Another poke restaurant and my least favorite one so far. Opted for the large bowl (5 scoop protein), with a base of half brown rice and spring mix. For my protein, I went with langostino, shrimp, tuna, salmon and shoyu tuna. Spicy mayo for the sauce, and toppings of crab Salad, fried onion, edamame, ginger, cucumber and seaweed. Price is just like any other poke restaurant. I felt like I barely had any proteins but more so heavily on brown rice. Not too many tables to eat inside but there are a few outside. Besides the food, the service here wasn't that great either. read more

I would say that I'm an avid Poke go-er and I love trying any new Poke shop that opens up--especially if they're right across from where I work. Atmosphere - Inside, their space is very small and tables are limited. Given that they're right across from corporate offices, you'd expect that they are extremely packed and busy during lunch. And that's exactly how it is throughout the week. From the hours of 11a.m.-12p.m. expect long wait times and limited amount of space to enjoy your food. Other than that, the space is great! Very clean and open with big windows for that natural sunlight to shine through. Food - Of course I got a Poke bowl with all of the toppings. The one thing that I love about this place as compared to all other others, THE SPICY MANGO SAUCE!!!! Soooooo good! It honestly just adds another layer of flavor and spice to their poke bowls AND this place, to my knowledge, is the only place to offer mangoes as a topping for a poke bowl. Honestly, great flavors, great protein and toppings, there is no way to go wrong here. Service - I've been here a couple times now and I must say their service is a tad bit slow at times. I understand there are people who wants to taste all the proteins and sauces and stuff but they usually have 1 person making your bowl... which means you have to wait for another person to finish with a customer before they can start on your bowl. Food: I ordered the Small Bowl, salmon, tuna, and shrimp w/ brown rice. I got the garlic ponzu, and asked for majority of their toppings. The tuna and salmon were pretty good, and I liked the sauce it came in. The portion was nice, but I wish they had a bigger selection for their toppings. It felt smaller than other Poke restaurants I've been to. The total for a small came out to $12.43 as well, which is about $1 or $2 more expensive than other locations. For the close proximity, I am okay with that increase. Service: The employee was nice, and provided me with good portions. No complaints. Location: Since it's so close to my work, I probably will continue to come here. There is no outside seating, and it's a tiny store, so there's about 6-7 tables max there from what I remember. I took mine to-go, but if you want to dine-in, I suggest going there before the lunch/dinner rush. There's plenty of parking outside, I found mine right in front of the store. It's located in a strip mall, so you should have no problem finding any parking. Overall, I would come here again if I'm ever craving Poke. It was good. read more

Also a good Variety of toppings that pair well with the proteins. I missed them over the last couple months. They were closed during the pandemic. Good news they are back open. That is until I found Poke Cube! Super convenient for me because I work in the area, but I am super impressed by their selections and their portion sizes! They have your typical fresh tuna and salmon but also offer great shrimp varieties, and even langostino (baby lobsters?)!!!! The food and sauces never disappoint and for the most part, service is quick! (Be careful during lunch hours, because it can get pretty busy!) BUT eat there, and you'll see why! A great poke spot just a stone's throw away from home, the friendly staff here took care of us in no time. Poke bowls are available in regular (3 scoops) and large (5 scoops) with a solid variety of sashimi including maguro, sake, spicy tuna, and some shellfish. Freshness was definitely there and the bowls can be adorned with all the usual toppings. Came here earlier this week with some coworkers since we wanted something cool and refreshing for lunch, and figured poke would be a good option. Two of the colleagues had apparently come here the week prior and vouched for this spot, so I figured it was a safe bet. Inside is very clean, well lit, with plenty of available tables. Though there was a line of people for the to-go lunch crowd. Service here is pretty attentive and friendly, and they're fairly efficient about moving you through the line. You start with your options of a big (5 scoops) or small (3 scoops) bowl, your base (white/brown rice, various salads, or mix), your proteins (salmon, tuna, shrimp, tofu, and spicy varieties of each), your choice of onions, your sauce (I got the sesame oil which was really good), and finally your choice of toppings (crab salad, masago, jalapeno, edamame, etc..). Price for a small bowl came out to be $12.94 after tax, which is pretty reasonable. However I typically work in downtown SF so my price comparison may be a bit....off. I can see why people complain about the serving size being small, however I felt it was just enough food on a hot summer day. One thing I noticed here on Yelp is that apparently a lot of people are getting free drinks with their bowl orders. I don't know if this was a limited time promo, but no one in our group got a soda with our orders. Overall, food was pretty good and I certainly won't mind stopping by here again. This was only the second time I have eaten Poke but I liken in to deconstructed sushi and that was my approach to ordering. I must say that this was way better than the other poke I had somewhere else and the online ordering was very convienent to use on a busy workday. A regular gives you 3 good size scoops of protein and this is good cause its so hard to choose. The shrimps were marinated and cooked to perfection. I had tuna and salmon spicy and they both had excellent flavor and the right amount of spice. Yummy!! I am sure I will be returning many times to try new flavor combos. read more

The venue is easy to find and looks very clean. The positives are that the fish is fresh and with the toppings the meal was very filling but still healthy. The prices are reasonable too. The negative is that it just wasn't flavorful. I tried the garlic ponzu and mango blend as well as garlic ponzu and shout blend but honestly could not taste it much at all. My husband who normally likes tons of sauce had to add his own soy sauce. May come back to try it again in the future since I understand it depends on who is making the food. read more

