Stopped in to PU a couple slices for the kid. I ordered 2 slices of cheese pizza and was charged $8.40 or something thereabouts. I asked the cashier, "is that my bill?" as I looked at the register. Indeed it was. I was shocked! So shocked that I said, "In NYC you can get a slice of pepperoni for $2.50." He apologized, but it wasn't his fault. When I got the pizza home I opened the box and saw some crappy looking pizza. My husband tasted it and said, "$8.00 for this?!?!" Ok pizza but terrible service. Routinely takes 2 hours to order 1 pizza and we live a few blocks away. Some times I even ask the delivery person and they always say its not busy. Huh??? I would say this is probably the best pizza I've had in the city. I normally get the all meat pizza (cancer) and sometimes add pesto to it. It's pretty good and filling. Also, the crust is a little thick, and nice and crisp. When you chew on it, it's still soft and not hard like other places. But like all pizza, it can get a little pricey sometimes when you include other add ons. Also going for the three topping pizza is a good deal :) They deliver super fast. So if you are counting on that "full hour," order it later. This is definitely the place you want to hit up when you are starving and want good pizza fast. read more

This was the worst pizza we've ever seen. By accident, we ordered a small, but didn't realize this because a small was $30. Yes, you read that correctly. On top of that, there was hardly any sauce, cheese or toppings. We promptly asked to send it back and the restaurant had the audacity to ask Eat24 if we could bring it back ourselves after having it set for delivery. I've never been to the shop but I've ordered at least 50 times for my family or parties and they have been great. Only a few times have I been a bit disappointed. The pizza here is delicious, not too thick or thin but always crunchy. I recommend building your own with a limited amount of toppings, usually I do 2-3 toppings and the pizza is consistent, anything pass that and it can become soggy. The wings are not Buffalo but more like fried with good flavor, make sure to eat all the wings on the first day as reheating the wings in the oven truly dry them out, reheating the pizza in the oven after a day or so in the fridge is still fantastic. Pretty disappointed. I normally order from them and have been happy. Tonight I called in my order. I ordered 2 medium pizzas and some cheese sticks. I asked for extra sauce on the pizzas however they were delivered with almost no sauce. Okay, sure, it's silly, but come on, it's pretty awesome. While staying nearby I wandered into this place one night, looking for some food after 9 pm. Although my first visit was out of desperation, I then came back the following two nights. Basically, I ate here three nights in a row. This is one of the only places I've found that will make you a slice of pizza fresh. Although the crust is a bit thick for some, I love it. Also, the meatball sub is the best I've ever had. At $4 for a fresh slice of pepperoni and $6 for a meatball sub, the prices are very reasonable for the area. Finally, the staff is friendly and they are open late. This place was a very pleasant surprise; I will happily come back if I'm in the area. read more

My Boyfriend has been coming here since he went to High School down the street & inteoduced me to it when we first met. It is AMAZING. The pizza, the sandwiches, the appetizers, the deserts. Everything is bomb! I get a cookie warmed up every time I come here & they treat you like family. Soon as we walk in they put it in the microwave cuz they remember! I love places like that. You gotta Try the Capricorn w/ Jalapeños !! & This place puts Bacon on their pizza, & when I say bacon I mean FULL ON STRIPS of bacon.. not bacon crumbs or small pieces. Remember that old cigarette commercial; "I'd walk a mile for a Camel?" Well we took a 200 mile road trip for a Pizza Joint pizza and it was worth every minute of the journey. I am a cheese pizza snob - I admit it, proud of it - as how you do that dictates the rest of the menu. Folks, this is world class pizza and as I said, well worth the drive. We were down in the city and decided to get bagels from a place I know on Geary - closed so we wound up on Balboa for some reason headed to the beach when low and behold my wife shouts out, "pizza" and we pulled in. We got a couple slices of cheese and a combo. The second she approached the car with the pizza I could smell the garlic melding with other flavors enough to set my mouth watering. We drove away parking at the beach where I took my first bite; well that was it heaven had arrived. Not the thinnest crust but oh so good with a hint of garlic, crisp but not overly so and that edge, I could make a meal of that alone. A pillowy texture that was epic and left me awaiting the next bite. The sauce perfect the right combo of spice and tomato that, with the cheese - what can I say other than heaven awaits. We had to come back deciding we'd do a road trip from Lake County and pick up a few pies for us and our kids. We added an Aquarius and Scorpio plus a cheese of course, along with a sandwich. The pesto chicken was a rave hit as was the ranch salami blend on the pies. I will close by saying you made my list and I will be back. read more

If you ask for a take-out menu, there are a few coupons on it that help save a couple of bucks. We got a extra large (18") pizza with two toppings for $17.99 with coupon (and yes my husband and I can eat an extra large just between the two of us....what can I say I love pizza). The crust was really tasty, was neither too thick or too thin, and had a nice chewiness to it. They did not skimp on the sauce, cheese, or toppings, and overall the pizza was satisfying and delicious. They have many special pizzas based on the horoscope (a large ranges around $22 to 24 but use the coupons!) and we will definitely go back to try those. read more

The pizza was good, the dough was well cooked and the toppings were sufficient. The salads were not very good, and the thinly sliced tomatoes looked like they had been refrigerated for a long time, because they were almost brown. The service was bad. We stopped in with a group of 11 on a Sunday evening. They gave us 2 menus for the entire group. That wasn't a good start. Then we ordered pizzas and salads and a 2-liter bottle of soda and also asked for a pitcher of water. They gave us exactly 11 cups and no ice even though the soda was warm. They also gave us 11 napkins, which really isn't enough for 11 people and lots of pizza. We requested more napkins and they gave us just a few. We had to ask a second time later in the evening. Upon arrival, we mentioned that the place was pretty cold - it was a winter night and both doors were propped open and the outside temperature was a little above 50 degrees. They told us we could close the doors and we did, and the room started to warm. A little later, one of the kitchen staff propped open the doors and the temperature in the dining area was the same as outside - low 50's. Customers from another table closed them and the place started to warm up again. Then someone from the kitchen propped them open again. Once more, we said we were cold, as did customers from other tables, and we closed the doors. Again, someone from the kitchen propped them open and gave us a dirty look. The place was well lit, with a very bright sign that said "OPEN". From the outside, a prospective customer could see that there were several parties inside. It was obvious that the place was open. Our group meets weekly, and we were looking to make pizza a weekly ritual. This Sunday, we might opt for a place where the temperature of the dining area is in the 60's. read more

Ordered delivery to my work. Was craving spaghetti so I was glad they were able to deliver with a small minimum order charge ($12). But the spaghetti was really mushy, their meatballs are sliced in half. I've had better. Their choco cake was good, but for $3.50 I would have appreciated either a bigger slice or better quality. It seemed like one of those frozen, sara lee pies. One star for ordering online convenience and delivery person seemed pleasant enough.
