*Edit: Before writing a review, please consider that PODS is a franchise business, meaning that your experience with the originating PODS supplier, the storage and transport, and the final delivery/takeaway is handled by several different companies, all operating under the PODS business model. I thought the value was exceptional (compared with renting a truck and driving myself). MIKE, the driver, was great at communicating pre-delivery and during the entire process. It had snowed the night before, so I was concerned that the company would refuse to deliver that day and might have to come back the next day because of all the snow and ice in my driveway, which is totally understandable because of the chaos that could happen if a giant truck and/or pod is slipping and sliding around. But Mike was very experienced and was able to put my pod exactly where I needed it. He gave me some great advice about packing and then was on his way. They are pretty easy to book, but when I found out the storage is temperature, but not climate controlled and I tried to cancel, it took over an hour on hold. The online service person disconnected from the chat over and over again. The phone service was misleading and kept hanging up. After 30 minutes on hold, the customer service person tried to convince me to not cancel and at that point I was super annoyed. Also, they were $200 more per month than a local, climate controlled storage service called Units Portable Storage in northeastern MA. read more

The PODS experience was almost exceptional. The drivers who dropped off the storage unit were great, and put it in a trickier position than they would have liked (which we had paid extra for). I did notice a roach scampering out of the pod when I was loading it, but everything I had was in closed garbage bags or sealed crates so that wasn't really an issue. (I did put the stuff coming back out in a holding area to make sure I'd cleared out the stink bugs and anything else that was along for the ride before moving it into the house). We stored stuff for six months during the renovation and when the POD was empty we put in for a pick-up. This is where it got dodgy... the first driver refused to pick up the pod and we rescheduled, and the second driver also refused to pick up the pod- I don't think he got out of the truck or even looked at the site. I had a long conversation with customer service and they were excellent, and proactively made sure we wouldn't be billed for beyond the original pickup date. Finally Etson showed up on try #3 and was able to navigate the tractor lift to get the unit up and loaded. I've tried to use PODS services three times without success. Why? Because their pricing strategy is very suspect. This has been my third move coast-to-coast and every time I engage with this company, they come in higher than their competitors. Hey I get it, they've been around the block and probably know what they are doing. But what I don't appreciate is the lack of transparency on their pricing structure. Here is an example. They had a 25% off promotional offer. After a high-pressure sales pitch to sign on the dotted line, I noticed their total distance mileage was way off on my estimate. When I questioned the mileage and asked them to change it, they said this was the way they did it (Like HUH? I was traveling from east coast to west, yet the greatest east-west distance in the lower 48 states is roughly 3,200 miles (4,500 km) (California to Maine). And yet, my PODS estimate was 5,800 miles folks!!! Keep in mind they make their money on distance, not on container costs. As you might expect, my estimate was sky high. Lesson learned? Check your mileage distance on your quote and challenge the mileage numbers. They cheat customers based on mileage, and they were not willing to reflect actual mileage numbers. So much for transparency. Bu-bye PODS. Equally sad, they have an automated BOT to respond to your yelp review. So much for personalization and making the situation right. read more

