We were pretty hungry after our drive to Folsom and visit to Snook's so I turned to Yelp for advice. It was between pizza and a Mexican restaurant but since Pizzeria Classico had the higher rating they won and boy am I glad they did! We kept our order simple since it was our first visit-pizza, green side salad and drinks. For our pizza we chose the Pops (pepperoni, olives and mushroom) with hand tossed crust and it was really, really good. The sauce was a bit zesty, the toppings were not sparse or overly piled on and the crust had the perfect chew to it with a slight crispness to the bottom. It was delicious! I really like the the fact that you had several crust options-thin, Chicago deep dish, hand tossed and double stuffed. The green side salad was simple but very fresh and very tasty. Crunchy lettuce, cherry tomatoes, lots of shredded cheese and croutons. Another bonus-Coke products! They also serve beer and wine but we still had to drive back to Stockton so we passed. Our server was friendly and efficient and really the only thing I didn't care for was the bathroom located outside of the restaurant but that's a minor detail that other people may not care about. I'm just weird when it comes to bathrooms. Long story short-I would highly recommend Pizzeria Classico if you're visiting Downtown Folsom and need a tasty bite to eat! read more

The pizza was very good, but the order and the bill were wrong. We ordered a large not a medium, we also ordered 1/2 - pestopotatoes and 1/2 everything combo. Last saturday, My family and I visited sutter street for their trick or treat holloween event that day. We got hungry and so we decided that we will want have some pizza. We always come here because we like their pizza. But boy, we waited for over 40 minutes and our food was not ready yet but somehow the other 3 families that came after us got their pizzas already. I will be lying if I said we were not upset seeing other people getting their food before us. Anyway, I told one of the staffs ( I think her name was Hannah) about the situation, and boy our pizza was not even in the system and was not processed after waiting for over 40 minutes. But Hannah and Jason was very apologetic and took care of us as much as they can and that made us felt that we are not being neglected. The service was excellent, The pizza and beer were good. Drove here from Stockton for the deep dish pizza. Man was it worth it. The recipe for the dough is spot on. Light airy and flavorful. ( not many crusts can brag about flavor) The base of the pizza was almost a thin crust which really added to the overall crust/topping ratio. Sauce may be homemade too because it was so good. We had the pizza skins and a small deep dish islander. Great wine and beer offered here too. I was really excited to try this place for my grandsons birthday. Pizza places seem to be less than they have been in the past I'm sure as a reflection to the cost of labor and ingredients in this economy. So decided to try this place and see how it was. Came here during lunch time and there was no wait, plenty of seating space. They have different crust options but I asked for the classic one which is your normal crust with red sauce. We weren't super hungry so we skipped their infamous garlic chips (appetizer) and went straight for the pizza. They have a wide variety of pizza toppings, styles of pizza, and combinations. For styles, they offer hand-tossed (their classic), thin crust, deep dish, and calzones. We opted for the Stromboli hand-tossed (small) and a pizzette (personal-sized pizza) of the Classico (their version of a supreme or combination pizza). The Stromboli came with salami, pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom. The crust was thick but not too doughy and it was the perfect amount of sauce and toppings. My daughter, having a choice between this place and a burger place nearby chose PC solely on the strength of the pictures of the Garlic Chips. I'm glad I let her decide! CONS- a giant stroller was blocking the exit/entrance for half the restaurant, a huge safety and convenience issue. (I am disabled and have mobility issues, so this makes me particularly nervous and I'm sensitive to this) No workers here took the initiative to move it until someone complained. Our server was slow and sometimes snappy and rude with his responses to our concerns. We ordered the deep dish crust and it was kinda tasteless and dry.
