The girl at the cash register was extremely rude to us today. We walked in, and my husband and I have had a long day so we weren't really talking and we were just quiet, ordered our food, etc. but the girl at the cash register kept glaring at my husband, and when we got up there to pay and get our drinks, she glared at us and slammed the drink cups down in front of us. She was very cold and rude. When she delivered my pizza (my husband already had his); she basically chucked it down into the table almost throwing it on top of my husband's pizza...she didn't even try to set it down in front of me. I don't know what her problem was, but she was very rude in her mannerisms and actions. No matter how good the food is, this is NOT a place we will be eating at again. 1 star. read more

First I'd like to say that I'm a huge pizza snob. Being from the well-known foodie destination, Portland Oregon, I've had some of the best/high quality foods made in America, not to mention that my best friend's mom makes the best pizza I've ever had. Moving to the southern midwest was hard for a lot of reasons but the main one was the food. I never considered myself picky until having to down so many low quality meals. (Sorry utah) That being said, pizzeria Limone gave me my heart's desire! A pizza made in a real pizza oven, with crust that doesn't upstage the toppings, and a restaurant that throws most pizza norms in the garbage! The Pera pizza with blackberries added is in my top 3 best pizza's I've ever eaten. Even their more 'basic' pizzas are very delicious. I highly recommend!!! read more

Very nice and refreshingly different! The house marinara sauce on the pizzas was delicious. The classic marinara was good, but opt for the house marinara. The lemon vinaigrette salad dressing was also delicious. They also have orange vinaigrette which is also very nice. Now, in some restaurants lemon vinaigrette does not have a good balance and can be too acidic; this one is nice with great seasonings. Both the Catana and Tre Sorelle salads were very nice. The Margherita Napoli Pizza was great, and I even do it without cheese (I add extra house marinara). I also added Kalamata olives, delicious. The staff is very nice and helpful and are nicely accustomed to the ingredient changes we always make. :-) Because we do so, the watch-them-as-they-make-it pizza bar is perfect. The space is simple, modern, clean, stylized. We are not from the area, but will return upon all trips to St. George! The next is in a week. read more

