Tried calling in an order and was placed on hold for over 10 min. When I called back there was no apology or anything. Then as I ask a question to which was not answered, the lady says to me "well are you going to order or what?" I said "you don't have to be rude" she then hung up on me. I called back and I asked to speak with the manager, they again put me on hold. Then the owner answers and he himself was very rude and tried putting me on hold. My family and I love Pizza Express! The employees are always polite and go above and beyond what is required. Tonight my wife asked for extra marinara sauce for our twists and the lady said "Sit down I will bring it to you, enjoy your dinner". Speaking of there marinara sauce, it's the stuff!!! My favorite local pizza spot. As a former NYer I find the California pizza scene rather dismal, but Pizza Express is a good fix. I like their crunchy crust and abundance of great toppings, but the sauce is too sweet for my taste. Their boneless wings are delicious and the salad bar is small but fresh. The staff is always so nice and friendly and the place is clean everytime we walk in. My only gripe is they have always messed up our order, even when we eat in. They always make it right, so no problems but it does add to the wait time for me. read more

Very good local pizza place. Pizza very tasty. Pizza crust is sometimes under cooked and tonight our pizza was a bit over cooked, but overall the basic pie is good. Really like the salad bar. Tonight the lettuce the not as fresh as normal, but there is a big variety to choose from . Staff is normally friendly, but tonight they were just ok. It was busy, so maybe the staff was stressed. We will continue to go there and support the local pizza company. Tonight I ordered a cheese free Polynesian Pizza and it was fantastic. read more

pizza express is the best place for pizza in Auburn. All of the employees are super nice and helpful. Very family friendly restaurant. Their pizza is the best- you have to try the garlic rolled crust. The garlic chips are also excellent. The manager is very professional and is great at what he does. I've been a customer for almost 20 years... I have never had a major problem. The pizzas are usually delivered hot, good, and accurately without issue. I always tip the drivers a lot. Tonight... The pizza took an hour and a half to be delivered. It was made wrong... toppings were scrambled up. I called back and told them I was really disappointed and that I have been a long time customer. They offered to remake the pizza (I have little kids that were super hungry so I had to just pull all the toppings off and feed them) and remaking it only results in a pizza that's going to be uneaten and kinda not worth their time and mine. The other option was a 15% discount on the next pizza... So they would make me a free pizza that's right that nobody would eat, or 15% on a pizza I ordered next. They should have offered us a free re-do and they refused. That didn't seem right. They've lost a long long time customer. I'm sorry but you have to take care of your customers. I work near the Pizza express and over the past year have eaten my lunches at this establishment. Very good food and nice staff, till I met the boss. I have never been treated so rude, ever. I asked for a cup of water and she denied me since she did not recognize me despite working next door. After this treatment I did not go for some time. Just today I went in and she kicked me out, said I looked like crap and said I was never allowed inside the restaurant again. The food was good, the employees are friendly, but this woman was completely unstable and I will never go back. Her aggressive attacks were completely inexcusable. read more

Pizza was good but the service was lacking. Cleanliness is an issue. The tables were sticky. When the guy came to give us our pizza he had to peel our order number off the table. So gross! Started in line finally our turn no big deal and the person taking our order (mind you I had questions first time) was probably the worst, poor attitude, lack of customer service an rude. They usually have a coupon that comes out once a month in the value pak that gets mailed out... so we usually always have a coupon when we order which is always nice read more