I provided my delivery address on Aug 18 and PODS didn't deliver until Sept 3 (16 days later). I was told the September charges would be removed because the delay was on their side, yet I was still billed $403.95 (9/5) and $134.25 "redelivery" (9/3) on top of mileage I'd already paid. I'd also previously been overcharged $882.18, which was only refunded after multiple follow-ups. The worst part has been customer service. I've spent hours upon hours across multiple chats and case numbers repeating the same facts. Some reps acknowledged adjustments; others insisted the fees were "valid." Requests to escalate to a manager were refused in chat and I was told to call instead. Their chat also doesn't offer a Save Transcript and often only shows "Today" as the timestamp, so I had to copy/paste conversations just to keep records. For the price of this service, it should be simple, transparent, and customer-focused. It wasn't. **I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING PODS** unless you have endless amounts of time to spend talking to their customer service. Despite assigning my case to a "senior resolution team," no meaningful action has been taken, and no one has resolved the issue. At this point, it's clear your team is more interested in appearing responsive than actually providing a solution. We were misled from the beginning. Your representatives gave us false assurances, and when those promises fell through, your only "solution" was to charge us an additional $1,300 or force us to rent a U-Haul and move everything ourselves -- after trusting your company with our cross-country relocation. As a 100% disabled veteran trying to manage this move with twins and a toddler, I expected at least basic professionalism, honesty, and empathy. If I were to write a review after my first call, I would have said five out of five, easily. What a lovely agent, so courteous and human, so willing to help understand my needs and get them met. She told me that they'd be able to arrange to have my pod dropped off in just a couple of days (amazing turnaround), get it picked up a day after that, and get it dropped off at my new place in another state about 8 days later. I had some last-minute logistics due to landing a job with just a few weeks to move across the states, so this was a miracle. Even if the price was a bit steep at more than 3 grand for an 8x8x7 cube that I'd be packing and unpacking myself, the timing was perfect so it was worth it to me. However, once my order was booked and my delivery was confirmed, the reality was starkly different from what was described. I couldn't order the pickup right away until the delivery window was sorted - fair enough, that makes sense. The delivery date also changed twice in 12 hours - again, no big deal, I was last-minute and they were rushing the delivery, so I get it. Once it settled, the delivery window said 1:45pm-4:45pm online, and (vexingly) their automated phone system said it was 3:15pm-6:15pm... and they showed up before 8am. Thankfully, others were on-site to help them out, as I was asleep. That's all annoying, but generally fine - but here's where it goes from frustrating to outright unacceptable: They are now telling me they can't pick the container up for nearly a MONTH, and it will be another *TEN* days before they can deliver it to my new address. To put this in perspective: as it was described to me on the phone when *booking the order*, my belongings would arrive just a couple days after I flew out to my new apartment; in REALITY, it's looking like it will be a full MONTH from when I move in, weeks into starting my new job, before I have my belongings... Unless I just cancel this order where it stands now and not pay them to transport it, which may be what I need to do at this point. I would obviously never have booked this order if I hadn't been outright lied to about the timeline. I have been just stress crying about this, praying they make it right, while I wait on their response to this "internal request" to push up the pickup and delivery dates, but holy heck, what a nightmare. It seems like all of their different facets of customer service and order support have very disjointed communication and a lack of holistic clarity with respect to what is possible for their customers. Or perhaps I was just hoodwinked into paying for a service that nobody thought would be possible - hard to know. I have truly no quarrel with any of the individual customer service agents with whom I've spoken; I just think the system as a whole must just be very disorganized. I booked my PODS delivery several days in advance and arranged my entire day around it. On the morning of delivery, they already changed my window from 2:30-5:30 to 3:00-6:00, which was annoying, but I stayed home all day waiting. Then, 30 minutes before the end of the window, I received an email saying my delivery was cancelled and rescheduled for Monday. That was it. No phone call. No explanation. Just an automated email after I had already wasted my entire day. I had to call them. The chatbot was useless and blamed "call-outs." When I finally got a real person, I was told the driver "ran out of time" and that someone would call me. No one ever did. I decided to cancel and go with another company. Only then did they say they would waive the cancellation fee because it was their fault. So they knew they messed up but still left me hanging all day. I took time off work for this. Before I decided to store my homes belonging with PODS, I chatted with their representative for at least 20 minutes, letting her know I would be settling in Vermont after my travels. The PODS