This is the third time we have come in to give this restaurant another try. The people working behind the counter are less than enthusiastic to take our order. They are not wearing any head covers or hats and one has hair hanging in his eyes. The first time we came in we enjoyed the burata but it is no longer on the menu. My salad was drowned in dressing. We used cash and they were unable to make change. We won't be back again. Last Sunday the service was unacceptably slow but today it went faster and our wait was less than 7 minutes before our order was taken. We ordered three pizzas and a large salad which they forgot to bring. But the manager was apologetic and gave us a coupon for future use. We could not believe the poor service and timing of our meal tonight. After waiting more than 30 minutes two pizzas were brought out to us (7 in our group). After another 10 minutes I went in and asked if we could at least have the salad we ordered. That came out after another 1-2 minutes. Then the remaining pizzas came in 5-6 minutes. The service was so unorganized and several people who ordered after us were finished before we got our final pizzas. This was yummy! I tried the Pera. It has an olive oil base with garlic, red onion, sliced pears, prosciutto, Basil, and pistachios on top of five cheeses. Everybody should go here at least once! This is not your average pizza place. Thin crust that is wood fired, so the crust is crisp and usually has a little char. There are unique flavor combinations. They are not really loaded up with toppings - it's kind of sparsely designed. We eat at PL frequently. My husband loves the Ferrari which is not on most locations menu, but its all the meats and cherry tomatoes. It's got a spicy kick. My favorite is the Pera (with added balsamic glaze on top after cooking). The brownies by the checkout are rich and delicious. The salads are great. My kids don't love this unique pizza. It's not going to be for everyone. Tip: It's easy for one person to eat an entire pie as the crust is thin and toppings are scant. I hope they branch out and create more flavors. I really liked this place. I would say it is my favorite out of all the speedy pizza cooking places. I did not order a pizza. My hubby did and so did my girls and they loved it. They did wish they had more toppings. But really liked their choices. For that only 4 stars. I LOVED my salad. All the other pizza places have really boring salads. After trying Pizzeria Limone a couple of times now I am officially a fan. I really like the pizzas over at Riggatti's, but love that I have another option like Pizzeria Limone that I really like as well. Inside was clean and they have plenty of seating inside and outside on the covered patio. There is a menu on the wall as you walk in the front entrance (there is an entry/exit door to the patio also) and some of the toppings like blackberries might throw you off. Either give one of their signature creations a try or if those aren't toppings you'd prefer on a pizza then just ask them and they will put the toppings you would like on it. I went more traditional with pepperoni my first time and then branched out and tried one of their signature creations the next time. This isn't your typical Neapolitan pizza joint so you'll have to have an open mind that it's done with a twist here. Pepperoni Pizza ($7.45) - House-made red sauce, pepperoni and 5 cheeses. The pizzas are topped with 5 cheeses being aged mozzarella, fresh mozzarella, parmigiano reggiano, parmigiani pecorino and asiago. The pizza dough is hand-stretched. I really liked the crust! It was slightly blistered with the right amount of crispness. The sauce, cheese and pepperoni had great flavor, I just wished the pizza was bigger. This particular one I could eat most slices in two bites. My next visit the pizza I tried wasn't as small, so maybe it was an off day my first visit however consistency is key. This pizza is a safe and delicious choice if you aren't feeling any of the signature pizzas. Verdure Pizza ($7.95) - This one has house-made red sauce, garlic, grape tomatoes, red onions, portobello mushrooms, kalamata olives, 5 cheeses, olive oil and basil. For the amount of toppings on this pizza, I was really impressed with how well the crust held everything up. I didn't taste any garlic which is a bummer because I love garlic on pizza, but the rest of the toppings were tasty. I'm really glad I tried this pizza and would order it again. Zuppa ($3.95 for the small size) - This is a soup made of house-fire roasted tomatoes and they added shredded mozzarella, creme fraiche, crushed pistachios and basil. You can request that any of the add-ins be left out. I thought the soup had good flavor, but it was a little too thick for my liking and tasted more like a marinara dip to me, so I dipped my pizza crust in it. I'd skip this soup next time and get a salad instead. They also have salads to choose from and offer their "Limone Brownie" and have gelato if you have room for dessert. read more

I'll try this place one more time in about a month and see if they've fixed some pretty big quality and service/organization issues. I wanted to see another good pizza choice in St. George, so I was eager to try Pizzeria Limone shortly after they opened. The restaurant is conveniently located, professionally decorated, and has a nice shaded patio off to the left adjacent to the parking lot. It's a cafeteria style arrangement where you walk in along the right side (menus on the wall next to you) and then there's supposed to be someone there to greet you and take your order. The menu looked quite tempting, although I didn't see any gluten free options. It was mid-day lunch hour, and no one was there to greet me, so I want over by the cash register and waited behind someone else while I watched the manager begrudgingly take a phone call while a trainee cashier talked to a lady in front of me about catering options. After waiting more than five minutes, I was told to go back where I started where (now) someone was there to take my order. He said he had a problem with the oven and he had "been away for a while." I placed an order for a margherita pizza and went back to the cashier to pay. I wanted to give her a $20 bill, and she asked if I could use a CC. "Our cash drawer is locked, and the manager needs to find the key still," she said. Wasn't a huge deal, but seemed pretty fundamental, especially with food and small-ticket orders. I went to get ice for my water glass and the ice was out. I sat down and my pizza was delivered. I could see right away that the ingredients were really skimpy and I was disappointed to see little cherry tomatoes on a margherita pizza. The pizza was burnt on the bottom -- something that shows up in other reviews here. I like thin, crispy crust, so if anything I'd be forgiving in this area. (See photos.) I ate half of my pretty unsubstantial pizza and left. I had noticed so many things here that I was prompted to call one of their stores up north and pass on the message. I'm happy to upgrade this review if after another visit I see some improvement. read more

