Green chile chicken soup was soooo good
Jean C.

A coworker and I went for lunch on Friday. It wasn't busy. We were greeted immediately and told to choose a table. We both ordered the chicken green chile soup. Outstanding! The bread that came with it was a little hard but good. $10 for 5 smallish mozzarella sticks is a little pricey. They were overcooked but tasted okay. My friend ordered a side salad. She wanted ranch dressing. It came with a very small portion in a plastic container. Our server Tara rarely checked on us because she would have beebln asked for more dressing. Tara didn't clear dirty dishes the few times she came to our table. She didn't refill my water either. We had to ask for our check. It was difficult for me to tip 20% but I did anyway. The soup was the best thing about the visit. And the company. When I asked Tara for some to go containers she gave me two round plastic containers. Perfect for my soup but odd for my cheesticks/marinersla sauce. I had to ask for something to put the marinera sauce in. With training I'm sure Tara will be a great server. We just weren't impressed with her during our visit.

My first time trying this place. Visited on a Friday midday, it was a little after the lunch rush. Walked into the restaurant and greeted by friendly staff. We sat towards the back of the restaurant. The restaurant was decorated with many different pieces of artwork. It wasn't too crowded at the time so the noise level was low. We decided to order the Chicken Parmesan sandwich with a salad. The salad was great, I loved the balsamic vinaigrette. The Chicken sandwich was fairly large for a lunch portion. I couldn't finish it and ended up taking it home. We also tried the Chili Chicken Alfredo pasta which was so flavorful. Overall, we had a great dining experience. Thank you!

Pesto pasta and Italian burger

4.5 stars Came here last night (on a weekday night) and it was packed! Lots of birthday celebrations and after work happy hour get togethers (they have a good happy hour menu until 6), so our wait was about half hour. The calamari appetizer was delicious and couldn't decide which sauce we liked more- the spicy marinara or the artichoke pesto. It's a small place and it was a little loud and warmer closer to the kitchen. My friend got the pesto pasta with chicken and I got the Italian burger (that's supposed to be like a giant meatball and had goat cheese on top and a side of sweet potato fries). I got the burger based on several good reviews I had seen in the foodies group. The burger itself was a good size, but the side of marinara and garlic definitely made the burger stand out a bit more. We didn't get dessert and I did get a little bit of heartburn from one of the sauces, but I'd say it lived up to the reviews. Overall, from waiting to about the time we left was about two hours. 2025 #3

We were looking for a new place to try and stumbled on to this place. The atmosphere was pretty good but the food wasn't. My chicken parm was overcooked and very dry. They don't put much sauce on it either. My wife had the meatball calzoni and she said that was pretty good. I will chalk this up as a bad night and probably give it one more try.

My first time there. Lovely place. The baked ziti was outstanding. Well done. Our server thanked me for the business with a hand shake. Outstanding. A neighbor of yours.

Service is always great here. Food is delicious!! Great happy hour menu. Best marinara in town. I love their eggplant stackitini, the meatballs are moist and delicious, their salads are great. The meatball burger is amazing. Love the tuna ahi! Pastas are good. It is very noisy and packed on Friday nights so expect to wait. Definitely not a romantic spot but we have date nights there often!!

Everyone has an off day. I've been to Luca before and have had a good meal and good service. This was not one of those visits. Following a long day of travel, I decided to Order two pizzas and a salad from pizzeria Luca thinking it would be an easy task. Ordering went well, I showed up a half hour later as asked. The hostess, also MVP, let me know that they were having some issues with their pizza maker. The order was about a half hour late and pretty expensive, just south of $70 for two 14 inch pizzas and a wedge salad. Unfortunately, the pizza was definitely not worth the wait.

