This place has such rave reviews and was packed when I stopped by on Saturday night. Ordered my half and half pie to go and I think I should've picked at least one red sauce pizza, because I thought the two that I selected were pretty mediocre. Maybe I'll give it a try next time.

We've been here years ago and decided to come by again on a Sunday night at 8:30 pm. There were 3 other tables of friends & families and 4 employees. Only one of the four were able to seat us maybe he was the nicest. We had the sampler and two large pizzas, deep dish rush street and deep dish Blackhawk. It was way too much fun food for the four of us. The sampler came on two plates, we were too hungry and teared it apart before I could take pictures. The 3 stuffed mushrooms and 4 wings were good. The 3 poppers, cheese in peppers, standard garlic bread, and dusty baker, spinach and artichoke bread just okay but nice to munch on as we waited for the pizzas. The meat pizza, Rush street had more flavor than the blackhawk. We wanted a contrast. Our waiter refilled our sodas. They have Coke Zero. Kids thought it was good and wouldn't mind coming back.

My SO got the Blackhawk and Chicago Fire for hs to eat as a group of 6. The pizza was do fluffy and I see why the Chicago Fire is a popular one. The crust is so cheesy and there's quite a bit of heat in it even when you take off the peppers. The Blackhawk was packed of flavors and it kept us going after a busy day ~

We had a nice meal here. The inside walls are decked out with lots of Chicago memorabilia, but we made use of the outdoor seating that was available. The owner was extremely nice and came out to check on us multiple times. I really appreciated that I had the option to get my own personal sized deep dish pizza so that I did not have to care what the people with me wanted to get. I do feel that I should point out that if you're looking for a traditional Chicago deep dish pizza (sauce on top, etc.) that you won't find it here. This is more of a traditional deep dish pizza, not that there's anything wrong with that. One of my party members was from Chicago and I have Chicago deep dish pizza all the time so that was definitely a point of discussion. My pizza was good and I would definitely come back here.

Pizza Chicago is a must-visit for me a couple times a year. It's a solid deep dish pizzeria, and I love their crust (when I can find it - when it's not drowned in lopsided toppings). It's a 3 for me because unlike 5-star joints they haven't nailed the magic crust-to-cheese-to-sauce ratio. It's just kind of messily slapped on together without much precision. As implied earlier, they don't even leave an open crust in some corners. This means the outcome varies, and leads to uneven taste across the pizza (depends which slice you grab). They could learn a lot from Patxi's, Blue Line or even Jake's (all of which I crave and visit more regularly) in terms of improving on this count. It was a similar story with the garlic bread. Uneven application of the garlic and butter led to only 2 slices being maximally droolworthy! That said, it is a decent pie. The ambience is casual and family-friendly, and the service is speedy and with a smile. Definitely suggest a visit, and you can decide for yourself.

We love the pizza! The deep dish pepperoni is our fave! The crust is cooked to perfection and the pepperoni cups charred just right. The walls are decorated with memorabilia from Chicago, really cool to check everything out while you wait for your food. The staff is friendly and helpful in answering our questions. They recently had a deal for a pizza pass, which allows you to pay one time fee and pick up one pizza a week for 6 months. Of course we had to purchase it. We hope they do it again this year!

Deep dish pizza awaits you at Pizza Chicago. This is the kind of place that feels familiar the moment you walk in, especially when it has been part of your family's routine for years. My family comes here every holiday season, and there are plenty of reasons why. The service is exceptional, and the staff genuinely makes sure everyone is there to enjoy a good dinner, not just rush through a meal. The pizza is consistently great, and we usually go straight for the Deep Dish Combo, though there are solid options for anyone not looking for a full commitment. I also love their desserts, which always feel like the right way to end the meal. The location is another plus, since it is not in downtown San Jose but still central to everything, with ample parking that makes the visit easy. This is one of those places where the experience matters just as much as the food. The pizza may be exceptional, but it is everything else that has turned this spot into a lasting family tradition.

Been coming to this pizza spot for over 3 years now and it never gets old. The pizza is always consistent. They use fresh jalapeno instead of canned which I appreciate. I love that they do deep dish, the largest size for it is large. They have an extra large thin crust, if you like that. Ranch is a must and they give you large cups, since they charge extra. But it is worth it! The workers are always very friendly and they take their time preparing your pizza. Inside is cute, like a pizza shop and they have plenty of tables for eating there. Outside is pet- friendly, plus many vegetarian pizza combos!

Spaghetti bolognese and far in front is the lasagna. Both delicious!
    Michelle C.

My boyfriend and I almost always have the deep dish pizzas here! Today we tried the pastas, and they were also delicious, and decently priced! I got the spaghetti bolognese and my boyfriend got the lasagna. Inside there are fun features of Chicago including the menu! Depending on the day/night it can be a bit crowded! The service is always great :D

    House Salad!

