Yummy! Fresh fish. Great service. I wish the cucumbers were fresh (they're marinated) but everything else tastes great.

With the ever growing popularity of poke bowl spots this place is pretty solid. I came in on a busy lunch hour but the line went smoothly. There were about 3 workers which still had time to say welcome for every person that came in... nice very aloha. I ordered a regular with salad and scoops of tuna, albacore and salmon. Got every topping except pineapples..eehh. Put some ponzu and sesame oil drizzled with some wasabi mayo. Good stuff. Added some masago and nori strips and I'm done. The tray or dish in comes in is pretty big. Good fresh food and excellent service this place stands out for me. read more

Decided to try this place (even though my tried and true, never let me down place is Poke Craft). Never again. I just paid $9 for a salad with rice. I got about 6-8 pieces of poke in my bowl? Barely. Can't call it a Poke Bowl if it doesn't have any Poke in it. I even asked the girl, "that's it? That's all the tuna/ahi/albacore you're putting in the bowl?" She answered, "ya." Another reviewer compared this to Chipotle, and I have to agree. Except Chipotle isn't skimpy on their protein. read more

Food is amazing! I usually don't like Poki but this place has changed my thoughts about it. I will definitely will be coming here more for lunch. Also the food is low in calorie and healthy so i don't feel guilty after eating the food here. Definitely come check it out! read more

This place is fire!!!! Really good Poke at a fair price. Lots and lots of toppings and sauces. I love that you can mix it up and get 5 different kinds of fish in the large serving. I chose 3 parts house tuna , one part yellow tail and one part spicy tuna. If you're in the area definitely check this place out. There are many good restaurants in the area but this is definitely up top. Service is on point and the guys who work there are polite and helpful. Nothing negative to report on but I typically only see the good in situations :). The spices/hot sauces are the perfect kick and I have a high spice tolerance. Will be back if I'm ever in Brea! I was introduced to poke for the first time by one of my friends that kept telling me how good this place is. As we walked in I couldn't help to notice that it was very clean and the workers were beyond friendly. I had one of their bowls with 1/2 rice and 1/2 salad avocado, cucumber, cilantro and jalapeños. I asked for the cooked shrimp with the ponzu, sesame oil and loco sauce. I was surprised how fresh the shrimp and all the toppings were and especially how good it was. I mean wow!! I have been here countless times and have loved, love, loved my visit each time. The food is great, but ever since they hired a new worker, my past two experiences have been horrible. The first experience I had with this worker (korean female, I believe her name was Adela), she muttered something unbelievably racist under her breath. I cannot begin to explain how shocked I was that this would happen in this day and age. I understood that she was new and that perhaps this was her first job so she did not know that it is ABSOLUTELY NOT OK to make such ignorant comments in the workplace, and gave this place another go. Unfortunately, during my next trip I saw her again and this time, not only did she continue to whisper under her breath comments about my friend (and my) appearance and our food choices, but she gave unbelievably small portions. She is not only rude but is also lacking in her execution of her job at this previously wonderful establishment. Poki Ave, you have lost two devoted customers. I hope we can return soon, but we absolutely cannot support a place that hires racist, rude workers. read more

Awesome service, awesome food, nice subtle ambiance. Everyone here is informative. Unlike most poke joints, there is a variety of toppings which include: seaweed salad, avocado, crab meat AND spicy crab meat, pineapples, tomatoes, edamame, jalapeños, and the list goes on. As for seafood choices they have everything from salmon, spicy salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, yellowtail, shrimp, octopus, and albacore. The sauces are amazing! I personally love the loco. They have sauces that are suitable for all taste buds from extremely spicy to not spicy at all. They have many different condiments to match every different palette! I was a reluctant Poke eater before trying this place out. I am a true believer now! Poke Ave has great quality sushi with everything you could ever want as a topping. But most of all their service is amazing. I didn't really know what to order, or how to order, for that matter. The owner was extremely helpful in making choices based on the information I gave her about my taste preferences. The result...... I am addicted!!!!! We've been trying to find a good sushi restaurant around the area for many months and have yet to find anything worthy but came across Poki Ave and this has replaced our desire to for the sushi. This place was wonderful. Service was great. The menu items were full of fresh ingredients and tasted great. So many things to choose from and the various seasonings offered you option, whether you prefer spicy or not. A regular size is filling and I'm sure could be shared if you aren't very hungry, or else get the large and share it between two. They gave us complimentary green tea ice-cream, which made for a perfect conclusion to the perfect meal. Definitely looking forward to returning to Poki Ave very soon. read more

Been here a few times and the place is good. The inside is clean and the employees always seem friendly enough. The food taste is average for a Poke place, ingredients seem pretty fresh. The main downfall of this place is that the portions are small compared to other Poke places in the area. It seems you get more bang for your buck elsewhere, but if I'm close by and craving poke, I'll definitely stop by again. read more

It was my first time trying poke bowl, my friend recommended me to come here because he had a great experience during their soft opening. They have variety of rice, fish and sauces to choose from, my favorite was the spicy crab meat. It goes well with the loca sauce(spiciest). Overall, it was a great experience. read more

This place just opened a few weeks ago... Part of the "poke fever" that is spreading throughout SoCal. My friend, who enjoys poke places, suggested we check this one out. Located in a very modest strip mall on Imperial, Poke Ave was really good... Exceeded my expectations. Fish was very fresh - and the sauces were tasty. Wasabi mayo was especially good. Had brown rice and salad, topped with nice variety of fish and add-ons. Used our Yelp check-in, and got a free beverage. One more thing I liked... They didn't over-sauce the fish. The owner, Patrick, is extremely nice... While lots of folks seemed to come for take-out, we sat in the small, simple, clean store. Bottom line - If you live or work in the Brea area, support a nice small business owner - and enjoy his tasty poke. read more

My boyfriend and I come here, not even joking, once a week. You just can't beat this place it's like a chipotle-style (build your own) poke. The only thing that's a little disheartening is the price, SOOOO expensive and they really don't give you anything with the tiny scoopers. I guess my one thing is just get bigger scoopers or just push the price down a bit!! However, since we frequent so much were stamp card aficionados, I recommend this place to everyone I know who loves sushi/sashimi. The workers are always so nice and friendly ready to greet you with a smile. I always try to tip them when I pay with cash they're just so friendly.