Pizza mood, need someplace new - here we are. Tucked away in a corner. Look quick you may miss it the 1st time. Passed by the patio, too cold for that one. Walked inside what looked like a rustic pizza joint. Others were slowly coming in to celebrate Friday happy hour. But early enough to get a table. Happy hour (smaller portion) Calamari- lightly fried with marinara sauce. Liked the marinara, hot & spicy from the chili pepper flakes. Naples Calzoni for me - loaded with meat, great flavor, a little oily(thx to the meat). Easily remedied with a napkin. Marinara still good & enough for the whole meal. The wife had Ziti Pollo. Flavorful baked dish with plenty of cheese on top & chicken inside. The green chile added some spiciness with being too hot. Service was spot on. Good choice for dinner and we'll be back.

Craving Italian food nearby so decided to order takeout on a Sunday afternoon. Called, and was put on hold while the host took care of a customer. I continued to stay on hold, while browsing the menu online. Then I started to order online. Finally, I placed my order online and the host never completed my call after 20 minutes. Upon arriving, it was really quiet. The host was very nice and friendly. Surprisingly, they had my order ready and it was fast. The food was ok, but not something I'd rave about. The portions were fair. I am curious to go in for drinks, as the people at the bar looked like they were having a good time!

July 16, 2023. Sunday. Dinner. We visited here on our date night and I was hungry. For pizza. Edgar, our waiter, visited our table regularly and refilled our waters about four times. It happened to still be happy hour. The bar had every seat filled. I ordered the 14" Luca pizza ($20) with anchovies ($2), which was four pizzas in one. This pizza had 8 slices: 2 of pesto pizza (pesto sauce with buffalo mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes and pinon), 2 of margherita (fresh basil, mozzarella, marinara, and evoo), 2 of calabria (prosciutto, onions, fontina truffle oil, and marinara) and 2 of modena (italian sausage, pepperoni, cremini mushrooms, roasted garlic, and house made marinara). My favorite, by far, was the Calabria, with that lovely truffle oil and spicy prosciutto. I wish I had ordered an entire Calabria pizza. The cheese wasn't the best, and I wish they used a wood oven so the crust could be charred. The crust tasted flat and uninspired. I did like the meats and other toppings, besides the cheese. Edgar told us they would be added more dishes to the menu soon. He said Luca has been around for 12 years. It is a nice, small, cozy Italian restaurant. We paid a total of $38.80 for two nice dishes. Visit here hungry and you will leave happy.

Our son wanted to take us here for an early Mother's Day dinner and I have to say I was surprised…read moreat how good the food was! I wasn't expecting it to look so pretty and taste so good! Dorothea's is a nice white table cloth restaurant that feels upscale but still homey enough to bring our soon to be 2 yo grandson. We had: Steamed clams 5/5: The clams were prepared, presented and flavored well. There were 2 clams that didn't open so it would have been nice if they just removed them instead of tempting us to pry them open (which would be bad clams) but the other clams were so good we wanted to open them! The sauce was a little too wine-y for me but I can see how some people would enjoy dipping the bread they give you into it. Crab mac and cheese 5/5: Wow. The bechamel sauce was so rich and creamy! Good chunks of crab made this mac and cheese so decadent! Greek salad 4/5: This was fresh and tasty but I was a little surprised by how small the salad was considering all the other dishes have such an amazing price point! It would serve once person well. Lobster pasta 5/5: Nice spicy kick that hits you later. Good chunks of lobster and the pasta was so light! I forgot to ask if it was fresh pasta or not. Maybe a question for our next visit! Niko gyro 5/5: the meat was good but what made it amazing was all those nice shoestring fries on top! The fries also had some kind of spicy pepper on top that gives it the extra kick! Traditional gyro 4/5: This was just your traditional gyro with fries. It's good but it doesn't seem fancy! Overall I love this place! The price point is amazing and if we have the time I would definitely like to come again with the family. The service was great with our waiter David filling our water glasses without us having to ask. He also cleared the table and was easy to talk to. Love this place!