How can you not enter this place when right outside, the smell of delicious pizza is wafting through the air! Immediately upon entering, you're greeted by temptation... er, I mean a dessert fridge. To the left is the to-go counter and the right, indoor seating. Outside seating is also available. The food is SO good! Easily a new spot that I'd return to over and over again. This is one of those, "You know what I'm craving today?" Type of places. MY RANCH LOVERS! This place has that good-good ranch! As a certified sauce boss, this ranch passes the test, and then some. The house salad is light and delicious, a general amount for two hungry people, 3 semi-hungry people, and 4 people trying to pace themselves. The honey mustard dressing is also pretty bomb. Looks freshly made too! The jalapeño poppers have a delicious parm breading on them, served on a bed of lettuce and a generous bowl of ranch. For any of those 90s kids that grew up with Chuck E Cheeses and had that older recipe breadsticks... those delicious thangs! Yeah, these jalapeño poppers had a similar flavor to that which made them nostalgic too! The pizza itself was very delicious! Red Sox have a lovely garlicky flavor with the tomatoes (sun dried & regular). The Sears Tower was also good! I probably would get another one the next time around. Their red sauce was delicious as well! If you get a medium or large pizza you can get 2 different pizzas in one pie. As our dope waiter put it, couple's don't have to argue! The vibe is really cool, trying to tie in the essence of Chicago mixed with some Hawaiian vibes; they have artists like Rebelution playing, with that slow, mellow vibe. Our server Eric, greeted us wearing an "Aloha" hat! Super nice, attentive, and quick with our needs throughout the night. He even asked if I wanted ice in my water which most people don't and it felt like an extra attentive detail that shows his work ethic. He also hooked us up with some habanero chili flakes & habanero chili oil. For you spice lovers, ask about them. He also has some Tabasco scorpion pepper which has its own kick but I don't think the flavor is as good as the flakes and oil. Ugh, the cherry on top is that they give you a proper side of ranch to go with your leftovers. None of that tiny 2oz crap. It was at least a 4oz. Overall -- a must try! They definitely use the secret recipe of love in their food. Can't wait to go back.

This restaurant is the awesomeness of Chicago pizza. It was our first time and won't be our last we The Fridge pizza when I say it was out of this world amazing it was. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to come back and try it again. Not to mention the whole restaurant has memorabilia that you feel like you are in Chicago which is the most awesome part. Service is amazing and we were taken care of from the time we walked in.

My husband tried the Kickin' Old Fashioned and I tried the Margarita Italiano, that was recommended by Manny. My husband enjoyed his drink and I loved the Margarita Italiano. It was so good! For our appetizer, Manny recommended his personal favorite, which was the Burrata Con Prosciutto. We decided to try it and I'm so glad we did. It was so delicious. He poured a bit of balsamic vinegar on top of the Burrata, and it really made the dish superb. The Prosciutto melted in my mouth and paired perfectly with the Burrata, balsamic vinegar and arugula. We will definitely get that again in the future. For our main dishes, Manny recommended the Linguine Mare Chiaro. I decided to try that and my husband ordered the Ippglosso Con Limone E Capperi, from their house specials menu. Our dishes arrived fresh and hot. My Linguine Mare Chiaro had clams, mussels, shrimp and scallops in a roasted cherry tomato and white wine sauce. It was delicious. The linguine was cooked perfectly and seafood portions were generous. My husband's dish, Ippglosso Con Limone E Capperi, was a pan seared halibut fillet with a lemon caper sauce served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. We both enjoyed our main dishes. My husband was happily surprised he got two pieces of halibut. Both dishes were delicious and filling. Manny took excellent care of us and gave us the best recommendations. We had a wonderful experience dining here and look forward to many more in the future. I hope we are lucky enough to have Manny again, as our server. Moments later, she added that she could possibly fit us in at 8:00 p.m., depending on the size of our party. I told her that I found her initial response unprofessional because she didn't take the time to explain the situation from the start. A more courteous response would have been to let me know that reservations were full but that there might be a possibility of accommodating us later in the evening. She apologized and said she would respond differently next time, which I appreciated. However, as a manager, first impressions and customer service matter. To be honest, when I opened the menu, I thought the price was a bit on the high side, and didn't expect to like it in the "worth it" scale. But hey, for a higher price, they better deliver on the food quality! It most certainly disappoint. The food was amazing. Got the Linguini Fruti Di Mare, the seafood was good quality, the cioppino sauce was intense. It truly is the boss of the sauce. Also ordered the Chicken Marsala, I'm always cautious before ordering because the marsala wine can easily become overwhelming, or the sauce is too sour, or the chicken is tough and dry. I did not hit any of those, but rather, what I got was a few silky smooth and tender pieces of flattened chicken breasts, that is moist and flavorful. The sauce is great too, not to mention the mushroom, that is so fresh and flavorful on its own. Last but not least, their attention to detail went all the way to mashed potato and steamed vegetables. It was truly one of the best. Did I mention the free, fresh baked foccacia? It's among the top 3 I've had in any restaurants, ever. At the end, even it pinches my wallet a bit, it was well worth it. We ordered the Ravioli a la Teresa with cheese and pesto cream sauce, and their signature Sorelle Short Rib Bolognese. After ordering, we were given free bread for the table. The bread had herbs on top and the dipping sauce is olive oil with fried and then mashed soft garlic. The bread looked nothing special, but once I touched it, I was delighted to find out that they were warm and crusty on the outside but soft on the inside. It took a bit of wait for our food to came, I think it meant they were freshly cooked. The portions were big. Once laying down our food, the lady came with a big bowl of cheese and helped us sprinkle on top. It looks amazing with the cheese on top, like snow flakes melting on. I am so impressed with my short rib bolognese. The piece of short rib was sumptuous, a whole piece, resting on top of the pasta that is covered in meat sauce. The meat itself was so soft that it was super easy to tear off and just melts in my mouth. Flavorful and soft and juicy, super yummy! The pasta is cooked el dente, and each bite there's a bit of ground meat coated on the ziti pasta from the bolognese sauce. Very satisfying! I had a bite of the ravioli and these huge dumplings are covered in fresh pesto sauce and very cheesy inside. Although I was a bit confused on the difference between a pesto sauce and a pesto cream. I felt like the sauce was more pesto but we ordered pesto cream. Anyhow, it tasted good but I prefer my short rib bolognese more. Bus boy service is fast and responsive. We had a very enjoyable meal.
