I understand cutting corners is efficient for them by pre-making their salad in advance, it just sucks for the paying customer because we end up with soggy lettuce. Maybe if they left the dressing out this would not be an issue. Third time here, with the same exact poor quality results. It's too bad because their chicken and dressing is actually really good. The workers here (Hispanic workers) were very accommodating, their supervisors/owners not so much(gave me arrogance when I notified them of their soggy lettuce). read more

I went there today for lunch and got chicken shawarma plate. The chicken was way too dry. Did not like it. Ended up throwing it away after eating half way. Just had a catered lunch here at Kaiser Permanente for our annual meeting. WOW! Amazing and fresh! The steak kabob was grilled to perfection, tender and delicious. The mango salad was the best that I have had. Definitely going to be visiting them often. Good, healthy and fresh good. read more

Ordered the grilled salmon and it was delicious! Would definitely come back. My only one (tiny) complaint is that they only have ketchup packets and as someone who puts ketchup on everything (salmon, fries, rice, pita, etc.) I would prefer them using ketchup bottles instead. read more

Tried this place on Sunday. Was initially going to try Urban Cactus next door but they're closed on Sundays. The clerk was very helpful when he found out this was my first time. He even gave me a sample of the chicken and gyro. Good flavor in both. I order the mixed plate which had both the chicken and gyro. Came with rice (or you can get fries) and greek salad and a hot pita. They also give you 2 sauces, one is the traditional tzatziki and the other was a garlic flavored one. All in all, it was very tasty and I was surprised just how much food they give you. Very filling. read more

I was planning to go to Waba Grill but saw this and gave it a try. So much potential, so little happiness. The prices here aren't low. The menu is fairly confusing when trying to figure out what comes with the entrees. I'm not sure why I struggled with this so much, but I found myself staring at the menu completely confused about what actually comes in the chicken kabob plate. I ended up ordering that. There was one family of 5 ordering before me. No one else in the building. I order and go sit down. I sat, and sat, and sat. FOR 35 MINUTES! I was pretty mind blown that it took this long to grill some chicken, but it did. At least I knew it was grilled fresh? I still can't believe how patient I was. Finally get the food and open the mystery box to find out what's in it. There's no pita bread, like most Mediterranean places provide. There was chicken, rice, salad and hummus. The chicken was really good. Not worth the wait, but good. I'm still bitter about the lack of pita though. Can you tell? I think it was $4 extra or something on the menu. Literal LOL. Next time if I'm in the area and have a full day to kill, maybe I'll stop by here for round 2. But probably not. read more

The pis fell apart and what we had in Chicago was much denser that was the reason for four stars. We'd return next time in town. This pathetic place is so fraudulent that they are selling doner meat calling it lamb and chicken mixed grill kebab , our first Time in anaheim and absolutely shocked at the service and the way the manager casually said " sorry cant do anything about this till the owner actually changes the description " . The service is terrible but the food redeems them enough for a Couple stars. . They didn't have several menu options, including falafel which was why we came. The rice was dry and without flavor. The pita was falling apart making it difficult to eat. The staff were aloof and unprofessional for that reason we wouldn't return. Pita Grill is by far my favorite new pita spot. On top of the great tasting food and great tasting hummus. Last week I went in and Thomas helped with my order. Felt like I owed him a shut out. Loved this place! Went in during my lunch break. Had chicken shawarma with a side salad, and I added a side of garlic potatoes. They were extremely busy and the guy at the register wasn't too friendly, but he wasn't rude either so it wasn't a big deal. My meal was about $13 and that didn't include a drink. The chicken shawarma, the side salad (romaine, tomatoes, onions, feta, olives and balsamic dressing) were very good, and the potatoes were delicious! It was also a hearty portion. I will definitely go back, I'm glad to have found this new spot! read more

Pita grill is descent. I typically get the veggie plate. Which serves 5 veggie sides. All have been good. I have tried the chicken kabobs before but seemed a bit too dry. I feel like they boil the chicken first before they actually grill it. Which is what dries it out so much. read more

Disappointed with my order today. They gave me a small dollop of hummus which really pissed me off cause it's so good. Fav thing here is the hummus. Rice flavorless and meats tasted weird. Not the first time I've eaten here, 1st experience was great, they have good fries. Ordered through Uber eats 1st time. This time I walked in. I could see through their kitchen doors and saw store bought cans for their corn and store bought garbanzo beans. They probably use frozen store bought items to cook a lot of items off the menu. My bf & I came here for dinner last night per my request. The last time I ate at Pita Grill was nearly 4 years ago when they were in Irvine. I used to crave the food here when I was pregnant with my second daughter. I would ask my coworkers to go with me at least once a week. Anyway, I ordered my usual (chicken pita combo) and the bf had the beef gyro. My chicken combo was exactly how I remembered it. It was delicious and the sauce was flavorful. I told my bf that we would be eating here at least once a week now that I know how close this place is from his house. Both of us enjoyed our dinner very much and we will be coming back. The only complaint that I have is the portion is smaller than before. I would suggest adding more veggies in the gyro and the pita rolls to make them bigger and taste more than just meat. read more

I absolutely love Pita Grill, It's my go-to lunch break spot! My favorite is the chicken pita, make sure to ask for extra garlic sauce on the side. After visiting Israel, I thought Mediterranean food in the states could never measure up; however, Pita Grill tastes so authentic. The food is delicious, fresh and flavorful - and affordable! I LOVE THIS PLACE! Yes, it's a store-front eatery, but the food is wonderful! I will say, however, for the best selection of their fresh made salads, don't wait until too late in the evening, or the best choices will be gone! I've discovered that if I want their beet and spinach salad to not wait until dinner time. I go in the middle of the afternoon and reheat it when my husband comes home! The rice is delicious, as are all their different meats, and their pita bread is to die for - yum!! I really love their vegetarian selections too! I've got a very diverse group of friends, and they have multiple vegetarian selections every day. I think I saw on their menu that they start off with something like 15-20 each day. I've never had anything here I didn't fully enjoy, and neither have any of my friends or family that have joined me. We will definitely be back again and again!! read more

The salad was literally soaked with whatever dressing, not good. Made my mouth tingle and not in a good way. They need to just close. Mediocre food. I came here because I was so hungry and my intention was to eat next door. Since that place closed at 4 pm I ended up here. Being the only person in the restaurant It took too long for my order. The shish kabob were overdone and the meat tasted old. The rice is not basmati it looks more like Uncle Ben's. Came here unintentionally for lunch after discovering that Urban Cactus had no seats. Pita Grill was just as busy, but people didn't linger and the tables freed up while I was waiting for my lunch companion to arrive (around 15 min). No mentions of gluten free or vegan dishes on Yelp, and I didn't bother asking the staff about the menu either. But based on the ingredients listed on the menu board and used my best judgement when ordering the stuffed grape leaves (4 per order and I ate it without the yogurt sauce) and the garlic potatoes. Both were delicious, and I didn't suffer from adverse reactions. Both dishes were from the appetizer section, and they seemed to be small portions when served, but I was nice and full at the end of the meal. The plaza is small, so the parking lot matched its size. I got lucky with parking, but I can see it being a nightmare during peak hours. I watched a car circle for 5 minutes before finding a spot. I'm not a Mediterranean food expert, but I really enjoyed the food so I look forward to my next outing here when it's not so busy. read more