My favorite were the little neck clams, lamb lollipop, and Greek plate. The Saganaki, crab stack, and tiropita were just okay. Lamb Shank: This was one of the best entrees ordered. The meat was fall apart tender and flavorful. The orzo was a little watery but was cooked to the correct doneness. Branzino: I assumed that this would be a whole branzino fish but they had already taken it apart which was nice. However, there were a couple of bones that were missed. Crab Mac: This was cheesy and very good. My only grip is that the pasta was a little overcooked. Service: 5 The servers were patient with all the questions and orders from a big group. They did not make any mistakes and food came out at good intervals. Ambiance: 5 The restaurant would be perfect for a date night. It wasn't too noisy and offered a little privacy between tables.

It is not the biggest restaurant, and is popular, so I would recommend being prepared to wait during "popular busy time" but it is so worth the wait. So I also recommend waiting. The staff is always pretty friendly and accommodating. I shared an app, a roll and an order of salmon sashimi with a friend on both visits. The food is always fresh, and delicious! I never feel like I am being overcharged for what I get either. Going to eat for sushi can feel like that sometimes. The quality of the food is great and everything is always aesthetically pleasing as well. I had their avocado bomb on my last visit and I was delightfully surprised with it. I like avocado in most cases, but sometimes, it can be a lot at one. I thought this was going to be like that when I saw it, but I was wrong. I look forward to getting one of these on my next visit! On my last visit my friend and I saved room for a dessert, one that we saw rotating on their screens that they have in the restaurant showcasing some of the menu items. It was a take on a bananas foster. It looked delicious but alas, we'll see if we can manage to get it next time. Note to self, have dessert first on next visit?

The wings had lots of sauce but zero heat and questionable as to undercooked. My steak with truffle fries and broccolini were okay. The only thing that saved the plate were the fries. The steak needed salt and the broccolini was almost raw and needed salt; I can't remember the last time I've ever needed salt at a restaurant. The plate was swimming in oil that likely was a finishing oil since it still had that raw taste to it. My husband had the mussels that basically seemed like a large appetizer with nothing but the starter bread to add to it. There might have been garlic in there, but the fact he wasn't sure says enough. The server was attentive and very kind so that helped. Such a sad downfall for @farinaalto

My wife meets a friend there for lunch every couple months, though, and she's been hectoring me to return, insisting it's better. And she's right: Farina Alto is better than it was. And - bearing in mind that it's about to re-brand as Pazzi now that the Keenes are out of it - management seems to _really_ care about how things are going - wow, but the service is fantastic these days. The food is better, too - not killing it the way the service was, but good. The wine list is actually really interesting for a place of this sort. And, while it's no longer the as inexpensive as when Farina Alto _first_ opened (covid and qualitative easement took care of that), the soon-to-be-Pazzi has MUCH more sensible pricing than the restaurant did a year ago - yes, the prices have gone _down_. Crispy Brussels sprouts had great flavor but way too much cayenne pepper (which adds nothing but heat) my husband ate them but said he would prefer less heat. I had 2 bites and gave up. Baked brie was amazing I loved the granny Smith apples! My husband loved them too. We also got the hummus duo which has dates on it and I used a date in the brie that was fantastic! I'll ask for that next time! It was the bomb. Hummus duo was good the watermelon radish was beautiful on the plate but gave both hummus a bitter flavor. Shrimp and grits. We live in Alabama currently and this was our least favorite dish of the day. Shrimp were cooked well and so were the grits but there was just something else it needed. Parmesan cheese and some onions maybe. Greek salad delicious. The flash fried chick peas made it. We needed more dressing and the wait staff was prompt and sweet about it. Spicy Lime Ceasar was ok till he requested more dressing then it was amazing. I was afraid of ordering it but the dressing wasn't too spicy . White sangria I had was disappointing it was more of a 1995 wine spritzer than a wine infused with citrus which is the very essence of sangria. Both adults also got the pork belly flatbread. I found it a bit unbalanced with too much sauce and not enough other toppings, and the base wasn't as crispy as I prefer. Speaking of crispy, we opted for the appetizer brussel sprouts, and they were a bit chewy and on the not so super crispy side.
