This place was amazing! Very cute and very delicious haha. The prices for these poke bowl was at such a great price that I wouldn't ever mind coming back! The only reason for this 3 Star is because of the front counter girl that I had encounter that evening; Jeslyne ): She looked like she didn't even want to serve us. She had no smile on her face which really made me feel unwelcome and looked like she was very annoyed about serving us (doing her job). Maybe that's how she is as a person..? Who knows. Anyways I didn't let that stop me from devouring this amazing poke bowl, I wish they offer me more of the toppings like the other poke places. Plain and simple I saw someone eating the poke bake with salmon, it looked like a rectangle of greatness, immediately went and ordered my own rectangle of deliciousness and haven't looked back. I could jump of the grid, become a man of the wilderness, living off the land and my bear hands, but I guarantee I'd be hiking back once a month for that poke bake, using chopsticks made from a deer's wishbone. My mountainous musk scarring off the other customers, but there'd I'd sit for 5-7 minutes while my order is prepared only to then again disappear into the woods. just a Hawaiian living in the mainland and searching for pieces of home everywhere I go... this stop wasn't Hawaii authentic, however they offer the right mix-ins to create it to be authentic. I created my own and it was delicious. I've been craving poke for a reasonable price, this place filled that void. A couple downsides, my sushi rice was a little harder than I prefer my sushi rice to be, but that could just be my own preference and the ahi cubes were cut up really small, making it hard to pick up with chopsticks. This place has made its way to becoming my absolute favorite Poke joint in all of Sacramento, and this is coming from a person who has been to a majority of the poke spots in the area. Portions are quite possibly the best out of every single place I've been to. They make sure to stuff your bowl to the top. Since opening, they've added so many different food options that most other poke places do not offer, like their Unagi Bowl and Hamachi Kama. Also doesn't hurt that the owners are quite possibly the coolest people ever. Always extremely welcoming every time I come in, they remember my face and the times that I usually come in. Came in for a quick bite with some girlfriends and got the Poke Fix bowl. There was just the right amount of fresh fish with the salad base. The citrus and ponzu combination was tasteful. I even got to add a side of the spicy mayo. The staff were friendly and the bowls were made fairly quickly. I love the addition of the fried garlic toppings. I went to this place, I have been coming here to eat a plenty of times in the past with friends and family, however today I was in shock that they refused to make my sushi wrap the way they normally make it with avocado, cucumber & jalapeño! They Say that they have a policy against how i ordered my sushi burrito, but they made it for me several times before! They say that the policy is to prevent customers from adding too many ingredients, but on the contrary my order consisted of very little ingredients! Avocado, cucumber, jalapeño! My first job was at a very successful restaurant franchise line & when ever someone orders a personalized order as long as it was possible to do we would do it for our customers, but to my surprise today I went in & when I asked for my sushi wrap that they always make for me, the lady in the front looked at me like I was speaking in a language they couldn't comprehend! She said let me ask my manager, which really shocked me! So when she comes back she says " my manager says we will no longer be making special orders" what restaurant exists where customers don't sometimes ask to personalize their order by adding or removing ingredients!!! They were super rude! Definitely not friendly!! If I could give negative stars to this place I would but I'm obligated to leave 1 star unfortunately.. I know good business's with good customer service & this is not one so if bad customer service bothers you please invest your money in good quality business's. I wasn't too impressed with this place. I ordered the spicy tuna poke bowl on salad and nothing about it stood out as awesome to me. I asked to add avocado and when I saw it was A SLICE, one SINGLE slice of avocado for a $1, I was like nope. I understand the cost of avocado but $1 for a slice is insane. Even the lady behind me commented on how that was ridiculous, stating it should at least be half an avocado for a dollar- I agree. I still can't believe that they wanted a dollar for a slice of avocado. The inside is small and the service was slow, I came during lunch so it was busy but some of the workers seemed to be flustered by the crowd. The workers also weren't very personable. The lady behind me also ordered a pre made bowl and asked how much it would be for extra of something that was included in the bowl and they told her there was no charge. I wish I had known that because more cucumbers would have been nice, but my fault for not asking I suppose. This will definitely not a place I plan to visit again on my own accord, but if someone suggested going there for lunch I might not object. When I went here it was my first time.. Prior to the visit I was craving for Cali rolls or the ingredients in a Cali roll. I wanted to try out their poke bake.. topped it with raw salmon. WOW. Not enough great things to say about this place when it comes to customer service & food! When you go in you'll notice that it doesn't have the fishy smell that most poke places have so that's an automatic +10points! I am a total poke lover and always went to different ones to try them out but poke fix has definitely been the only one to keep me coming back! When I go I usually do the build your own bowl I get white rice in my bowl, but they have brown rice as well as salad to choose from! I get spicy tuna, ahi tuna, and salmon. Every time! Also, I love the variety of sauces SO much that I always ask to get extra drizzled over my toppings! The poke bake is always my go to when I don't want my poke bowl, which is only once in a while but when I do get it.. I never regret it! It is such a good amount for the price you pay and it's one of those things you bring back to work and all the non poke bowl eaters ask you "omg what is that!!" And almost instantly after that they try it and end up loving it! That's been a common reaction where I work . I have also tried their miso soup! It is delicious!!!! I'm not kidding!! It's super flavorful and not too heavy on the tummy so you can get it to get with your bowl burrito or poke bake!! They've recently added more cooked fish items to their menu which I think is great but have yet to try them! I'm sure they will be super delicious!! I've been here a few times now, and each experience has been less enjoyable than the first. We loved this place during soft opening and the visit after. The rice was perfectly cooked and the fish was fresh. However, the rice was not good the last two visits. The white rice is either too hard or tastes plain, or the brown rice is extremely mushy - like mash potatoes. The brown rice was probably the most disappointing. While we've never had a bad experience with the quality of the fish, the rice is very important. In addition, the prices keep going up, and that's okay, if everything still tastes perfect. I'm usually the person who asks for less sauce, but it seems there isn't enough sauce even without this request. Also, we tried the poke bake a few months ago and there was wayyyy too much cream cheese. We added sriracha hoping it would help, but it didn't. It was so overwhelming that we threw the whole thing away. On the up side, the service is always friendly. They're nice enough to give extra toppings upon request. I love wakame so every now and then I'll ask for more. Not too sure if we'll be back any time soon, especially with more poke options in the area now.
