Ok, so I know this is a bit of review whiplash so bear with me. Yes, there was an issue with something not being installed correctly on my car. But let me tell you what the team at Placentia Super Service did to fix it. From the minute I called to let them know what was going on, Paul and Ben were extremely communicative; checking in to see what the diagnosis was and what they could do to fix it. Ultimately, they decided that they were going to tow the car back to the shop so they can take care of the work for me. I live in Escondido, which is about an hour and a half away. So they paid for a tow truck to come all the way from Placentia to Escondido and back in order to resolve the issues on my car. After the car was fixed and good to go, Ben personally drove it back to my home so I didn't have to worry about a tow truck making it up my driveway. Not only that, but they covered the cost of the rental I needed, as well as the invoice from the shop in Escondido I originally took it to for diagnosis. All in all they did everything they could to fix their mistake and ensure that I wasn't responsible for paying anymore than my original service. Was it frustrating in the beginning? Yes. I requested a quote to fix a noise coming from the rear passenger tire on my vehicle and got a response from the owner Bob. He said they service teslas and are more affordable and faster than Tesla service. So, first off, it's $215 for diagnosis which does not go toward your repairs. Then I get my estimate for tire alignment, and replacement of right rear axle boot and front control arm for $5k and an additional $2k to replace the tires. Although a bit sticker shocked, I went ahead and approved the repair minus the tires. I dropped the car off on 11/21 and the work was completed on 12/3. Their warranty is awesome, I'll give them that and they are very high tech when it comes to diagnosis and doing things online (they have videos that help you understand what is wrong with your car in their electronic estimate and diagnostics). So, they tell me to bring my car back after I get my tires. I have another car, so it took me a while to get new tires plus, it was the holidays--with traveling and being a night shift nurse working 70hrs a week and sleeping during the day, I didn't get around to bringing my car back until March. In those 3 months, they sent reminder texts to bring my car back in for the alignment (which I didn't mind). The last text told me that they still had to put the covers back under my vehicle (which they never told me they kept). So, thinking that my battery was fully exposed, I told them I would bring the car in on Saturday. I was told it would take an hour. I arrive at 4pm and was told that they couldn't do the work since all the technicians had already gone home. Imagine how annoyed I was. Paul asked me to come back Monday. I told him I worked. He asked what time I get up. I told him 3pm. He asked if I could get up at 230pm to bring the car in and he would provide me with a loaner car. I agreed despite my annoyance at having wasted my time because he was nice about it. Monday comes, I arrive a few minutes after 230pm. They ask me if I'll be hanging out for a while (was confused bec I was told I was getting a loaner). I asked how long and they said by the end of the day. 1) I wasn't gonna hang out at the shop for the entire day 2) I had work at 4. They laughed (yes, laughed!) asked me to bring the car back the next day and asked who told me to come today and I said Paul. Paul then says, "Well, I didn't tell you to come at 3pm." Ummm, yes you did sir. So, they proceed to argue amongst themselves and Paul, in frustration, finally gets up and says he'd just do the job himself. It is now 330pm and I'm still sitting here about to be late for work--when I could've gone home with a loaner vehicle and they could've taken their time with my car instead of rushing. In the end, I was made to feel like they did me a favor by servicing my car when they were the ones that asked me to come on Monday at 230pm in the first place! read more

I saw a bad rack and pinion boot that needed to be replaced and brought my truck in. Gilbert Escobedo helped me out and I'm glad that there was an inspection done, as there was work needed on the drive shaft bearing, brake-fluid change and transmission pan gasket change needed. Very disappointed in this place. I went here because of the good reviews and my normal mechanic was not open on the weekend and wanted to get my car checked out because it was making noise occasionally when I brake and I make a 400+ mile commute every 2 weeks. Well they apparently heard that and decided to run with it and proceeded to give me a $6,000+ quote for multiple things needing to be done to my 2015 Prius with 80,000 miles. Everything from brake pads at 3mm, spark plugs, a collapsed motor mount, worn out shock absorber, torn sway bar, and worn control arm that all needed immediate attention. The pictures in the diagnostic didn't show any of the damage. They tried to scare me into thinking I would be stuck on the side of the road if I didn't get at least half of the work done. I thankfully decided to risk it and make my 400+ commute one more time and wait til I went to my regular mechanic where I showed them the email of all the issues they found and they looked at my car and it came to a whopping $300 for them to filter my transmission fluid, replace my air filter and give me new wiper blades because they didn't see anything that needed immediate attention. The best part is that my 3mm brakes pads were actually at a 6. It's disgusting that so many car shops are so quick to see a lone female walk in and want to completely rip them off thinking they don't know any better so they'll pay whatever they tell them. Another great thing about my visit with them was that a couple had come in, while I was trying to pay for the diagnostic and just take my car, screaming at them about their car because they overcharged them and didn't fix it right so I 100% made the right call to leave and I'll be sure to make sure everyone knows to never go to Placentia Super Service. read more
