    BBQ Chicken Hoagie
    Parker G.

This spot will do the job if it's one of the only options available to you late at night on a Friday or Saturday while downtown...otherwise, I'd steer clear of it. I popped by here one night while in town and checking out a few bars on a Friday night. Like I said in my opening, it was one of the only options for food still available, and had a variety of options on its menu, so decided to give it a go. It's a simple, spacious, well-lit, and (mostly) clean dining area within - you place your order at the counter towards the end of the dining space. Upon entering, I was pretty much the only customer there. I had my order promptly taken and decided to give their BBQ Chicken Hoagie a try since I know that's a popular item in the area and I hadn't gotten one yet. Then I waited...and waited...and waited...for one regular sized sandwich with no one else ahead of me for orders. After almost 30 minutes, I finally received it, and what I got was....meh? It certainly was a BBQ sauce on the chicken....no mistake there...as it pretty much was doused in it and drowned out any other flavors the Hoagie may have had....although I couldn't tell if there were any other ingredients in there that it was supposed to have, aside from maybe one or two small pieces of the green pepper. Regardless, it was late at night and I was hungry, so I ate it up. Did it fill me up and do its job? Sure. Would I recommend this for any occasion other than one I was in where it was one of the last eating options in downtown available? Mmmmm....no.

Desserts were awful. I feel like the actual food would be much better- pizza and gyros are their specialty, but the desserts tasted horribly artificial.

Salad consisted of shredded lettuce that's rotten... :-((

I was in the mood for a little salad but had been out of town so didn't have time to go to the grocery store yet. For a small side salad it took 20 minutes. And get this...the lettuce is rotten at the bottom. Really disappointed and throwing it out. No thanks and will not return!

The food is good and relatively cheap. The food is pretty good and everyone is nice. Would deff come back! The place is decently big on the inside.

Good pizza with a descent selection of about 10-12 draft beers. We got half bacon and pineapple and half extra pepperoni and boy did we get extra pepperoni. Very nice staff and nice atmosphere. If you're in the area and want a good pizza and good beer you can't go wrong here.

I work downtown and this place is great. I've had the gyro plate and the meatball sub. Fries are crispy, meatballs are good, bread is good, gyro is good. No complaints. I wanted to post their Mediterranean menu because the one online doesn't have pictures or descriptions , so I was never bold enough to order blind.

Lamb, potatoes, bread. I have no idea what this is called. They showed me a picture and I ordered it!

I found this place by accident when I left the theater next door. I walked in expecting to get a burger or salad, and the guy working recommended their unofficial menu, which was entirely Uzbek food. Let me tell you, it was absolutely tremendous! Skip the pizza, order some food you've never heard of. It will be great!

    Very casual.

This place was alright but I definitely am not in a hurry to return again. Everything is disposable -- styrofoam plates, boxes, cups, etc. Not one thing was reusable ware. And the storefront is really plain -- cheap tables, cheesy posters on the wall. If you're in the mood for some inexpensive, greasy grub, this is a good place to stop. If you're looking for an atmosphere, or fresh and healthy food, keep walking.

Our server was excellent and the auxiliary staff were courteous and efficient. We started with a calamari appetizer which was a little spicy but delicious. Beware of the two Thai chilies in the mix! Next my husband had the lobster bisque. It was quite rich with a large chunk of lobster as a garnish. Our main courses were a 10 ounce filet, wild caught shrimp stuffed with crabmeat and Chilean sea bass. Everyone loved their entrees. Our son especially loved the filet, it was so tender. We ordered two side dishes for the table and they were plenty for the three of us. Decadent lobster mashed potatoes and crabmeat fried rice. We shared a dessert, creme brûlée which was topped with fresh berries and served with chewy cocoa snowflake cookies. Overall the food was excellent. Service started out a little rocky. I had made a reservation online and it would only let me choose a high top. We don't like high tops so I called the restaurant a few days before and they assured me they could accommodate us with a regular table, not to worry. Upon entering and giving my name for the reservation, the Maitre D'être said it's for a high top. I explained that I'd called and we didn't want a high top. He said he could only offer us a booth in the lounge, so we took it. The lounge had a jazz trio playing and the music was a bit too loud for comfortable conversation. The server had to talk above the music to be heard by us. Luckily they took a break and when they came back the volume was lower. As we were leaving I noticed there was a whole dining room with empty tables which were NOT high tops. So why did they seat us in the lounge? Our drink orders were pretty simple, however because they serve the cocktails from the shaker, the server mixed up the dinks and poured my husband's margarita into my 'dirty' martini glass. So I had a three blue cheese olive margarita! A margarita-tini! He realized what he did, apologized and ran off to get another margarita for my husband. I had eaten the olives and tasted the margarita, which was very good. When he returned, he asked if I still wanted the martini and I laughed and said, yes, that what I ordered. So my husband got the benefit of two Margaritas for the price of one and I got three extra blue cheese olives! That was the only goof up. The rest of the meal was flawlessly served. I felt that even though the prices are high, the portion size and the quality of the food provide a good value. You expect to pay more in a place like this. It was well worth it in my opinion. And if you are there during Happy Hour you can choose cocktails and appetizers from the Happy Hour menu which is quite reasonable.

The Strawberry Pretzel Salad cocktail was amazing- the crushed pretzels really made it. I also got the California 75 which was a cute twist on a classic French 75. We came in for an early dinner on Saturday 8/29/26 around 5pm before a show at Heinz Field (yes, I KNOW it's Acrisure Stadium - it will always be Heinz Field). This place is packed. As expected. Nowhere to sit, every single table was full. When a party finally left we snagged the dirty table that was never cleaned while we were there. We tried to get food from Mijo but were told before we ordered it would be a ln hour wait for food. We had the time but wasn't sure we wanted to wait that long. We grabbed a couple beers from the bar and the wait wasn't long. The bartender was not terribly pleasant, but he was buried and there were some other patrons that were not being patient or kind. It is REALLY loud - as expected, concrete floors, wood tables and metal chairs, high ceilings and nothing to dampen the sound. All of that said - it's a great space. All the food we saw looked great and we Will definitely be back at some point.