representative assured me, "oh we will be able to deliver your container to Vermont". I have settled, and now they are telling me they cannot deliver my belongings to Vermont. Out of service area! Are you kidding me. I stored with PODS for 2 years! Now I have to find a way to get my belongings from their storage center in Massachusetts to Vermont. I require weight tickets to be reimbursed for my move and PODS has completely failed to give me certified weight tickets for my containers. This is a 10000+ dollar problem, I won't be reimbursed for the move if I don't have those documents. This is happening in Boston, Massachusetts, date is 5JUN2024. I scheduled a date to have it pi ked up and at 6:30 PM they called to say the truck broke down! We were selling our home and the POD was still in the driveway the day we closed! It was finally removed without any call to us and when I stopped later in tge day what was left behind was a pile of carpenter ants and saw dust! It was delivered to our final destination on time but again not picked up when they said it would be. I have spent over 8 hours calling about pickup issues and it's just not right. I needed to arrange transport for goods at my house in NJ to Boston. I called PODS. Apparently the call center is in some unknown country where speaking English is not a priority. Merely understanding the person on the other end was a gargantuan task. The POD delivery had to be AFTER the car in the driveway was removed, making room for the container. Every time you think they understood your needs, it was proven you were mistaken, so you began anew trying to communicate what you wanted. Finally I told them, if they couldn't schedule, delivery of the Pod after the scheduled time of the cars removal, then don't deliver it at all. To my surprise the car was removed and the pod delivered seamlessly. When filled, it was shipped and stored in Boston awaiting delivery to an appropriate space. Calling to retrieve the container was no better. Call center still inteligible, instructions for delivery not remotely understood, confirmations emails incorrect. Calling back for corrections, only exacerbated the confusion with the new non-English speaking agent directly contradicting what was explicitly confirmed by the last agent. It was a nightmare. The amount of time and energy trying to make this happen was totally excessive and unexceptable and at the end of the day I was never sure if the pod would ever be delivered at the requested time or day or if at all. i packed a food and a change of clothes, as I braced myself for all the catastrophe delivery day would bring. Arriving well in advance of the 7-10A arrival window, I had just poured my coffee, diging in for the long wait, when my phone rang. Mike the pod delivery driver, was calling to notify me he was on his way. I damn near fell over. The phone rang again a short time later saying the rush hour traffic may interfere with his arrival by 10 minutes or so ....was this guy really a driver? Not only could I understand him, but his courtesy in alerting me of his delay, is unheard of. When he arrived, his careful placement of pod aligning it to the door making the unloading easier, concern for the others in my complex navigating around the unit, concern for the pavement the pod will sit on. The condo association required both delivery and removal of the pod within the same day, something the bi-polar phone team couldn't determine if they were or were not able to achieve. At the risk of losing the precious little positivity accrued, I asked Mike about the pick up. A smile blossomed on his face, as he check his clipboard and reported he was the pick up driver, later in the day and even gave me a ballpark time, for his return. Finally a straight answer, have I died and gone to heaven? To make a very long story a bit shorter- Mike changed my 'never PODS again' to 'PODS not so bad ' - the phone bank is a serious negative that desperately needs to be replaced with KNOWLEDGEABLE English speaking representatives. this company is the worst. they are unreliable , very expensive, and unprofessional. They give you a 3 hour window and then change it twice the same day and then never show up. You call them and youre on hold for 30 minutes or more. There is no manager you can talk to. They hold up closings on houses or condos because of their not picking up pods and delivering them to new address. I waited 2 days for them to pick up and deliver my pod. This company is horrible, they were suppose to drop out POD off today then called saying that it couldn't be placed because we needed a permit to drop it in the street but were never told that or would have got a permit. We were originally assured that it would be able to be placed. We said we are willing to get the permit and have them drop later in the day but they said they con not until next Tuesday which is after our original pick up date of Monday (But can not drop Monday and Pick up Tuesday for some reason) This is a huge disruption to our move and would never recommend them to anyone. Pod was an inexpensive way for my son to move from his small apartment to a small apartment in a different state. I used pods to move from the southwest to the east coast. I had a three-bedroom house, a garage full of tools and possessions like wall art, books, family treasures. I needed two pods and some storage time for the pods prior to emptying them. The pods move cost a few thousand more than the mover charged when I moved from the east coast to the southwest ten years ago. If you are minimalist, pods is great. If you have a house full, pods will cost much more than a mover. read more

