We had a group of about 14 girls on a bachelorette trip, and we showed up around 11:00 AM. There was about an hour wait, so we went and walked around for a little bit while we waited. Once we finally got seated, though, our server took care of all 14 of us SO efficiently. He was absolutely running around doing his best! Getting everyone's drinks, taking all of our food orders, and making sure everyone was taken care of. The food came out pretty quickly considering the size of our group, and he was even able to split up all of our checks for us. Overall, the service was amazing. He was great! The vibes inside were really cool, too. We were seated in a corner area where we could see people coming in and out and watch everyone walking by outside the window. There was also another bachelorette group sitting near us, so it made the whole experience even more fun. And then there was my food... SO GOOD. I got the chicken sandwich, and it was HUGE. I honestly don't even think my picture does justice to how much food comes with it. Surprisingly, the fries were really good, too. But the chicken was what really impressed me. Sometimes when you order grilled chicken, it can be super dry, but this chicken was SO tender and juicy. There wasn't a single tough or dry spot. I was full after eating half of the sandwich, but I almost ate the entire thing because I genuinely could not stop eating it! I will absolutely be back here the next time I'm in Savannah!

I love that the menu encourages you to try duck in different ways than you may be used to. I don't typically like ordering grilled cheese out since I make a pretty good one myself at home, but the duck grilled cheese called to me. I'm glad I answered because it was delicious! It had the right combo of cheeses, and the caramelized onion gave it that little pizzazz it needed. It went great with the tomato soup. My sister's duck tacos were also very good. They do a great job of cooking the duck well, which I don't think is easy. The bellinis weren't groundbreaking, but they were very fun, since there's different flavors to choose from and they come garnished with a little rubber duck.

When we went to say hello to the bartender, the first thing we were told was that we needed to order soon because the kitchen closed at 11. Then our server greeted us by going through everything they were out of, which unfortunately felt like half the menu. Our group still ordered and made the best of it, but the way the experience started definitely took away from it. I completely understand that we arrived late and they were getting ready to close, but maybe instead of starting with "here's what we don't have," it could be presented as, "Since it's late and we're getting close to closing, let me tell you what we still have available." Same situation, but a much more welcoming experience. Overall, the service was okay and the atmosphere inside looked fun. I might give it another try at a different time, but I personally wouldn't choose the outdoor seating again.

