Love this new location! It's a perfect place for a quick lunch or dinner. The staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered from their signature works menu so that we didn't have to make our own selections. (We are lazy!) The only selection we had to make was to choose a base. I ordered a regular bowl of Hawaiian Classic, and the tuna was so fresh. It tasted like a chirashi sushi in Japanese cuisine, but with more vegetables. It tasted really good. However, I think it's a bit pricey as the regular bowl is very small. I also ordered miso soup, which added up to about $13. The miso soup was okay. After finishing, I was feeling hungry. read more

You know a place a bad if both the service and food is horrible. Pokeworks failed to deliver in both these metrics. Their poke menu is limited, having set protein combinations ex: salmon + tuna or shrimp + scallops. The toppings had less options then competitors as well. Also + 50 cents for masago?? The one thing that was interesting was that they asked you how much dressing you wanted: light, regular, or extra. The cashier lady was probably the worst part. When she totally disregarded me and was scrolling on her phone. After paying she said that the tip didnt work so she asked if i wanted to tip 15, 18 or 20%??? Shamlessly i said no tip and she proceeded to leave my pokebowl behind the counter without utensils and walked off. The poke bowl itself was mediocre. Everything was bland and low quality. read more

What is it about Poke places that make them distinct from each other? Everybody has roughly the same ingredients yet you can tell a crappy place from a great place by the umami flavour of freshness. Pokeworks' freshness seems to be unmatched by its neighbours. I got a kale-noodle bowl (for future reference: NOT Paleo) with delicious tuna and albacore with their umami shoyu sauce. It wasn't too sweet, not too salty...just perfectly balanced and the resultant bowl with its buffet of toppings was very nice to photograph. Just as with its Downtown Seattle location, it's easy to be paralyzed with the choice but you'll rarely regret your selections. It helps they have a yelp deal for free iced tea with your check-in. Pokeworks is another Chipotle-style poke spot. Despite the good reviews, I was very underwhelmed with my experience when I stopped by on a weekday evening, about an hour before closing. First of all, I came here to try their poke burrito, but that was unavailable because they had already put away the wrap to make it. I ended up getting a regular poke bowl instead. I went with the albacore and spicy salmon, but both of them tasted very fishy. That was a major indicator to me that the fish quality wasn't all that fresh. You also get a very small portion because they measure out each protein with the little ice-cream scoopers that so many places use. I liked the variety of options that they had, but not all of them work well with the poke, so that's something to consider if you're someone who likes to add a little bit of everything to your bowl. I would recommend avoiding the oranges and taro chips, because the oranges were mushy and flavorless and the taro chips were soggy. I was pretty excited to try their house sauce, but it was really bland when mixed in with the poke, and it didn't mask the fishiness of my proteins. Lastly, it's cool that you get a free organic drink with your Yelp check in, but I sampled most of them before committing to one, and they all had a weird aftertaste and didn't taste very good overall. Overall, I don't think I'll be back to try the poke burrito because I'd rather stick to places with fresher fish, better sauces, and non-novelty toppings that are tried and true. read more

I don't care too much for poké or the raw fish, but I had seen that they had the sushi burritos here, and other options for protein besides the raw fish. The price was a little less than the other only poké place I have ever tried and I do like it better here. Again, since I don't care too much for regular poké and don't eat it much, I'm not sure what is really considered good poké. But I really did like the poké noodle bowl with chicken and shrimp and the sushi burrito with chicken and shrimp that I ordered. I liked all the different options for the mix-ins, the toppings, and the sauces. I like how they do not charge extra for all the toppings, besides the avocado. I would definitely come grab lunch here again (and they have punch cards!). read more

Consistently tasty, lots of flavor and fresh. Our favorite Poke in the Seattle aera!

Not bad for poke, but it's not my favorite. There are some pros and cons to this place, but overall, I'm glad there's more poke options in my neighborhood. When I first visited for lunch I was pleased to see other options for bases that aren't found at other poke places, such as quinoa (+$1) or kale noodles. I decided to make my own large bowl, which comes with three scoops of protein. I love kale, so thought to try the kale noodles, but until I saw what they actually looked like - it seemed to be flour noodles mixed with kale puree for that green color. I'm not normally a fan of flour noodles, so decided to skip it for a mix of the sushi rice and spring mix. For the protein, I had planned to get two scoops of spicy salmon and one scoop of spicy tuna, but saw the spicy salmon and it looked really watery and were small cuts. I decided to only get one scoop of the salmon, with two scoops of the spicy tuna, which looked much more fresh and had thicker cuts of fish. After I ordered my protein I saw another employee refill the spicy salmon case and the salmon in that case still looked really watery and unappealing, so not sure if it's overly drenched in sauce or what. Regardless, there was quite a bit of options for toppings here. I do like that the staff asks how much of the sauce you want - light, medium or heavy, since everyone has a preference on how much sauce they want in their food. As I was going through the line, to build my bowl, there were three staffers working. Behind me was a party of two. When I was waiting to build my toppings one of the employees skipped me and went to one of the customers from the party behind me. I was confused as to why I was skipped, but the entire time of making my bowl, one of the customers who came after me was helped first while who appeared to be his father was served after me, so the party wasn't even together. Even at the register the son told the cashier he was paying for his dad and she saw me next, so asked if I was with the same group. So, how the line formation works here seems a bit odd. Since I had checked in I let the cashier know for my free infused tea offer, and she mentioned that for all those dining in - everyone will get a free infused tea, to celebrate the new opening. So in case you don't check in on Yelp (shame on you!) and visit here soon, you can still get the infused tea, where there are three flavors to choose from. I really liked the Tropical Green Tea, which came with mango flavoring and is my favorite fruit! But I love that there is an option for low-calorie and low-sugar tea here versus pop (which I don't drink). Overall, my large build-your-own poke bowl was good, and really enjoyed the Sriracha Aioli with the chunks of Spicy Ahi! Some minor things of it were that the presentation was a tad messy, I couldn't taste much vinegar in the sushi rice, and the spicy salmon was just too watered down. I probably will just stick with tuna here for future visits unless the salmon looks better the next time around. Park in the upper lot for Safeway and Pokeworks will be just down the stairs. Pokeworks is worth a visit if you're in the area. read more