Had a nightmare using PODS for a cross-country move, Massachusetts to Idaho. The front end went great, they dropped off and picked up on schedule, but when time came for delivery the PODS just didn't show up. The first time they gave us a call to let us know about the delay, but the second time they just didn't show up, and we were left hanging until we called customer service to find out what went wrong. Customer service promised us a partial refund, but later the company clawed that back and started pursuing us for a delivery fee, which they didn't assess until weeks after the delivery, and which was never invoiced to us. We paid for top-of the line service and got cut-rate performance. Needless to say we are extremely dissatisfied and wish we could have our time and money back. read more

My Horror Story with PODS Pretty much every step of the way, PODS has screwed me over with little to no warning and forced me to clean up the mess they've made, leaving me without access to my own belongings. PICKUP DAY: They were schedule to come pick up my pod at 2pm on a Friday. As instructed, I bought moving permits from the city so that my pod could legally be there on Friday. 2pm becomes 5pm, 5pm becomes 8pm and they let me know that they're unable to pick up my pod on Friday anymore! Thus leaving my pod sitting there ILLEGALLY over the entire weekend. I was extremely lucky that the city didn't tow my pod. DROPOFF DAY: I scheduled my pod drop-off for 9/1 over a month in advance. When I called 10 days before to confirm my drop off, suddenly they are telling me they are completely booked and unavailable to drop it off until 9/11. WTF!! Ok so they say there's nothing they can do to change it, so they say I can come manually pick up my stuff with a U-Haul on 9/1. Not ideal (or what I paid them for), but whatever. I book my U-Haul and hire some movers. Then, the next day, they tell me I can't pick up my own belongings until 9/5. PODS is an absolute dumpster fire and I can't recommend using a different service enough. read more

This review is for the drivers I have had the pleasure of interacting with while in Massachusetts. I have 4, yes 4, different PODs, Frank and Tony were awesome to deal with. They were friendly and very professional. They are obviously very skilled with the Podsilla (this is what my kids call the device with wheels). They were both so nice and not bothered they had to come through a military gate for drop off. The call centers and customer service could take some lessons from these two. We are in the process of moving from the Orlando, FL area to the Boston, MA area. We decided to self move and chose PODS as our carrier. We got rid of a lot of stuff, having been in the same house nearly 20 years, but still needed 3 of the largest containers to transport things we needed. Everything made the trip with nothing broken. Do NOT use PODS. Used PODS to move from west coast to east coast. This initial move was wonderful, and the least expensive choice. The second leg of the journey (from rental home to final destination) was HORRENDOUS. I arranged the dates for pick-up and final drop-off over the phone, which took 1.5 hours to complete. 2nd pick-up, on time and a little too early (7:30a) but great. Final drop-off was where the problem came in. The day of the pre-arranged drop-off, nothing happened. I called PODS - and I am not kidding - three hours on the phone, most of the time on hold with Customer Service, and they DID NOT HELP ME. THEY ADMITTED "AGENT ERROR" but refused to do anything to help me get my PODS. I begged, I pleaded and it was a "too bad so sad" attitude. Despite THEIR ERROR, they delivered my PODS to (2) weeks AFTER they were supposed to. ON that final delivery, they were late again by about 1.5 hours. When the driver called to let me know he was running behind, he asked me if I really wanted the PODS that day or if I wanted to reschedule (it was going to be an "after hours delivery"). From where the PODS was stored during this two weeks to the final destination was less than 15 miles and yet...they could not help me with their error. I WILL NEVER USE PODS AGAIN NOR RECOMMEND THEM. THEY ARE AWFUL. Follow up: After posting this comment, PODS contacted me (see response). They had plenty of opportunity to assist me in real time when they held my stuff basically hostage due to their error. I literally was on the phone with them for a week trying to convince them to correct their admitted error and get my stuff. THEY DID NOT WANT TO HELP ME. The response received is too little too late. They need to assist in real time when the problem is occurring, not AFTER when they receive a YELP review for their abysmal service. read more

