I heard great things about this place and was really excited to try it today. I had a rough day with patients and wanted to reward myself with some Poke. On my way home, I found Yelped the hours of operation and found that it closed at 8PM. So it was a huge surprise to me when I arrive there at 7:30PM to a wide open door and brightly lit lights to be informed that they were no longer serving food. I could've sworn that they were still open, but alas the neon "OPEN" sign outside deceived me. My last few times here were not so great, but being hungry, being in the neighborhood, and craving some sashimi I thought I'd give it another try hoping things had changed. Well they kind of have, but for the worst. I think they got a smaller scooper so just when you thought the portions of fish couldn't get any smaller - they have. If you did a blind taste test and placed the salmon, ahi, and albacore in front of you, you would not be able to taste the difference between the three. None of them taste like the fish they're pretending to be, in fact none of them have any flavor at all. I thought the main ingredient in poke is the fish. Poke Rainbow's fish is of very poor quality. I want to give this place a better review since it's the closest poke place near me and I go all the time but every time is more disappointing than the last. They are always running out of items and they are very expensive. Every employee anytime i ask for extra it's either $2 more or I'm not allowed because they are running low. I understand the proteins being extra but for onions or corn is extra as well. I'm surprised they are running low because they are very stingy. The workers are always nice and the food is alright but overall not worth the money anymore. I rather just drive to Camarillo at this point. read more

I've ordered a small poke bowl with salmon, shrimp and several different toppings, and each time it is so delicious. The mix of flavors and freshness leaves you satisfied. Ordered a poke bowl for my son and I to enjoy for his 4th birthday; a little tradition we have. I'd never heard of this place but it came up on top of my yelp search, so we gave it a try. I ordered a large bowl so I could get to try the most of what they had to offer. I was blown away by the quality! All their ingredients tasted very fresh, the rice was the proper sticky rice thats so hard to find around here, and the toppings/sauce were mixed well and not over sauced. My little man and I enjoyed it so much, but there was so much food we had leftovers! A large bowl for around $18 with add-ons is plenty of food for my whole family of 3! An awesome value. My boyfriend and I came in tonight for the first time and it was fantastic! First, the food: the fish (I got the salmon and tuna) and other toppings (crab salad, pineapple, etc.) tasted super fresh. There were also a ton of different sauces to choose from. I got eel sauce and sesame oil while my boyfriend got spicy mayo and "David's sauce" (he HIGHLY recommends trying this). My only complaint is that the rice was not as good as some other places I've been to. It was a little mushy and dry at the same time, but that might have been because we came thirty minutes to closing. In terms of service, the young man that served us tonight (didn't get his name, but it was not David) was really sweet. Even with thirty minutes to close and him clearly being the only employee to close the store that night, he never made us feel rushed. He also explained how the menu worked and gave us recommendations for sauces. He really made the experience great. Overall, I would recommend this place to everyone. Everything tasted fresh and yummy. Even though I live in Santa Barbara, I'd be happy to make the drive down here to get some decent poke! read more

1st off all great place to eat poke! Great portions and it's always amazing. but only when you go in to eat! Never order from them on door dash ever! Every time I do it come dry with no sauce. Even though it specifies whether or not you want sauce and how much you want on the door Dash app.. ive orderd it maybe 4 times and it's the same thing every time dry with no sauce not even on the side. I have purchased take out food from this place in the past and have had mixed levels of customer service. The food quality is ok (depends on the day) if they have not run out of certain items. On my most recent visit around dinner time, I found 3 customers standing in line and no employees at the counter. I looked towards the back kitchen and saw no employees as well. One of the customers asked the first customer if they had been waiting for long, that customer said a 'few minutes' and had not seen any employees. We all waited a few more minutes and still no employees. I then called back into the kitchen area and got no response. After a minute we heard the rear business door open and in walked 2 male employees. They both approached the front counter and asked if they could help the first customer. The customer ordered an item with a white rice base for his Poke dish. The employee said they didn't have any white rice available? I believe that the majority of their Poke dishes contain White rice? Did the day manager forget to order enough White rice for the week? Were these employees on an employee group break behind the business while 4 customers waited in silence until I called out for service? No employee offered and apology for the delay or the fact that the business was out of White rice. ( ie: a sushi restaurant without Sushi) It seemed as if the employees did not care and did not enjoy working at this business. Im not sure the owners of this business would be happy with these employees. The food quality has gone down as well as the quality of their employees. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. I'll be going to the Poke restaurant on Victoria in the future. You get what you pay for. read more

