it was really nice. Took a while to order though. At least food came out in decent timing. Line was long, but what can you expect? I wasn't in the mood for something all grand, so at least getting some basic seafood boil was good enough and plentyful. And heckkkkkk yahhhh I ate all this by myself. ‍ Family got more but I was too focused on my plate. Most likely will come back. Only notched off one star because there was no enforcing of social distance whatsoever and a fair amount of people not wearing masks even though there are signs clearly stating to wear one otherwise. Meep... please don't hate me.

$80 of food. It was delicious! Well seasoned.

Nothing fancy, but the food is fantastic! Basically a you buy we fry with fish, shrimp, scallops, hush puppies, oysters, etc. Has a great view with mostly outdoor seating. Right on the water with seagulls to boot. Got our meal for about $80 for four and we couldn't finish it.

45 dollars for this looking for a place to bring family so I stopped for lunch don't think I'll ever be back

45 dollars for this looking for a place to bring family so I came in for lunch and questioned the price they said it would be a lot there just going to rip you off stay away

Shrimp and Fries , Taste better with the seasoning and adding lemon to it. This was $42.53

It's okay, just needs more flavor. The lemon and seasoning they gave on the side is what helped the flavor come out.

So apparently I didn't read the Yelp reviews enough before visiting this restaurant. Let me start off by saying, that despite the three stars, I will definitely come back. This is a Fish Market located one small flight of stairs up. You order at the counter and basically have to take a good guess of what might be good. The person behind the counter recommended redfish to us. We took that along with some tilapia and shrimp and a small piece of calamari. Added some onion rings and drinks to the order. Came out to $77. Then you go outside and sit at your table with your number and they bring the food out. I really like the presentation of the food, basically everything is fried and thrown together onto a big tray. Our kids loved the shrimp, I thought the calamari was decent, and I really like the onion rings. However, I did not like the fish at all. The biggest reason for this is because there are no spices or battering added. Fried fish that has no spices added taste like boiled fish. We brought leftovers home and added some spices and it turned out pretty good. I said I would come back because I think it's a nice casual dining spot, I think it's fun for out-of-towners because it's a little bit different, and I think the shrimp and calamari were worth it. I would be more careful about which fish I ordered. I did see some fish fillets that were cleaned up, we may try that next time. I may also try the catfish.

Ok ok I'm not going to lie I did not like this place at all but that probably has a lot to do with the fact that I don't like seafood. Why am I writing this review?? Because although I didn't eat anything except for the french fries, I couldn't not review my experience from a general point of view! So first off, this is a seafood market + restaurant, so the food you select is super fresh and I thought that was so great! The location is fairly small, we had a group of around 10 people and it felt pretty crammed. My family went all out and ordered a ton of food that I can't even remember the name of except shrimp, catfish and french fries. They all really enjoyed the food and gave it a 7/10 rating! One thing that I thought was cool is that every table gets a huge complimentary bowl of fish soup, how nice! My family said it was the perfect touch to their meal. This place is definitely an experience for itself and more for those who want to dive into the culture. It has more of a "homey" vibe, verses a chain restaurant. To be honest I thought it needed a serious renovation, I did feel like that would have helped to the atmosphere of the restaurant. If you're in the area and feeling risky, go ahead and check this place out! I can see how the atmosphere wouldn't be appealing for everyone, so keep that in mind if you're trying to please a group. Oh also, french fries- 4/10 stars.

    No more scallops for me

Tartar Sauce was clumpy (Not cold or on ice) Asked for cold ones she said they dont have any cold ones AT ALL...Used to luv this place but wont ever return....Lady charged me too fast and Wouldnt let me me add water to my order unless It was over $5...She just ran my card for $45 and wouldnt let me add 2 waters... The credit card machine charges a small fee per transaction like come on dude...Between the service and tartar sauce and food...I was not happy...Even my daughter said it used to taste better...Tasted like old grease was used.......

Great jumbo fried shrimp (would have been better if everything else was good)
    Mimi M.

Definitely not worth the trip for shrimp. The oysters were not fresh and overcooked, burnt. All you could taste was burnt batter. After complaining, I was brought 5 perfectly fine oysters. I would have preferred a credit as I was stuffed bc I ate the crappy oysters and gave my man the good shrimp. The shrimp were great, but I def would not come for just expensive fries shrimp. Not coming back

Fried tilapia, fried large shrimp and French fries.

He checked on us often. The bourbon pumpkin smash had just the right amount of sweetness. The hot bread and butter was great. I ordered the shrimp scampi. I appreciated the spinach and tomatoes. It was a lighter dish than I expected but turned out to be perfect for a warm night. It was lacking flavor but adding generous amounts of salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese made a big difference. My companion had the tropical crab salad and it was fantastic. Refreshing and flavorful. The whole, sliced avocado was a nice touch. And it was just a vibrant looking dish. We sat outside and a gaggle of ducks kept hanging out with us. I thought it was cute (minus the duck waste), but it was a bit much for my companion who doesn't like birds on the least). All in all a lovely time during my visit to TX.

On a short visit to Houston, we found this bar that was close to my sister's place. We wanted…read moresomewhere to chill for happy hour before we had to pick up my nephew from school and this came up on the Google Maps search. It was a hit for all 3 of us! We decided to get the tasting option and try some of the nice variety of beers and sours they offered. I can't remember which ones I got but I also tried my daughter and sister's choices. Everything was delicious except the wings we ordered were dry-rubbed and were too hard & crispy to me. I'm very picky about my buffalo wings, though. The service was fantastic and it's a fairly big place that is probably packed on the weekend. It's family friendly, too, with a playground right next to their outdoor patio.

**Tip-Shaming Warning**…read more I really want to love this place. The atmosphere is great; I hear they are community minded; and everyone here has always been nice. But this joint can't decide whether it is a bar or a restaurant. I have previously talked about how spectacular the fish & chips are -- then they removed them from the menu. This weekend, I took my father to this place only to find out that the lunch menu selection wouldn't fill a napkin. Not to mention, they were out of mustard. What respectable joint in Texas runs out of mustard when hamburgers are on the menu? About the burger... The cheeseburger and fries are quite a bit more expensive here than legit burger joints in our area such as Stomp's or Tookies. Further, I've had better burgers in a commissary and at amusement parks. There is nothing fresh about the meat. And then there's the mustard. When I order a burger with mustard (and you don't have mustard), why bring it to me dry? A decent server would come to the table and say "Sir, I know you wanted mustard, but we don't have any." Additionally, I asked for a side of pickles with my burger, which didn't come. So I asked the server, in the presence of the food runner, "Can you bring me the side of pickles?" The food runner chimed in "They're on the burger." -- I wanted to jump down his throat, but I instead ignored him and redirected my comment to the server (whom I requested the side of pickles when I placed my order.) In addition to the marginal food, the customer service here is quite lacking. Though our server was a nice guy, he seemed to half-ass everything. And then he brought the iPad and stood over us while we paid the bill ... which included pre-set tip amounts. I've worked in food service, as has pretty much everyone in my family. When you stand over me while I'm calculating your gratuity, you are likely to get squat. -- Even the Wall Street Journal has written about the gauche nature of this "tip shaming" practice. And so, our server got what he deserved ... very little. (If he'd left me with the iPad and moved on, I likely would've felt more charitable. His mistake.) This place could and should do better. But it needs to decide whether it wants to be a restaurant or a bar. It could do both, but not for long in the way they are currently operating.
