This shop ruins dreams. All day I've looked forward to Pinkberry before our red eye. We planned dinner with enough time to reach Pinkberry plenty early before their stated closing time of 11pm. When I walked up at 9:48pm, the young man at the counter said they were closed and that the hours on Yelp (11pm) are actually for the store next door (???). It's Memorial Day so I think OK, maybe they had early holiday hours today. I asked when they closed, and the other staff member said 10pm. I clarified saying, "So you close in 12 more minutes?" and the young man turned around to shut off the machine, then looked me dead in the eye and just said "Yeah, sorry." It was so boldfaced I was nearly impressed, especially after I already watched him eat strawberries he was prepping for tomorrow. Two stars because it's presumably good? I recall at least three flavors, including mango and pomegranate. Expensive, but typical airport prices. Since they closed early by their own admission, your guess is as good as mine. read more

It's the one thing I look forward to when I get to SFO lol! It's a great, refreshing treat just before you board your delayed Virgin America flight (I kid, not really). It makes waiting for your fights manageable. :) I typically get tart froyo, with strawberries on the bottom and mochi on top - that way you get a little bit of everything in each bite. We in the UK have been relatively slow to catch on to the fro-yo phenomenon though there are now quite a few chains and we even have self serve in London. Lolia has been admonishing me for not trying Pinkberry, especially as they now have a branch in Selfridges on Oxford St. So, when I spotted that there was a Pinkberry outlet at SFO Terminal 2, all thoughts of a hot breakfast went out of my head and I knew that I had to have Pinkberry fro-yo. I got the mango fro-yo with lots of fruit toppings. The price seemed a bit higher than I had calculated in my head - $6.50 Yup, of course Lolia was right. When Americans do customer service well, it's outsanding. Case in point: Alan at Pinkberry SFO airport was an absolute star. Would I like samples of my chosen flavours before I finalized my order? Yes because I discovered that the Salted Caramel is more worthy than the chocolate hazelnut. And let's pause to ponder the wonder that is their Salted Caramel flavour. It's worth forsaking all other flavours for it. With my two flavours locked in (original and salted caramel) Alan told me he'd be right back with my flavours and to excuse him while he turned his back. He returns and I adorned my yoghurt with grapefruit, kiwi fruit, blue berries and the best tasting raspberries I could have after a cancelled flight and a game of airport terminal musical chairs. Oh hello Pinkberry!!! Jenn W. was stressing out on our hotel accomodations for our NY trip since the hotel royally screwed up.... Avoiding her wrath; I wandered over to Pinkberry and got myself a yummy cup of yogurt. Ahhh... Life's much better with Pinkberry. Before Hubs and I flew out to Tahiti for our honeymoon, he surprised me at the gate with a nice large cup of Pinkberry. Needless to say; it made the short VX flight down to LAX awesome! I heart froyo and putting Pinkberry in at T2 was probably the best decision the planning department came up with! My favorite frozen yogurt spot EVER. Nowhere else compares. I could care less about any other froyo place that popped up after pinkberry. I don't care much for toppings, since the froyo is so delicious that I prefer it in its natural, uncontaminated state, with no additional flavors. I am happy they came out with the watermelon flavor! It's now my favorite. Perfectly sweet with a hint of tartness, smooth and creamy, the perfect froyo. Original is perfectly tart, anywhere else makes it too tart or too sweet. The texture is great too, creamy and smooth. I don't like it when it's so creamy it's like ice cream, or too icy where it seems like I am eating shaved ice. Located in Terminal 2/ Virgin Airlines Came here about a week ago. I love me some Pinkberry, so of course I had to get some before my flight. My go-to is usually original tart with strawberries, blueberries, mangoes, and granola BUT I saw a sign promoting coconut froyo that was dairy-free so I decided to try it out. So glad I did bc it was SO GOOD and refreshing. I got my usual fruits as toppings as well as those milk chocolate crispy ball things. I hope they have this flavor at all the other locations now. I am a fan of Pinkberry in general and had a good half hour to kill before boarding my flight back to the East Coast when I spotted a Pinkberry kiosk near my gate. Win. The ladies here let me sample almost all the flavors although I ended up getting my regular (original tart--I enjoy the flavored stuff but I never like any of them as much as I like the original, though salted caramel and grapefruit were pretty good). Couple things I did not appreciate: no "mini" size, which is what I normally get. Also, they did not have my favorite non-fruit topping: mochi! Boo. They're also a little skimpy on the toppings. Double boo. However, I really liked the almond granola. I guess it was an acceptable consolation prize for not having mochi. Perhaps I'm being a little harsh with the 3-star review given high quality food should not be expected in an airport but Pinkberry is a large froyo chain now (arguably the biggest?) and what I expect consistency with large chains, regardless of location. read more