First off a disclaimer. Even though the individual Pods storage facilities are franchise owned, this review is not a reflection on them. However, The customer service of this company is horrible. Me and my wife are in the process of moving from Rhode Island to Jacksonville Florida. We decided to use PODS as I was reviewing other options and PODS seemed like a good choice for the price and value. First off, it is next to impossible to get someone on the phone who clearly understands the English language and this creates a huge language barrier which makes effectively communicating important details next to impossible. all calls get routed to the Philippians. We scheduled a POD to be delivered and the first person said that we needed to pay for the POD to be dropped off on the day before which was fine. And we told them that we will be moving the pod from the house down to Florida. and We were told that we pay for the pod to be moved on the day before it gets taken away. This was fine because we needed to wait for the proceeds from the sale to clear before we can pay for the moving cost. Now here we are 2 days before closing and my wife gets a call from Pods from someone overseas that was very difficult to understand because of the language barrier to confirm the pod delivery and pickup dates. My wife was told that They need the balance paid 7 days before the pod gets moved. Meanwhile we were going by the initial information from the first customer service person we talked to and telling our buyers agent that the pod will be picked up on Monday the 14th. My wife spent almost an hour doing battle with a customer service rep because of this language barrier. Finally my wife was able to convince this customer service representative to transfer her to a supervisor but even then my wife had to get to a point of yelling at this customer service rep because she would not transfer my wife to a supervisor. Finally the supervisor was able to help my wife but the fact that my wife had to get to the point of getting extremely upset before this incompetent service representative would transfer this call in completely unnecessary. Unless you want to deal with having a very important logistic operation such as moving your entire household belongings across country by someone who is located overseas and can only read their communications dialog from a script that is in front of them, than stay away from this company. read more

I packed my first and only pod container just about eight years ago. I was preparing to downsize from my 3000-square-foot home and wanted to move into storage several items before the final move. Pods quoted me $168 for a 16-foot container and promised the first delivery after storage would be free. The container was well-used. That did not matter because I was promised the warehouses would be pest-free and have climate control. My container was initially stored in the PODS Norwood, Massachusetts facility. On two occasions, when I attempted access to the container, PODS could not locate it. I also found out that the facility was not climate-controlled After moving to Nashua, New Hampshire, I asked that the PODS container be moved closer to me. It was moved to their storage facility and warehouse in Nashua. This warehouse was very rundown, poorly lit, dirty, and rodent-infested. It was not climate-controlled either. You could sense the dampness found both within the warehouse as well as within my container. The items in my container were expertly tied down so as not to shift. When I accessed the container, things were thrown about. It must have taken a beating in transit. Throughout this time, PODS kept increasing its monthly price. They blamed it on cost, COVID, inflation, etc. They had raised it to over $200 a month. They would send you an email saying that they had to raise their prices due to cost. When I finally finished with pods, I paid nearly $270 monthly for that same 16-foot container. This was a complete ripoff. PODS moved my container from their dilapidated Nashua warehouse to a more modern facility 30 miles north in Manchester, New Hampshire. They never told me. When I went to the old acility, it was closed and nearly impossible to find anybody who knew where the containers at that facility were moved to. The first address I was given for his new facility was not a facility but a staging area for PODS containers in Merrimack, New Hampshire. Fortunately, the driver who was leaving this area was able to direct me to the Manchester facility. The customer service at PODS is almost nonexistent. All the phone numbers they give you are for sales. The facilities are not climate-controlled. With the exception of the Manchester, New Hampshire facility and Staff, my experience was terrible, and I would counsel anyone to look elsewhere for their storage needs. read more

I had to move a relitive from Florida to Rhode Island. Pods staff helped me all the way with personal calls, text emails and a website that i could go on and check or change anything. Everything got here to RI unbroken. I would definitely use them again.well worth the money and no one goes through your belongings in the container. You put your own lock on it. read more

