Dinner started off terrible, the guy delivering the food to our table (not our waiter) asked which meal belonged to who but instead of giving it to the person he just dumped it on the table in front of him. 8 meals, all put on the same spot on the table. We passed around the plates ourselves. Why even bother to ask who ordered what if you're not even going to bother giving it to them. Not to mention he had a bad attitude about it like he was too important to be serving food. News flash, you work at a restaurant. What do you think you're supposed to be doing? The food itself was mediocre at best, not worth the money you're going to pay for it. Denny's and IHOP have better quality food than they do. To top it off, they double charged us on tip. When I asked them to remove the extra tip we were charged on top of the automatic gratuity, they acted like I was rude for even asking for my money back. Then I was given a new receipt and was told that the extra tip charges were removed. Several days later, my account still reflects the extra tip charge. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! The man who took our order was genuinely kind and made us feel welcome--10/10 for him. While waiting, my kids sat down at a table near the pies (I get it--not ideal on our part). But the hostess's reaction was... intense. Instead of a quick, polite redirect, we were told to leave in a way that felt unnecessarily rude. Even the guests she was seating noticed and commented on it, which says a lot. Look, I completely understand rules are rules--but delivery matters. A little kindness goes a long way, especially when you're dealing with families. So overall: amazing pies, friendly ordering experience, but the hostess might need a hug... and maybe a refresher on customer service. Food was soooo good...I had the "That Sounds Good" salad and while I never have done a food review just on salad without an entrée, I am now. Every bite was delicious and their homemade lemon vinaigrette was the icing on the cake. Trust me, this was an incredible meal. And, of course, I had to have a slice of pie for dessert. We had stopped into this great little down home style cafe after visiting Bearizona in Williams. A guy at the concession stand had this as one of his recommendations. I had sweet tea and the country breakfast. It was quite good. We started with fried zucchini and it was great. My daughter had the bacon buffalo sandwich with Frieds and loved it. My son and wife each had a burger/cheeseburger. Both were happy and loved the onion rings. Ryan was our server and was friendly and spot on with service. The fillings were so good, but we were terribly disappointed in the crust, the gluten-free crust of the fruit pies. We would love to have that option of having a regular old-fashioned crust to go along with the fantastic flavors and fillings of the pies. The service however couldn't have been any better. He was so gracious we would love to see Service like that everywhere when we travel it is not that common, we gave him a very generous tip because he went above and beyond helpful and professional. The pie was phenomenal. I haven't had pie this good in a long time. My husband and I had probably a slice of each pie between us in our two visits. We did not eat inside or order anything else so I won't speak to that, but that pie... it's worth it to stop here just for the pie alone. The restaurant looked clean and there was a cute gift shop with some toddler friendly roadtrip toys (coloring etc), and the staff were really friendly. The restrooms were clean and the women's restroom had a cute and clean wooden changing table where I changed our toddler. Overall, I think this place doesn't get enough stars. This place was incredible! After a long day at Bearizona, my family stopped by this restaurant because it was highly recommended by Yelp. It totally lived up to the hype! It was really comfortable inside, we were promptly greeted and seated as a group of 6. We ordered the patty melt, cheeseburgers with sweet potato fries, and a pork green chili burrito. As someone from southern Arizona, it's crazy to say but the burrito was one of the best we've ever had. Aside from all of this goodness, I haven't even gotten to the best part... our waitress, Becky.