I don't see what the fuss is all about with pinkberry. I find that their fro-yo is too sweet. The salted caramel is too sweet, i need to get water after. I usually get their regular flavor instead. I do like how their portions are just right. Even the smallest portion is too big for me . I usually only add chocolate chips as my toppings but the more you add the more it adds up. I love how they make it look all nice. It's like the staff behind the counter graduated from the top fro-yo decorating class! But this is def. a good dessert stop to stop by when you are stuck at the airport and waiting to embark on your adventures. read more

Nutella is an extra 50 cents per scoop, but totally worth it! I love that Pinkberry's tart frozen yogurt is actually tart and not sweet like ice cream. This is a review for the service, not the frozen yogurt. Can't speak for that because the customer service was so bad that I ended up not getting anything. I ran over to pinkberry quickly for a smoothie since I had a few minutes before boarding. This is where the fun began. Normally, I wouldn't write a bad review since I don't hold airport food to a very high bar and don't mind if service is a little slow, but this was particularly bad. I was completely ignored by both employees - they noticed I was there at the register but neither of them said a single word to me, nor came up to the counter. One of the employees had just served some previous customers and proceeded to tidy up and wash the smoothie containers with her back to me. I could forgive being busy and needing to clean up, but the other employee was half heartedly tidying while watching a video on her phone with headphones in. She walked around me as if I were an obstacle at the counter, watching the video the whole time. After a few minutes of waiting for either of them to say anything to me ("we'll be with you in a few minutes" would have been fine) I decided to just go back to my gate since it was getting close to boarding time. The pricing wasn't too much more than a normal store since everything at the airport is marked up! Yes, I'm going to be one of those crazy Asian girls who's all nuts about fro-yo. And oh my gosh, I actually beat fro-yo girl to a fro-yo review! I think I may be able to die now. But seriously, this is definitely a welcome addition to the airport in general and a great way to curb that sweet tooth away from Natalie's Candy Jar which is right next door. For their grand opening celebration over the weekend, they offered: original-also being passed around in sample sizes mango chocolate pomegranate-also being passed around in sample sizes The lines were unfortunately long and agonizing but the staff kept everyone in good spirits by passing out the goodies while hungry, cranky patrons waited ever so patiently. For a tiny tiny little shop, they were cranking out loads of fresh fruits, candies and toppings out of nowhere and with a huge smile on everyone's faces. I took a little pomegranate fro yo which is a steal for less than $4 for a small cup (at the airport) and it's sweet yet tart bite truly sets it apart from all the rest. The first time I had Pinkberry in Southern California, I had hoped for the bay area to pick up on this phenomenon. The closest yogurt spot that comes close to this place was Jubili(which is closed down now). Finally, after years of imitators of Pinkberry, one has finally sprung up in San Francisco. The only problem is, that it is located in the sterile area of SFO's Terminal 2. Luckily for me, I work inside the terminal and I guess its better than not having Pinkberry in San Francisco at all. Pinkberry's yogurt, compared to other places, doesn't have a dairy after taste that so many imitators have. Nothing against dairy but I'm eating frozen yogurt, not ice cream. I've tried all the flavors and if it's your first time, I think the original is worth trying because it's the flavor I keep coming back for. My other favorites are; pomegranate, mango and watermelon. Just like the original, all these flavors are refreshing in taste. The various selection of toppings are another bonus to adding to the great taste of this frozen yogurt. My personal creation; Captain Crunch, mochi, and kiwi. My only complaint is that although the price seems to be in line with SoCal's Pinkberry, they don't swirl as much portioning of yogurt into the cup. Eh, what are you going to do? It's airport prices. I was craving something sweet, something cold, and Pinkberry came to my rescue while I was waiting for a delayed flight. The staff was great, helpful and clear with explaining my options. I feel that the price is slightly higher than none-airport locations? But you get four toppings if you take that option and I think it is still very much worth it.