If I could give negative stars I would! I should have googled first! This company is the worst company to deal with! Moving from NH to Florida Customer service is non-existent. You can never get to anyone with any kind of authority. My story is on-going at this writing. I had my pods delivered to my home in NH to be packed in May - per the advice of the rep on the phone an 8ft container was enough for my 1 bedroom apt. Well, this was not the case and I had to order a second box at my expense. Their recommendations were way off - tatic to make money Im sure. I ordered the second box and it was filled by PODS recommended movers in the Salem, NH area. PODS picked up the containers and stored them at the warehouse in Manchester NH. I was in the process of finding a home and moving to Florida. Then on July 13, 2024, I called PODS to let them know the full address of where the boxes need to be shipped to in Florida. I purchased a home in Port Orange and was told at that time by "Bradley" they do not service this area!! Mind you it's 15 mins outside of Daytona about an hour from Orlando. 2 of their offices - per their website!! What I later learned what he meant is that Manchester NH does not service Port Orange Florida. NO KIDDING! I needed these PODS in Daytona or very least Orlando. I made repeated calls but was never given any answers. But when I called again on July 20, 2024, at this time the boxes were enroute to Port St Lucie and nothing could be done supposedly to get them to a closer PODS location - the CORRECT location. I do not know how or why but the boxes were shipped to the incorrect area but on July 29, 2024 they arrived in Port St. Lucie 2 1/2 hours away!! I only found out when I called to check on the status of the PODS. I called many times trying to resolve this issue only to be met with reps that can do absolutely nothing for me. I asked to speak to someone with authority and they told me they cannot put me through to anyone. Probably because of the amount of bad service they have - managers or whomever no longer wants to hear the complaints. I had spoken to one CSR - Chrissy - that supposedly scheduled my PODS to be re-delivered to Port Orange from Port St. Lucie on August 7th, my flight is Aug 6th so that worked out... or so I thought. Once again, I was all set until I called to confirm the delivery only to learn that she never put the order in and it was going to be 2 weeks before they could schedule to re-deliver to Port Orange at an expense of $1900. I am only in Florida for a week so this doesn't work for me and why at my expense for their mistake!!! I called once again to try to get SOMEONE other than a CSR that wasn't in another country, someone that could actually do something. While on the phone with yet another CSR, a person from the warehouse in Port St Lucie called me directly trying to figure out what the problem was. He has been the most helpful but his hands are tied. He can get the boxes shipped up to Daytona but "LOGISTICS" ignores his repeated emails. We worked for 5 days to try to get this resolved. So, I am back to square one. PODS is holding my boxes hostage. This company is so very unprofessional they are literally thieves. It was their mistake to send them to Port St. Lucie, their statement of "we don't service that area" is a lie. They most certainly do. The agents are not familiar with the business or their offices. This is going to cost way more than it should have. I will ALWAYS tell people of my experience. I will spread it all over the web in every review I can find. My entire belongings are 2 1/2 hrs away due to the company's ignorance. I have a flight down to Florida to move my stuff in... Only PODS is holding my stuff 2 1/2 hrs away. I have one week to get this straightened out. before I come back to NH for the rest of the summer. THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY IN ALL AREAS. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY - I'd hire anyone else but these idiots Conclusion to this story... I had to hire a moving company that I HIGHLY recommend -College Hunks Hauling and Moving to go to my PODS in Port St. Lucie and retrieve my belongings. They took pictures of damage incurred while in PODS possession that was caused due to their recommended moving company in NH, packing incorrectly and I now have holes in my sofa. I will be filing a claim on this. I have pictures of when it was packed in NH and when PODS was first opened at Port St Lucie PODS warehouse. I now have my stuff... of course this was an extra expense, but at least I have it. Will be seeking advice from my attorney. read more

