6/20/25- We were there tonight around six, set at that first table behind the host stand. Lets discuss the food, beignet hush puppies yummy. However the most impressive part of the evening was the staff. The manager & person who brought out our food absolutely wonderful. Wait it gets better: The server, whose name is Lulu. I am obsessed and highly recommend if you're wanting seafood. The oysters were only $2 a piece during their happy hour and you can tell it was high quality. The ceviche, oysters, calamari and harvest salad were my favorite. The cucumber cocktail was refreshing and crisp. Our waiter, Christopher, was amazing. I highly recommend requesting him. I came during happy hour so I had happy hour Rose' and trout dip. The dip was yummy! For the main part I had sea scallops which came with pasta and ordered a side a crispy Brussels sprouts. It was very good. For desert, I had a lemon tart with berries which was great, very tasty but not a heavy dessert. read more

Started with the Calamari which was very tender with great flavor. Had the scallops as recommended by our server. Excellent choice, cooked perfectly. Dessert was a custard with butterscotch. Very cute decor inside and convenient location too. The staff are friendly and it's very clean inside. The drinks are average but the food is above average. I have visited this place twice and I am still on the fence. First visit, the cocktails were delicious, beautiful garnished and made with care. The food was ok but could have been better. The crab dip is good but the charred bread, not so much. The red fish was so thin and very unsavory, like hard to chew because it was so thin and overcooked. The server was attentive until he spilled our pot of coffee and did not offer a refill. The atmosphere is very nice and enjoyable so I really wanted to love this place. Second visit was horrible. The same cocktails were very sour and missing the coconut flavor as the first time and no garnish. Brought it to the attention of the bartender and she could have cared less. Did not offer to make another and just shrugged it off. The prices are higher than most restaurants in the area so you expect excellence. Just tried this place. It was so nice to have wait staff that wants to take care of you! It's an interesting fusion of tai and traditional seafood offerings. Super great that they also offer some "normal non seafood" options as well. It's got a casual but upscale vibe to it. Me and my wife sat at the bar. It was a Saturday around 3pm. They were dead and every other restaurant was packed. Everything was good especially the fried rice and Red fish. The only issue we had was the bartender was not friendly, she was not mean or rude just kind of blank and did not talk very much, in fact I had to talk to her. The decor was a sophisticated sea theme with playful touches like large suspended fishing nets. We enjoyed drinks and attentive service. I loved the sea scallops and squid ink pasta. I will say this, the ambiance is nice and really what made us want to try this, my wife and I. However the experience was quickly diminished from the start, we came I. Around 330 and there was two people eating there. Once we were seated we waited 10 minutes to hear about our server when the host said our server was "busy" and took our initial drink order. I received my drink, and the glass of wine that was ordered never arrived, again only us and two other dining at the time total. After putting in our order we waited about 30-35 minutes for the food which isn't terrible. But our server was no where to be found. After we finished our dinner, our server disappeared and still wasn't even visible anywhere after our initial order. Arriving at 330 finally had to flag the other waitress down to ask to please get us our check since ours was still was no where to be seen. Check included wine which we never got and was at least removed. We still haven't seen our server at this point and left. Overall very disappointing experience read more

Service was great; the hostess was abit standoffish maybe was tired but for sure did not seem welcoming. Someone walked in with a dog and some workers went over to pet the dog - so I took off one star as this is just unsanitary. Enjoyed a wonderful meal here with good friends. Service was attentive and not overbearing. Among us, we shared some scrumptious beignets and unusually creamy tasty mac&cheese. Came here on a whim after going to see a ballet in Fort Worth. Food was good. There was an issue with one of the plates so the manager came out to apologize and comped us a dessert which was very nice. We went there to try out the food for a future adventure. Well, it won't happen there. We ordered the Calamari. It was horrible. The breading tasted as if fried in old used oil. We also ordered the cod fish and chips (both fish and chip were fried in same oil ). The fries tasted like fish. We also had the fried shrimp. Hush puppies were dry and tasted fishy (fried in same oil) the shrimp was fair but not great. So if you want sea food go to Razoo's or oyster Bar way better and decent prices. I wanted to like Plank Seafood Provisions. It's seafood close to our home. Chris, our server was great. We enjoyed the Beignet Style Hushpuppies. Chris recommended the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp. I thought the dish was good with the jalapeño aged white cheddar dirt grits, but I wouldn't order it again. My wife ordered the Redfish and we shared. It didn't have much flavor, and it tasted like it as overcooked, not like Redfish we've eaten elsewhere. read more

We really enjoyed Plank. We came in without a reservation and were offered a nice spot at the bar. Good energy and a very pleasant, comfortable setting greeted us with our first visit. Easy to have a conversation on a spontaneous date night with the wife. Service was friendly and accommodating and we both enjoyed our food and drinks. The port old fashioned is a must try. We shared the shrimp toast, brussel sprouts, hush puppies (yum!) and tuna entree. All solid and would order again. Prices are fair. We went in and ordered the "chefs special" for the evening which was a scallop feature. When we got the bill it has a $10 per plate upcharge for getting the special. This was never mention nor have i ever seen this at any other restraunt, ever. We have been waiting for this restaurant to open and let me tell you it did not disappoint! First of all our server Erica was FABULOUS! She gave us great advice on the menu and was so kind and attentive! The oysters were amazing, my husband and I got the fish tacos and jalapeño salmon burger and they were both very good! We also ordered the smoked fish spread which was delicious. The ambiance is fantastic I loved all of the small design touches. Others at table got fish with broccolini stems but not much broccolini. No one thought their entree was something to even comment. We really wanted to like this place. First, the ambience and staff are excellent. However, unfortunately the food wasn't as great. Got the scallops and potatoes. The scallops had a very off putting burnt flavor, the bernaise sauce was flavorless, and potatoes weren't salted. My husband said his food was just ok too. I will say, the staff did comp a dessert and discounted my dinner when they discovered I wasn't jazzed about my meal. So again, the staff is excellent. Maybe we came on an off night.