We came in from San Diego for softball. We got there around 7:15p and the pizza is yum! But the disappointment was that it took them 45min to make my salad. We waited for 20 minutes and the only reason the line got shorter is because others ahead of us were leaving because the line hadn't budged in their time waiting. We had the absolute worst experience at this location. We ordered online and it said it would be ready in 20 to 30 minutes. When we got to the restaurant they didn't have any history of our order even though we had a confirmation. We re-ordered the pizza and they said it would be done in 15 minutes. When I came back to pick up the pizza 15 minutes later, they had not started making it because apparently I had to pay for it before they would start making it. Of course they didn't mention that fact to me like I'm just supposed to know that off the top of my head. The manager on duty doesn't speak English and that they made no effort to make it right, even though we've been waiting for over an hour for something that should've taken 15 minutes. When I asked to speak to her manager, the teenager pointed to her and said she doesn't speak English. You have to remind them to pay you and get you your check. W2 are not sent at all and they don't have a phone number to call to get help. It really is not a good place to work. often not enough employees and they give you more hours than you asked for, especially while going to college. I grab a pizza from here every time I fly through SLC airport. The pizza is a perfect size and is cooked perfectly every time I go. I go the basic pepperoni route and am happy each and every time! For a fast food style pizzeria, the pizza was great. Customer service was lacking and i was a bit turned off by the fact that the guy kneading the dough dint have a hair net on (he had long hair). Don't all food handlers have to wear hair nets? Has this place been open for a short time? Seems like there isn't a set ordering system in place. Pretty solid pizza for 'foodie' types who like things like pear and blackberries and prosciutto on their pizza. The well-done-steak-with-ketchup-eating Mr. Trump would be flabbergasted with this place, demanding a ground beef and mayonnaise pie like he gets from "Dum-nose". I enjoyed the somewhat esoteric recipes - my wife loves the Limone, with sliced lemon, olive oil, and five cheeses. I had one with their homemade sausage, which left a little to be desired. The sausage was too soft, and underseasoned. The Kalamata olives should be cut smaller- they overpower any bite where they're present. As others have noted, my crust was a tad too toasty, and the char irritated every few bites. But overall it was good, particularly the thick part of the crust, which was bubbly and chewy. The service was just okay. The young lady who made our pizzas forgot part of the cheese on my wife's. Didn't add any fresh mozzarella. My wife called her out on it and she said, "Oh no, I put it on there.... Let me just double-check... Oh, yeah, I must have forgotten." We ordered a $4 cup of lemonade, which they admitted was made with "lemonade mix". We got the "Sicilian Pear" variety, which was quite good, with a mystery purple syrup, mashed blackberries, and a few other things. Except for the fact they fill the cup ENTIRELY with ice, so the 20-oz cup contains only about 6oz of liquid. When I asked for a refill, the guy said, "Sorry, we don't give refills on the lemonade." I pressed, "Come on, it was four dollars, and as you can see the cup is completely full with ice- you can top it up, come on, man." He relented, and awkwardly filled me up without saying another word. I felt bad for making the guy feel awkward. I laughed and tried to be chummy about it, but he looked like he was short-circuiting as silly policy confronted reason. Could have been handled better, but that is the kind of culture that has to come top-down. Hey Manager, maybe train them to say something like, "We normally don't give refills, but sure! It looks like we did get you way too much ice in there, sorry about that! Did you enjoy it though? Is everything alright with your pizzas?" Maybe tossing out an extra cup of lemonade costs you 50 cents, but it might get someone to come back and spend another $23 on dinner. One more thing, my pizza was cut extremely irregularly. I had one giant piece, four normalish/small pieces, one tiny piece about the size of a credit card, and an orphan chunk in the middle the size of a postage stamp. I'll probably be back, because my wife and mother in law love it, but I probably wouldn't go on my own at this point.
