By far - my favorite poke in the OC. Everything is always so fresh and they're always so friendly. Every time I've visited, the consistency is always there. I usually get the smallest size (2 proteins) and tbh, it's a great amount of food. I wished there was a size in between, I usually can't finish it. They pack the box, always! My go to is always one of their seasonal salmon/tuna. Parking can be annoying on the weekdays during lunch. Theres indoor and outdoor seating.

Poke Dot is good. However, they have raised their prices a lot over the past 3 to 4 years. It's overpriced IMO (hence the 3 stars) but it's really the only poke place nearby if you work in the area so this is your only option. There are similar places in Irvine that give the same amount of food but for less price. The sauces are bland compared to previous years when I would come here once a week or so. Customer service has been efficient. Always busy though of course during the lunch rush during the week. Ample parking. Clean restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Overall - if you're craving poke and in the area - this place is good but it's just overpriced.

I've been on a bit of a poke kick lately, and since I didn't feel like heading out, I decided to get Poke Dot delivered. I'm always a little nervous about raw fish traveling, but this was absolutely delicious and arrived perfectly fresh! * Freshness: The fish quality was top-tier. Even with the delivery time, the tuna and salmon were firm and chilled, which is exactly what you want. * The Mix-ins: I love how they distribute the sauce--it wasn't soggy at all. Every bite had a great balance of flavor without drowning out the taste of the fish. * Portion Size: They were quite generous with the scoops and the toppings, making it a very filling and satisfying meal. The delivery was quick and the packaging was sturdy, so nothing leaked or got squished. It's definitely my new go-to when I want a healthy, high-quality meal but want to stay in. Whether you're dining in or ordering at home, Poke Dot is incredibly consistent. Definitely one of the better poke spots in the area for quality and portion size!

One of the best poke spots I've been to! The portions are huge, the ingredients are fresh, and everything tastes amazing. The restaurant is very clean, and the staff are super nice and friendly. Great food, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

Poke Dot is the most generously portioned poke shop in Irvine that I've found. Their regular bowl ($17.45) gives you three scoops of protein, with nice big chunks of fish. I like that crab meat, avocado and seaweed salad are available at no extra charge. It was so big that I think I could probably just get a small bowl next time. I had placed my order online and for pick up during the busy lunch hour (where the line was to the door). I had ordered two bowls and unfortunately the bases for them got mixed up, so I got my husband's white rice and he got my salad and brown rice. Oops. I might have given Poke Dot a higher rating, if not for this. If you come during weekday lunch, you may want to order online. Or maybe it's safer to just get in line and make sure your bowl is made the way you want.

Stumbled upon this place on my way to a tutoring class and it was pretty convenient for us. It was literally 2 minutes from the tutoring place and we could not be happier. We went in at 4:30pm and obviously it was not a busy time. The place was well-maintained, clean, and had plenty of seating areas. We ended up having a large bowl with a white rice as a base, and 5 scoops of delicious proteins (1 spicy tuna, 2 salmon, and 2 shrimp). For the sauce, we tried spicy mayo which was perfect (just the right amount of heat), and the toppings we picked our usual likings (green onion, seaweed salad, furikake, and masago). Honestly, we didn't expect to eat this much food before our dinner time, so we only managed to eat half and took the rest home for later.

Food: 3 Protein Poke Bowl (Half Brown Rice and Chips) Price: $17.45 Overall: My friend recommended this place to me. We came on July 4th and they weren't close until 4pm! Upon arriving, I like that they have a variety of fish options. Also, the portions are very big; each scoop of fish was generous! I got the regular, and they stacked up on the fish and sides. The avocado here was also free (IN THIS ECONOMY? SAY LESS). Not an authentic hawaiian spot but this is a solid casual poke with a great amount of indoor and outdoor seating!

It comes with five scoops of protein and several options of toppings to choose from. Everything was fresh and delicious. If you're a salmon lover, definitely get a few scoops of it! THE DRINK. - Pink Lemonade | Sweet and tangy. Get it. THE RETURN? Yeah, I'd come back. I really like the portion sizes and the food quality is everything.

The rice was hard..that is enough for a one star. You can get better quality at Coscto. That's pretty sad but I need to share so you may find a place you would enjoy your meal. I came here to pick up a quick lunch by the office. Parking here is a little challenging during lunch. Inside is pretty loud and line is pretty long during peak hours. I got the M size which comes with 3 scoops of protein. My order came to around $18 which I think is pretty standard now for poke spots. The best selling point here is that they offer avocado at no extra charge! Service is really quick - the server was ready before I was lol. I think they're pretty heavy handed with the sauces and mine was a little too sweet. I'll probably mix sweet and spicy next time around to see if that helps. Will be back when i get the craving! read more

Grabbed a poke bowl from here for lunch. Typical sushi-style poke spot, walk down the line, pick your base, fish, sauce and mix-ins, a'la Subway style, and walk out with a customized poke bowl. Everything was fresh, there just wasn't anything to distinguish it from the many, many, many other similar spots that do poke like this. read more

I mean, I found several bones in my salmon. I think that's enough said. It makes me really sad, since this used to be one of my favorite poke places. But over the years, their QC has dropped significantly. The rice was probably my favorite part of the bowl I ordered today at noon, and even then, there was some burnt rice. Not worth the ~$19 I paid. There are better poke places in Irvine. Also, I asked for a regular bowl and the woman behind the counter said "you mean medium?" Why even have the sizes on the board as "small", "regular", and "large"? In response to Xiaoming L.: the regular bowl was $16.95 + tax which brought it to $18.26. I couldn't remember off the top of my head, but knew it was close to 19. Hence the use of the "~" to indicate approximately. read more