I've been waiting for this place to open and was very excited to check it out today for their soft opening. Considering it's their first day, not bad for an eatery in Rancho. I thought it was reasonably priced, but the portion seemed a bit smaller than other places I've been to. The garlic shrimp was pretty good. I wasn't too impressed with the shoyu tuna. I appreciate that the toppings were unlimited. Aesthetically, the bowl wasn't as pretty to look at haha.. but it was good. I would suggest adding a recycling bin for the soda cans and plastic bowls. Perhaps also moving the sauce options to the end of the process so it does not get forgotten. As not everyone in my party got sauce on their bowls. I look forward to trying Poke Cube again and hopefully give it a higher rating. read more

Much better than I thought. I wanted to try this new place but was a little worried because I've never seen anyone there when I go by. Finally decided to try it. My first impressions weren't that great. The guy kept filling the scoop with as little as possible and scraping it against the side to make sure it wasn't full. I get that they want to control food costs but to be so blatant just seemed tacky and cheap. All of the protein options were available in regular and spicy versions. I'm not usually one for spice but went with all spicy tonight. I just got a plain ponzu sauce and had it served over spring mix. Everything was so good. It wasn't enough to fill me up but was pretty tasty. I'm not going to go out of my way to return but I wouldn't not go if a friend wanted it. Other poke bars seem more of a value and I'll hit those up first. I still think Hoke Poke is still the best in the Sac area. read more

Always friendly staff and flavorful high quality fish make me feel comfortable getting out of my comfort zone for sushi quality fish. Four stars on the food quality, but my experience tonight was an overall three stars. Understaffed; poor dude working the front was packed with customers within the 25 minutes of me dining in. My wife had to wait almost 15 minutes to pay for her mochi's because he was the only worker covering the food line. Food was great, but the Shoyu sauce was on the salty side. I came in yesterday and saw a sign that they were increasing their prices even more (4 scoops for $17) which I guess I was okay with. But when I came home and saw the bowl, I was disappointed. They used to toss the poke in your choice of dressing but now they just drizzle it over the top....maybe to save product? And you are definitely not getting your money's worth. Poke in Rancho Cordova? YES! I always end up going to Elk Grove to get a good bowl of poke, but now that this is here I won't have to drive so far to enjoy a good bowl of poke. I got the small bowl with two scoops of salmon and one scoop of tuna on top of half spring mix and brown rice. The great thing about this place is the big selection of sauces. I didn't know what to pick, so the cashier let me sample a few. I ended up choosing the garlic ponzu and garlic miso sauce (YUM!) The cashier even asked me if I wanted the sauce drizzled over my rice! What I love about this place is that the portions are huge compared to other poke places I have been to. They aren't skimpy of the portions they give you and the food actually tastes good. They also have so many different toppings like: mango, pineapple, fried onions, fried garlic, furikake, two types of daikon, ginger, etc. They do have a rewards program, so take advantage of that if you want to earn points towards a free bowl! Not only did they increase their prices AGAIN (2x in 8 months), but they've gone to only using forms to order so you can't watch them as they make your bowl. My bowl now costs over $20.00 but the value is GARBAGE. I get home and my bowl has toppings I didn't ask for and can't eat (cucumber) AND they skimped out on EVERYTHING. Tried Poke Cube recently for lunch and very much enjoyed it. I chose white rice as my base and my 3 proteins were: salmon, tuna and garlic shrimp. I don't recall the sauce I picked but my toppings included: edamame, seaweed and crab salad. I won't pick the garlic shrimp next time...there was nothing wrong/it was fresh just a bit too strong for my liking. As others have said, I found the price reasonable for the portions you get. I've been anxiously awaiting the opening of the only poke spot in the Cho! Inside is bright and fresh and the place seems to be running smoothly even though it's their soft opening! I like that they have some pre-mixed proteins like the shoyu tuna, spicy tuna, and spicy salmon - the flavors tend to shine more amongst the many ingredients in the bowl! The bright yellow pickled radish is new to me and adds an interesting twist. Next time I'll try some daikon salad as a base to keep it lighter. Flavor is great and overall I couldn't be happier that Poke Cube decided to start their shop in Rancho Cordova! We both tried kale and brown rice base (admittedly they were out of white rice at that hour but we were trying to be healthier anyhow so it wasn't a loss) and our crazy mix of fish and toppings. I enjoy their participation with the clover app, I got a decent percentage off my order this last visit. Great service, big portions, can't believe there is a great poke place very close to my house! It's located in the Zinfandel Mall along with many other restaurants. Interior is very clean, since it's a new place. I got the small bowl ($11.95) with spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and spicy octopus on top of kale and daikon salad. Got the mango fire and ponzu for the sauce, and basically put all the toppings on my poke. Love how this place has many topping options including pinneaple, mango, fukuginzuke, furikake, onions, edamame, and more~ The portion is huge! The lady who was helping me piled so much~ I was only able to finish 1/3 of the fish despite the base being kale salad and daikon. Fish was pretty fresh, nice spicy kick to it. I've loved this place since they've opened. I've been here literally about 30 times since opening, and the poke is always fresh, delicious, and consistent. Poke Cube is always going to be a local spot I'll always support. They closed temporarily last year due to COVID-19 which was heartbreaking, and being a small, local business, I can't imagine how difficult it was to get back up and running, or even if they thought they could come back, but they did it, and they are doing wonderful.