The chicken was fried perfectly and still really moist. And at this point, I'm convinced Savannah just knows how to cook chicken. Everywhere we went, the chicken was consistently good. My partner got the grilled apple pie sandwich, which has fried chicken, grilled apples and bacon. He's not even a big pork person, but that bacon was so crispy and the whole combination just worked. Even the waffle fries were good--crispy, fresh and actually seasoned. We had the Grateful Dead and Wicked Kiwi cocktails, plus a couple of shots, and the drinks were strong, good and reasonably priced. Honestly, I don't have a ton of notes here. It's not trying to be some elevated dining experience. It's just a really good late-night spot with good food, strong drinks, friendly service and a fun atmosphere. We sat inside because Savannah in August was not about to have us sitting on anybody's patio. Definitely recommend, especially if you're looking for somewhere to eat late. Easy access to the elevator from the lobby to get to the rooftop. It's a smaller rooftop space and when we went on a Saturday evening (6:15pm, 3 people) it was self seating. They did a good job with the space for sure. Now for the actual experience....we sat ourselves as indicated and servers saw us choosing a table but it was about 15-20 min before anyone even approached our table and the server asked if we had been helped yet and when we said no, asked if we were ready to order. But we hadn't even been given a menu so we requested menus and waters as it was a warm day. She brought back one menu for the three of us and some lukewarm waters. Which fine it's water and we were thirsty. We ordered a round of drinks and four appetizer plates altogether. Drink wise we ordered a Harbor Rose, A Rosenbrook and a Peach of Mind. The Harbor Rose and Rosenbrook were excellent. The Peach of Mind was just okay. Food wise we ordered the Charcuterie Plate, Crispy Fries, Crispy Mozzarella and Whipped Goat Cheese Tartine. DO NOT ORDER THE CHARCUTERIE PLATE. For $26 we received a very sad looking plate of minimal cheese and bread. The picture is included. No preserves were included as the menu indicated, the bread was not toasted as indicated, no cornichons were included as indicated, it was definitely not a $26 plate at all. We asked our server about it when she came by to check and she sighed like she'd been hearing the same complaint multiple times. She did bring us some more cheese and bread to attempt to fix it but even then it was just dry cheese and bread. The crispy fries came out cold and not fresh like they'd been sitting out for a while and then under the heat lamp even though the cheese sauce was warm so I think they premade the fries and left them sitting out way too long to maintain freshness. We sent them back to the kitchen to be remade and when they came back the fries were fresh but the portion was smaller and the egg was cold so no real win there. The cheese and egg yolk did all the lifting flavor wise the fries didn't even seem salted. The crispy mozzarella wasn't terrible but again it had been sitting under the lamp ready to come out for too long so the cheese wasn't super melty anymore and was thick. It wasn't all the way cold and didn't taste terrible lukewarm so we didn't send it back, but if it had been at the proper temp it probably would have been fantastic as the breading was fresh and crispy and the sauce with it good and who doesn't love a giant mozzarella stick. The goat cheese Tartine was the standout of the starters, my only note would be that one huge piece of sourdough bread was hard to cut and share. Luckily being a cold dish we didn't have temp issues. The intent was to have a few rounds of drinks and food but after the first we decided to just continue our night elsewhere. When we ordered we clearly specified we were on separate checks and what belonged on each check. But when we asked for checks at the end of the night it was all on one. Not wanting to spend another 20 min waiting for it to be fixed we just asked her to split it evenly three ways on our cards and she acted like that was the biggest inconvenience ever. In summary, it's a beautiful space with good drinks and good bartenders but sadly lacking in good service and food delivery. Now they are new so they might still be figuring things out but there are definitely a few things to solve before I'd dine there again. I thought perhaps the kitchen was too far but no, there's a kitchen for the rooftop inside the space right across from the bar, so that wasn't it. If I were to return anytime soon, it would only be to sit at the bar and order a drink.

It was a perfect amount of food for 2 people and the salmon dish was the star - cooked perfectly medium rare and a generous portion. They also have an Award winning wine list and a good variety of spirits. I am sure many members of their staff are nice but we were lucky enough to have Michael who made our night even better. Super friendly, lots of jokes, great banter throughout our meal. Enjoyed every minute of our time there.

Keep a move on! We were offered a table overlooking the river and served by Will. My wife enjoyed her Amber Hour, and I an old fashioned. I suppose they don't want us getting tipsy and falling off, since my drink may have had 2 or 3 ounces. A good little taste, but not for long for this Wisconsin boy. Let's not go down the road of it being a "real" old fashioned -- I know and enjoy both kinds. (You must when you also own a distillery.) The two shining points of the evening were the view and our server. This spot offers a nice, close-up view of the river from both directions -- perfect for the occasional ships passing in the night. Our server, Will, was very professional, attentive, and thoughtful. By the end of the 50° night, Will had brought a blanket for my wife. While we can handle below-zero temps at home, there's something about 50° on vacation that gives us the shivers. Perhaps it was the dress -- I'm not sure, since I wasn't the one wearing it tonight. Anywho, finally a great experience was had at this well-done rooftop bar.

For example, after having Saint Bibiani's incredible burrata with salted peaches, Husk's pecan, cantaloupe, and goat cheese dish fell flat. Even their upscale take on hush puppies had an unusual flavor we couldn't quite place, and my daughter became ill shortly after eating them. The menu also felt limited for our tastes, with few fish options and very few dishes that appealed to us. I ended up not ordering an entrée at all, which has never happened to me, and was hungry enough to order room service back at the hotel. We do have West Coast palates, but we absolutely loved the creative Southern cuisine at Saint Bibiani, Common Thread, and even the poolside food at Hotel Bardo. Those restaurants struck the perfect balance of innovation and incredible flavor.