Decided to go here to try a new poke place. Got 2 scoops (1 tuna and 1 salmon which costed 49 cents extra). The fish quality was good and good standard sides but the rice was really hard/dry. Maybe it was on off day for the rice but it made it harder to enjoy the meal with the rice. read more

Food is good, but unfortunately they added the new extra cost for salmon scoops. My favorite is their salmon mixed with their house special sauce. Service and ambiance are nothing out of the ordinary. There's an assembly line like Chipotle where you pick your fish, vegetables, sauce, etc. There is plenty of seating outside if inside gets full. This has been a favorite spot of mine for a few years and I can't believe I never did a review. This place has the most delicious poke with so many choices. I am a HUGE fan of the poke wrap, which they don't have any longer. Staffing issues= no wrap. Sad face. Either way, I still love it and appreciate the staff that js there busting their butts to keep the line moving fast. Definitely one of the best poke spots in OC! read more

My bf and I came here after gym nearby tonight around 715pm. They weren't closed for another hour but both of the workers there looked dead and ready to go home. I'm not sure about the good reviews of great super nice staff, I didn't not experience that. Both of them gave me zombie stare and didn't really answer my questions when I asked. It was our first time there and I wouldn't know how they do their poke here!? I asked for furikake at the end and the lady either didn't hear me or just ignored me. I didn't bother to say it the third time out loud that I wanted sesame and furikake! Food quality was okay, tuna didn't taste too fresh some pieces tasted fishy but we did come to a poke place 1 hour near closing time... plus the full service, I'm sorry I didn't experience the 4 star experience and have to give it a 3 stars. This used to be my favorite poke place but man has it gone down hill. Walked in today to order dinner after the gym and they were BLASTING music to the point I couldn't hear the staff. Next we get to the food and they are out of avocado. I don't know about you but I feel like avo is pretty important in a poke bowl. I ask if they can sub anything or do anything for me since they don't have a staple ingredient and they rudely say no. The fish portion also have gotten smaller and the price has gone up. Poke was pretty good. All issue I had was I had it in the to go box and the box fell apart. So I had to eat whatever was leftover that didn't come out of the box. They don't put much topping. I've been here a few times in the past, this time I took my brother & sister, they literally skimped mine & my brother's large order which is already over priced to begin with, we take a look at the bowl of the customer's behind us & their large bowl has twice the amount of meat & packed to the brim ours didn't even make it half full, yet we're charged the same amount, very disappointing to say the least, not the place you want to spend your hard earned money. read more

I was mortified when I got to the bottom of my poke bowl and found something wiggling and slowly moving around! I couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing. What is even more disappointing is I had called poke dot & left a voicemail to the manager about the incident & no one had the decency to return my phone call. That showed me how much they cared about their customer. I will not be returning to this establishment. This was always my go to place for Poke a couple times a month HOWEVER, I have to say I have had diarrhea the last time (as did a coworker) and also another time before that (which was a little worse). Not going back. Seems like there was a change in ownership or management and just not the same. Prices up quality down. Lines used to be out the door. No longer. I suspect I am not alone! read more

Came to this assemble-your-own poke spot. I had a bowl with salmon, shrimp, and spicy tuna. The portion sizes were alright and the fish tasted fresh. I liked that they included avocado as a free add-on as many poke places do not. The other toppings were all pretty standard, but fresh. read more

Located at the Square (Free WiFi in the plaza!) Solid poke place! About $14-15 for a large bowl (A large is filling enough for two people). A large comes with 5 scoops of protein (Regular is 3). Extra $1.75 for blue fin tuna and 75 cents for yellowtail, avocado is included! Got a half and half base with chips (Regular tortilla chips) and brown rice. The total was a little pricier than I'd usually like for poke, but signing up for their rewards brought the price down enough that it felt more reasonable. Parking was easier than expected. Most drinks, aside from the pour-overs, are around $4.50 to $7, which is a far greater value for what you're getting in sheer quality. There are way too many cafes these days that focus on aesthetics and end up sacrificing quality. This place feels like it's run by people who genuinely love coffee and it shows in every order. Their Bingsoo is too icy and is not creamy and pillowy soft like other BIngsoo shops. Their Bingsoo almost tastes like shaved ice with fruit on top. Also, the condensed milk was given to us in a small cup and wasn't mixed in the bottom layers of each bowl. So, it was icy at the bottom, all the way to the top and then some strawberries with a condensed milk drizzle, a few mochi pieces, and then we were given a small cup of the condensed milk to sweeten it up ourselves. I don't think I will be back, except if I really don't have a choice for a dessert nearby.

I always go with the green tea rice, two scoops of crab meat, and 3 spoons of salmon for my fish. I have tried the scallops and octopus, but I always prefer getting thrice the quantity of salmon. The crab meat and spicy tuna is complimentary, which is also a nice plus. Then, they offer a variety of veggies, fruits, and toppings. My favorites are always the edamame, cucumbers, seaweed salad, and ginger. For sauce, I go for the house on the side as I do not like to smother my plate. Food is always great but customer service stinks. When I visited there were 6+ people working and out of them all, one girl gave me great service. The rest seemed quite disinterested in any sort of customer satisfaction. On top of that, they said at the counter they hate making the wraps and it would be brought out to me shortly. So glad it's finally open! I work nearby so this location for poke is perfect. The wait was long today during lunch time when I went but it was definitely worth it. I enjoyed this concept of being able to customize your own poke bowl. If you like poke, this is a good place to go. Salmon, yellowtail, tuna, and shrimp were the selections of protein; all fresh. Nice location, but parking can be a challenge during peak hours(like all places in So. Cali.). If only a hour for lunch, then you would want to consider taking an early or late lunch to avoid the peak hour. read more