I am only leaving a 1 star rating because it's not possible to leave a lower rating. On 11/7 I scheduled for a POD to be delivered on 11/9. I was given a delivery window of 7:00am to 10:00am. I was at the address at 7:00am. I had scheduled 2 of my workers to arrive at 10:00am to load the POD. At 10:40 I called customer service to get an update on the delivery. I was put on hold while they contacted the local franchise in Chesapeake, Va. I was told that no one answered the phone but that had left a message and that I should hear back in 30 minutes to an hour. I called again at 11:10, 11:40 and 12:10. Went through the same scenario each time, put on hold, rep comes back to me and says that no one answered but they left a message and that I should hear back in 30 minutes to an hour. At 12:30 I called and cancelled the order. None of the customer service reps could give me any reason why I did not get a delivery or why no one was answering the phone or responding to the voice mails that they left. I asked if there was any way for me to speak to a supervisor about the situation and I was told that there was not anyone that I could speak to. So not only am I behind on my project but I have paid 2 workers to show up and wait around on the promise that the container would show up... I would strongly discourage anyone from relying on PODS to do what they say they are going to do! Tried to get a quote on move from Massachusetts to Florida. Gave them the zip codes he then asked for exact addresses and rambled on about all these services. I said I want a quote for a small pod to these exact zip codes or I'm going to hang up. He kept rambling on that he needs yadda yadda to get exact quote. Bye! No time for your nonsense. read more

What an absolute debacle it is to work with this company. They rescheduled my POD pickup time, pushing it back by 3 days without so much as a phone call, email, or any notification at all. The customer service is a non-existent joke, and the only reply they can give when you do get someone on the phone is that they "can't make any promises..." and then they aren't able to take any action whatsoever to fix the problem. The customer service reps are patronizing. The customer's needs are placed dead-last on their priority list and I will NEVER use this horrible company again. read more

HORRIBLE experience with the PODS company. First I couldn't schedule a time online to have my possessions delivered. When I called customer service (many times) none of them could schedule it, help me troubleshoot, or see anything that I couldn't see for myself online. They had no insight or proposed solutions. A winter storm was coming to New England and the prediction changed hourly all week from rain to snow to nothing. I spoke to many representatives and they were unable to give me insight, tell me their delivery limitations for weather, or even connect me with the local facility. Then they canceled the day before, costing me double in city fees. Weather was slush, not a blizzard. In getting a city permit, city hall informed me that I had to pay extra (double) for a 3rd party permit puller, even though I was there in person ready to get it myself. PODS customer service was fully unaware of this restriction even though it was imposed by PODS.  I filed a complaint because of these as well as other lesser annoyances and again, service has been abysmal. I was given a dispute number on March 3rd, 2023 and told it would be 7-10 business days until I was told the process to obtain a refund. Not a word since then (it's now mid-April), again despite multiple phone calls and emails asking for updates. Once again, representatives can apparently do nothing to help.  When my PODS container was first picked up in June 2022, I had a similar experience in that I was not told crucial information until the delivery man was at my house. It was incredibly stressful and could have been avoided. Once again, bad service, as I had spoken to representatives on the phone before then and they could have informed me with notice.  As far as I can tell, employees don't know their own product, service, limitations, or how to troubleshoot or respond. There seems to be no process for when systems fail. What do we pay hundreds of dollars for? I would strongly suggest looking at other options. read more

We had 2 containers,16 footer, we stored for 4 years . We paid a monthly fee of over $500. THEN, when we scheduled delivery, they charged an extra $162 per POD. There are more reasonable places. let ok around. these guys are thieves. read more

I'm not a good enough writer to express how poorly the service has been from PODS, they are currently over three hours late, that's three hours after the end of the three hour window they gave for the delivery. I've spent over two hours on the phone just trying to find out where my POD is, I've been hung up on twice, using hold as disguise for hold on I'm about to hang up on you, but not to your face. This company delivers PODS, it's there name how can you not have people in customer service that can tell me where my POD is... Now I have no idea where, or when, if ever the POD will be delivered and I have movers bringing an apartment worth of stuff to a house that is being renovated. I guess I'll just store my stuff in the driveway for the next three weeks, or so...but seriously what am I supposed to do? And because they kept telling me it's still coming, it's coming, up until about an hour ago, I didn't have time to create a viable plan B. So still no idea what I'm going to do, other than never use this company again. read more