Went there the other day around lunch time. Got two medium poke bowls. I had ahi. Yellow tail, and scallops. I think they blanch their fish lightly with boiling water so it can sit out longer. I was happy with all the ingredients in my poke bowl. But they were a little stingy with the topping ingredients. Will probably try it again. It's near where I live. read more

Pretty good poke. However the rice they use to serve the poke is very warm, almost hot at this location. It warms the proteins.

So delicious. We stopped on our way to LA and will 100% be back next time we come through.

Took a couple bowls to the beach and it was a great time. I live close so I recommend doing that to change up the options of only fish tacos, etc near the beach. Wish the spicy Mayo was spicier but it was still great. read more

We found this Poke location on Yelp. It had just a few reviews but we still gave it a try even though it's new. We were not disappointed. The guy that served us was friendly from the moment we walked in. Everything looked clean and well kept. The Poke bowls tasted fresh and delicious. I think this was the best Poke I've ever had. I wasn't crazy about the crab salad. It tasted too much like Mayo. But overall this is a five star place. read more

i've been to MANY poke places all around ventura county, LA county, and Orange county. this place is in my top 5 definitely. they give amazing portions and it tastes fresh too. i'm also picky with sauces and i love the options they have and they aren't heavy handed with the sauce so it doesn't get all soupy, unless you ask for that of course (my go to is sesame shoyu, sesame oil, and spicy mayo). i've been coming here for a few months now and the one factor that makes this place my favorite is the SERVICE. shoutout to David!!!!! every employee here has been great but David is MY MANNNNN!!!! he's so KIND, outgoing and is genuinely interested in having conversation and also making sure that he makes your poke bowl exactly to your liking. it takes a lot for me to write reviews and i've been meaning to write one for this place for awhile, and tonight's service from David finally pushed me to leave this review. they usually only have one employee at a time making poke bowls so it can be a wait sometimes- but have patience. it's a process to make the bowls and it shouldn't be rushed so they can make sure your bowl taste great! i come for the poke and leave with my faith in humanity restored. read more

I had the most disgustingly awful experience at this restaurant. The customer service is terrible. The workers are rude and disorganized. There was one worker in particular that rubbed me the wrong way. He wore a black hoodie and a hat with the restaurant logo on it. He reeked of cigarettes and visibly had dirt under his fingernails. He didn't bother with sparking up any conversation. He just proceeded to fill my bowl quietly with a visible look of disinterest on his face. Obviously looking like he hates his job. After making my bowl and ringing me up he pulled his phone out and walked to the back of the restaurant not even bothering with asking if I wanted utensils. Again I was hit with the fresh smell of cigarette smoke and could clearly hear the employee speaking loudly on the phone objectifying me by my physical appearance say how "hot" my body was. Safe to say I will not be comfortable going back there again. I don't recommend the food either. The salmon smelled and tasted spoiled plus there was hair in my rice! Also my seaweed salad was still frozen. Again I say that I won't be returning ever again. I sure hope that nobody else has this experience either. read more

This new place is definitely now the best poke in vta. Way better than the previous poke place that was here. New workers are so much nicer. Poke is also better as far as freshness and quality. Toppings are all great. They claim it's Hawaiian style poke, but I'd say it's more mainland-style Hawaiian poke. All in all very good read more

Edit; after having the food, the fish was fresh! Much more fresh than the other poke in this area. The rice portion was a little too large and also the rice had a little too much water in it. With more training this place can honestly be the best poke around here. With the prompt response from the owner I'm expecting this place to improve at a moments notice.