So I ordered through GrubHub and my order was completed just as I requested. I am giving it a three stars because compared to other Poke places I have gone this one was just middle of the road. I was pretty regular here but the last few visits leave me concerned. I am a big fan of the haupia so I usually get it. A few weeks back I went in and got it and right before I left I just randomly saw the sticker on the bottom and it said the haupia had expired two days before. I checked all the haupia in the fridge and all of them were expired. I asked them about it and they refunded me. Today I got food there again and got the haupia. I took a quick look at the label and it said it expires in a couple days so it's still good. I bought it and left. With the first bite I realized it tastes funny and checked the label again. It was then I noticed that the label was stuck over another label that said it expired a few days previously. It really concerns me when a place openly deceives customers about expiration dates, especially when they serve sushi. read more

I have ordered from Pokeworks about 50 times. I pay $0.75 extra for extra sauce 50 times. I have only received it like maybe 10. They stopped charging extra for sauce on doordash which definitely makes me less angry when it has been forgotten but honestly I still want my sauce. Other than that I really like the topping and flavors. I love the poke burrito because I don't always get a lot of time to eat and it's fast and easy. We came during the afternoon post lunch rush hour, so it was nice, clean and the server was curteous. Food is plenty for the bowl serving, though it is now a $15 lunch around this part of town. I was prefer the noodle option over the rice personally, and how many protein toppings doesn't really matter that much since in the end it's all well mixed in. Honestly this place was okay. Just okay. I got a poke bowl and it just seemed quite weird. I'm used to having poke bowls with cold rice since the fish and toppings were kept cold, but this rice was warm.. like just newly cooked warm. It threw off the dish for me. It could be just my own personal preference, but it was unexpected and just not what I've been used to. The toppings were good and plentiful and the fish itself is prepared well. This is my favorite Pokeworks location! Easy parking, super convenient and plenty of seating for a quick bite. The quality is just as great as the Seattle location and by far way better than other Poke restaurants. I highly recommend getting a bowl with half rice and half kale noodles, best of both worlds! The staff are friendly and helpful if it's your first time and overwhelmed with the options and choices. Today was my first time trying Pokéworks, and I am impressed. The facility was clean as a whistle (& perfectly air conditioned!!), the staff was very friendly, and the food was great. I ordered the poké burrito, which is basically a poké bowl wrapped in rice. I read some other reviews that mentioned small portions, but that wasn't my experience. My burrito was filled to the brim. I can't speak for the bowls though. It seems everything is extremely customizable, and you can always just ask for more (i didn't have to though). I was so full, I couldn't even finish. The only potentially confusing bit was that some of the ingredients are unfamiliar, and none of them are labeled. Luckily, the gentleman that was assisting me named each item off as he offered them to me. I'm not sure if this is standard practice, as I didn't see everyone doing this. This location is big and so clean! I'm such a big fan of Pokeworks! So happy that they opened a location in Bellevue. I have been to a few of their locations and they remain very consistent in quality and taste. Pokeworks never fails to satisfy me. It's filling, but never feels heavy. Can't wait for more locations to open up so I can have it whenever I please. Probably the best Poke in town!!! I literally can eat at Pokeworks everyday, it's that good! UPDATE: Yesterday I was in town at Bellevue and dropped in again at the store to grab a Spicy Ahi Poke burrito. The sauce was very flavorful and was able to add edamame and seaweed salad in addition the the signature works mixins. I would suggest this to anyone that hasn't had the burrito before. The staff was friendly and at the end gave me a flyer for their grand opening coming up. Wish I was in town for it because they're giving out some of their tshirts throughout the day. The only complaint I would have is that I wish they would have more drink options. We're fans of poke, and we've been going to this place for years. In the past 6 months, quantities have really dropped. Used to be, if you ordered all the toppings, your bowl was nearly full. These days, you'd be lucky to get a bowl 3/4 full. Servers regularly pick up some food with tongs or a spoon, then put some back. I asked why they're doing that, and asked for more -- mind you, of regular toppings like cucumber, seaweed salad, not fancy stuff like the raw fish. They said their boss has been telling them to reduce the amount they give, and they have to follow his instructions. Feel it's time to check all the poke throughout Bellevue -- half a dozen options, no reason why we have to keep going here. Two stars because what they did provide was delicious as always. Can't believe they opened in Bellevue also. I'm a big fan of their Seattle location, but it's so busy during lunch. The space looks bigger. They just opened yesterday. This time I got the salmon shiso, I added the onion crisp that added a nice crunch to every bite. I took the poke bowl to Bellevue park and had a nice lunch. I would recommend umami ahi and spicy ahi, both very flavorful and well marinated. They also let you pick any toppings and crunches on top of your bowl too. Not sure why the reviews are so low for this store! I thought the poke was very fresh and tasty! They even threw in an extra topping for me which was very nice considering I didn't really ask for it - in my innocence, I didn't realize I had reached the max :) anyway, we also had a toddler running around while the store was empty and the employees were very nice about it as well.
