Essentially ordered two very different pizzas for 2 different camps of people. A hawaiian type and a meat lovers type, to satisfy all. When I opened the boxes, we couldn't figure out which was what. One had pepperoni, pineapple and red onions. The other one had ham ( not canadian bacon as stated in the description), italian sausage and cilantro(?), no mushrooms or bell pepper, which was supposed to be in the "meat-type" pizza. It was totally disappointing, especially with the total over $50 ( we had poppers & wings as well) for the stars of the show to be clusterfucked like that. The taste was alright,according to the others, but nowhere near what we wanted. All I tasted was disappointment. I won't order here again. Pizza here is actually really good!! The sandwiches... not so sure though lol. I have been ordering from this establishment for a while and I'm too lazy to walk up the hill to pick it up they always deliver within 20-30 minutes to my place. Besides it being convenient, their pizza is quite tasty. I've ordered the Pisces and I found it to be quite tasty and simple. It's also not loaded with nearly as much grease as other places I've ordered from. Not sure if I got lucky, but the many times I've ordered grease was a much lower factor... unless it sunk into the pizza.. and that's ok LOL. Still tasty. =) read more

The BF and I just HAD to get pizza since it was National Pizza Day (February 9). Look it up, it's Wikipedia official! Anywho, wanted to grab something close to our hood, but didn't want a full pie, so we found Pizza Joint! They sell by the slice, but little did we know that EACH slice was probably equivalent to the size of a personal pizza. SLICES BIGGER THAN MY FACE. Seriously. Tasty pizza, but downside was we didn't realize that 4 slices would cost us more than a small pizza! $18 something for 4 slices. Now, that may sound ridiculous, but honestly because of the size and the fact that we didn't just get plain cheese slices, I felt that it was worth it. I couldn't even finish my slices. They didn't have the thin crust style kind of crust--more of the thick crust, bready, yet still crunchy kind. I personally liked it and would go back, but maybe just for 1 slice at a time. Haha. The guys behind the counter were nice and the decor of the place was cute. They have sandwiches too! The names of the pizzas and the sandwiches are fun as well. One sandwich that stood out to me was one with spam and bacon, omgz. Have to try one of these days. Hahaha. Until the next National Pizza Day, Pizza Joint! or maybe sooner! Pizza joint is simple, cheap, and delicious. I have tried getting food there and getting delivery, and both experiences were pretty good. They have very nice pizza and several options of toppings that are just delicious. I did wish they would put a bigger amount of toppings on the pizza, but I guess, to keep the price competitive, they cannot give you a pizza overflowing with the toppings you pick. I have tried their pizza, calzones, garlic bread, cheese bread... But, surprisingly, the big star for my husband and I was the lasagna. Very yummy indeed! I will admit that I will add a star because this place is so convenient to my house, which added to the already good quality of food they provide is an automatic 4 stars for me. I can only comment on slices and sandwiches, and therefore will update when I order a specialty pizza in the future. Sandwiches - $3.50 + $0.50 (cheese) is a great deal on some decent quality sandwiches. Pizza - Crust is crispy and doughy making it a unique flavor around the area. Quality ingredients top off this great crust making a tasty pizza. Pizza Joint is located right next to a high school so it helps that it caters to their needs and budget, and thus benefits those who are not in high school. This helps create other menus that other pizzerias don't provide such as nachos, popcorn chicken, or spam musubi if you want a little variety with your meal. Hmm. I'm conflicted about this joint. Sundays are when I'm at my ultimate sleepiest, and after a long day of work when my roomie mentioned pizza, I knew it needed some in or around my mouth. She mumbled something about Domino's and I said "blasphemy! We live in SF, not the suburbs of hell. I'm not eating that!" and I remembered I had seen this place a couple times and decided to give it a shot. They guy on the phone was nice but after I asked for delivery it was silent for much too long- I thought he hung up on me and decided it was for the better, but then wow! all of a sudden he was there. The pizza came fast, only about 30 mints, but then again I only live 10 blocks away... I opened the box like it was Christmas morning and I am a 5 year old boy who got a Barbie Doll instead of micro machines (do they still have those?) The pizza didn't look great- it looked like store bought crust and safeway pepperoni.. but i was WRONG! It tasted good good gooooood! I was confused still whenever I looked at it, but when I closed my eyes and savored the goodness, all was well. Although it was good, I don't know if I would order from here again. I like plain cheese pizza because you can't go wrong. I bought a slice from here and it looked old. They were nice and heated it up for me, which was later followed up with a dash of pepper flakes and garlic powder. After making the 2 minute drive home, I ate the pizza and it just wasn't very good. Okay, the pizza here is really not that great. You could tell me it's Digornio and I wouldn't second-guess that. This place is so much more than a pizza joint though. They offer a wide selection at their deli-style counter, including chicken teriyaki, macaroni salad, fruit cups, and treats. They are so nice here too, I think the owner was in when I came by and he was really friendly and sweet. They also are a little mini-mart with a wall full up of their candy selection. One of my favorite quick eateries in San Francisco. ALL sandwiches $3.50! $4.00 with cheese - quite worth the upcharge. The sandwiches are a generous portion and made with pride. The cold cuts and cheeses are of good quality. I've never tried the pizza. I'm from NY so I'm biased anyway. But it looked and smelled good. Pizza Joint will deliver with a $12 minimum. I ate here a couple times while visiting SF, had their pizza sub and a full sized pizza. Both were super tasty, better than your typical pizza chain. They weren't listed on Google Maps for some reason, though, I only found them because my bus dropped me off right next to them on my first day in town. My only real complaint is that they take so long to make your order. The sub took about 10 minutes to make, and the pizza took somewhere around twice that long. read more
