If you're serving raw fish, its going to take an exceedingly high level of fish quality, add ons, and cleanliness to get you to 5 stars. I got a Food Posioning.... I had a sushi burrito with the salmon for a dinner. And that night was the worst day of my life. The worker wore a glove on only one hand and other hand was keep touching the ingredients with her long nails. Prep station was not clean either. Came here for a late lunch and just got a to go order. Most people who were coming in were getting food to go. There was a table with customers dining inside. The establishment was clean and it was straight forward of where to order. Service was great and the cashier/person who took my order was friendly. I ordered the 3 protein poke bowl with half and half (greens and rice). Salmon was my choice of protein and I got the spicy chef sauce - 2nd sauce listed. Ingredients were good and food tasted good as well. Serving size was not as large as I expected compared to other places I have gone and there were less topping choices than other places but over all a good lunch and I had no complaints. Just got our "bowls" from DoorDash and my husband and I were shocked. There was almost nothing but rice in our bowls. If I felt like having a bowl of rice with a few tiny pieces of fish and toppings I could have made it at home for 5$ instead of the 50$ we paid. I called to complain and of course no manager was available and the poor child making the bowls informed me that they weigh all their fish for each of the bowls so she couldn't understand why i was upset. I'd been driving by this place for a while and just hadn't stopped in. I'm super glad I did...it is very good. They offer sushi rice which most of the poke places don't offer. It's so much better than plane white rice. Their toppings are very fresh. I love that they mix up your toppings with your choice of sauce before adding it to the bowl of rice...it's so much better all mixed up... The staff was friendly and helping especially when it came to choosing a sauce...they have like 10 options. It wasn't very busy when I went in but apparently they get busy during the regular lunch and dinner hours. The restaurant was pretty clean, the restroom was clean. This is honestly the best poke place I've had in awhile. Variety of fish, toppings and sauces is great and all ingredients are super fresh. You can make your own bowl or burrito or choose front their signature ones. The place is modern and clean, and staff are extremely friendly and patient for this first timer! I think I'm being generous with a 3 star rating. Serving size of their scoops for the protein is extra small. Their shrimp are not sushi grade shrimp and they still have shells in their tails. Embarrassing. I asked for sushi rice. Which they don't seem to have their based in front to make the bowls. They have to go to the back. They forgot my rice when they made my bowl. You would think they would get a new bowl and place the already mixed protein on top of rice. Nope. They clumped the rice on top then proceeded to mix it all up. I really wanted to like this place because it is so conveniently located and the prices aren't terrible. Only the staff seems to have never had build your own poke before. One of our new favorites! We are self proclaimed poke connoisseurs setting the bar high with fresh poke from Kauai. Fish is fresh and love the variety of fresh toppings including my fav pineapple which adds a sweet crunch. My husband got the zucchini noodles which is a great low carb option and tastes great. The snow was great- soy and mayo, and I paired it with spicy mayo too. The interior is modern and the chairs are big and comfy. Our son got the Japanese curry with chicken and he loved it.
