Where to begin, where to begin?! The workers, the atmosphere, the food!? Everything is great here. We are such foodies for Italian food and this place hits every single corner we love. It's not super big, not really loud. It doesn't have alot of tables inside and you can tell any time we've been it's definitely a couple or like local in the area spot. People just hanging out, watching TV, having a desert or single pizza! It's just really nice! When we went in we decided to try it on a Thursday night not expecting it to be busy but it definitely was! It was a 25 min wait which we were willing to wait for but a spot opened up at the bar and my Cowboys were on so we decided to sit with the bartender! He was great, super quick and made sure we were okay and enjoying everything every step of the way since he found out we had never been there. There were lots of regulars at the bar chatting up all the workers and calling them by name like they know them, you can tell people really enjoy this place! We've been multiple times now and had a variety of dishes from the chicken parm, spaghetti, chicken Alfredo, all so good. The marinara sauce they use is SO good we of course had to buy a little jar of it to use at home! We will definitely continue to come see the staff here! They don't miss! read more

I've been in (well, patio only) twice over the summer, including for my birthday. They offer a gluten-free pizza and I like that the Luca has slices of four different pizzas - you get to try a little bit of all the pizza, and you can't go wrong with that! The gluten free crust is pretty standard/comparable to what you'd see at other upscale pizza places in town that offer them. I remember real pizza and sadly, the thin GF crusts just aren't there yet. But it's not bad! Toppings were fresh and of good quality. Prices are a little high, but the food's a little upscale so fair enough. I enjoyed a glass of wine that was reasonably priced. I didn't try anything else (had pizza my second visit as well) but friends ordered regular pizza and a sandwich, and both looked really good. We're looking for new great places in Albuquerque to eat. We are new to the area. We were recommended to this restaurant by our good friends. Have a great selection of wines. The food is very mediocre. My husband ordered chicken Parmesan came our burnt and dry looking and sent it back to re-order the lasagna he ate it because he was hungry, but the tomato sauce tasted very acidic he would not order that again. Veggies on the plate were over cooked and soggy. I ordered the clams and linguine. Expected it to be on a plate and it was in a bowl like soup. Be sure you get extra bread so you can soak up some of that juice. The dish was ok. Food is very overpriced for what you get. We would definitely go back and have pizza with a glass of wine, but that's it. read more

My family and I were craving for Italian cuisine and would like to try something new. So we came out with the idea of stopping by and checking out these pizzeria nearby. The first thing I noticed about this place is the coziness and the relaxing feel I get. It's a good place to bring friends around especially for a long chitchat(catching up). They offer wine and micro brew beer. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. He offered a free taste for the kind of beer and wine we would love to try. My husband and I ordered a tall dark nut beer and we both liked it a lot. My sister in-law tried the sangria and She loved it. For the main menu, I actually ordered the green Chile chicken Alfredo lasagna. It was delicious guys. It comes with a garlic sourdough bread and veggies. I loved how the vegetables were marinated. The combined flavors of the sides and the lasagna was totally the best. A must try. Pizza was surprisingly good. My niece ordered like a built your own pizza made up of pepperoni, artichoke, bell pepper, spinach and mozzarella cheese. The meatball calzone was really good, you guys should try it too. Visiting from Omaha I ordered the pepperoni, mushroom, and red pepper pizza. I found it to ignite my taste buds with just the amount of zest and spice. One pizza is plenty of food for two people. The ingredients and sauce outweigh the weight of the crust, so you get the biggest bang for your buck. It's not a bunch of bread and a few pepperoni slices. I ordered ahead which was very convenient and paid the door, didn't wait long at all, and was in and out very fast. The place is easily accessible with plenty of parking right off the main highway. Bar seating which was full on a September Tuesday at 430. Dining in or on partially covered patio (which said pet friendly). Patio empty when we arrived, full when we left, we had the early shift. Ordered Italian steak so jus hero with fries and Eggplant Parmesan hero with sweet potato fries. Filling and nicely delicious, I really liked the rustic bread. Stopped by for lunch while we were running errands in our old stomping grounds. Shared a bowl of green Chile chicken soup to start. The flavor was very good, but the potatoes were just a little undercooked. For the main course, we shared a pesto chicken sandwich on focaccia. The portion was huge. Sharing was definitely the right choice. The sandwich was delicious. The chicken was moist and well seasoned and the pesto and horseradish on the sandwich complemented the chicken and cheese. All this was topped off with a generous portion of arugula and a thick slice of fresh tomato. We topped all this off with tiramisu which was good. Local craft beers on tap, friendly service and good food with the bonus of two TVs showing college basketball. read more

When you walk into this place it was busy the hostess was friendly but you also notice how eclectic the clientele are. Every walk of life in one room enjoying themselves. The wait was not long and the bar was sure to ask if we wanted anything while we waited. The menu although a two sided plastic covered 8 1/2 by 11 sheet had a fair variety of food and specials. I ordered the sausage and peppers/onions. It was amazing although a little small, I have not had a better one in a long time. My better half ordered the baked ziti and added chicken. The ziti was great, however the chicken was under seasoned and the tendon was not removed (not good eats). The waitress was attentive without being intrusive even though she was busy. Desert was ok . The bill was not bad considering as a whole the experience was a positive one. We will be back to try other things and determine if this was a fluke or it was as good as it was. read more

I have been here a few times, usually on Sundays. But today we decided to go and the happy hour was from 2-6pm on weekdays. The happy hour menu was extensive with the availability to get toasted ravioli, meatballs, garlic bread, at least 3 different salads, soup, small cheese pizza, etc. There were some drink specials too, but I like to get the Breckenridge Vanilla Porter they have there on tap. The atmosphere is awesome here. I like the seating, the brick walls, the art, and the music they play. I enjoy the variety of the menu and always find something new to try. The servers are always attentive and the restaurant is clean. I see families in there eating and all kinds of different people, on nice days the patio is a nice place to sit. Well, for starters it's probably one of the better pie houses in Albuquerque, period. That said...good pizza is very hard to come by in ABQ. I know there are some other Midwesterners and east-coast dagos who are shaking their head in agreement right now. The service just needs a little tweaking. It's not cool to sit up at the bar and listen to a bartender complain about personal issues...just not why patrons go out to eat... Sorry. Mgmt might want to reel that in a bit. I know People have "days" and no one is perfect, myself included but again, just serve the food and pretend you're happy there are paying guests in your establishment. :). read more
