Very polite the restaurant was very clean and neat The only problem is one of my friends is confined to a wheelchair and we had to walk up one step to get her chair into the restaurant . The Scarlett Vetter says.....My husband and I and my father-in -law ("FIL") came here for an early dinner on a Wednesday. My husband and my FIL are Polish so they were really looking forward to it. There is plenty of parking and it is open 7 days a week from 8 am to 8 pm. The interior of the restaurant is small and cozy with alot of Polish artwork. There are about 18 tables, mostly 4 tops. No alcohol is served and Polish music plays over the loudspeaker. It was busy but not crowded. My husband and my FIL ordered a cup of Czarnina soup which is a traditional Polish soup filled with prunes, raisins and kluski noodles. Sounds weird but it is quite yummy. The soups came as a part of their meals. I had a house salad which also came with my meal. The salad had lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, red cabbage, carrots and shredded cheddar cheese. It was a nice sized portion. The soups and salad were each served on plates as they all came with a nice large slice of light rye bread with butter. My husband and I ordered the breaded porkchops and Pierogi, (one each of cheese and sauerkraut). My FIL ordered the Golabek and Pierogi (both cheese) and the dinner came with choice of potato and vegetable. He ordered mashed potatoes (which looked and tasted homemade) with gravy and sweet and sour cabbage as the veggie. The Golabek is the singular form of Golabki (pronounced "Gour-um-key") which are stuffed cabbage leaves. The stuffing is a delicious meat and rice mixture and the stuffed leaves are then covered in a thin tasty red tomato based sauce. Just one is huge! My father in law said it was excellent. Our pork chops were also huge. They were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Really nice! The Pierogi were absolutely yummy, even the sauerkraut one was wonderful. All of us loved the sweet and sour cabbage too. My potato was a potato pancake which comes with sour cream or apple sauce. That was fantastic. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. I ordered the potato pancake with sour cream because I am more of a savory girl than a sweet girl. Most entrees are $20.99 but there is a lot of food. The total bill with tip was about $116.00 or $38/each but there was an entire dinner plus left over which the FIL took home so that would make it more like $29/each. For dessert my FIL ordered Lemon Cream Pie and my husband got the strawberry and cheese crepes. I got talked into blueberry crepes, as I am sure he wanted them too. He has quite a sweet tooth! The crepes did not disappoint! My FIL loved his lemon pie, tart and sweet he said. I really liked the experience. The servers were very friendly. There was also lot of takeout traffic, which is great for the restaurant. I do wish they served wine or beer, however. read more

This was a staple growing up. My grandparents loved eating here and in my recent visit, it seems their typical clientele is the 70 and over crowd. The decor sort of matches the age of the patrons. It has that "rustic" feel with aging wood and paintings no one would ever hang in their home. The menu has the traditional Polish stuff (pierogis, sausage, etc) but also some diner type food. They also offer an extensive breakfast menu if you arrive early enough. One of my favorite things is that they have Czernina. It is difficult to find (and not easy to make) so it is a real treat every time I get it. My favorite meal is the Polish platter. It has a little of everything (pierogi, sausage, stuffed cabbage, sweet and sour cabbage). Portions are large enough that you can definitely make at least two meals out of them. It is absolute comfort food to me and they do it really well. If you want authentic Polish food, definitely stop in. read more

I waited several minutes to place eat-in order then waved her over (waved arms and shrugged wondering why she just stood by register instead of asking me order) . You may think "polish villa" is something on a beachtown housecleaner's to-do list. You'd be wrong. Polish food is a big deal in WNY. It's famous for wings and beef-on-weck, less famous but equally amazing for pizza and souvlaki. The Polish food in WNY is good, and this is one of the best examples of it. But for the best Pierogi, I'd go elsewhere. What to get: Beef w/Kluski Noodles. Smoked Polish Sausage Sandwich. What else: everything. Polish Villa and heaven are synonymous in the Cheektowaga-Sloane-Depew communities, and I am lucky enough to know some Polish folks who once lived on the East Side who told me I should come here, and man, they were not wrong. I thought Peter K's was good Polish food, and indeed it is, but that was before I had been blessed by the deliciousness of what is known as the Polish Villa. Peter K's rules over the Pierogi and wings, but the other Polish food here is top notch, especially the noodles. I started by trying their Pierogies (not as good as Peter K's or Sokolowski's in Cleveland or Hubert's in Columbus, but way way way WAY better than Betty Crockski truck et al), and then progressed to their Polish Sausage sandwich, which is one of the best sandwiches I've had. They give you the choice between Smoked Sausage or Regular, and you should ask for a combination of both so that you can try both, although I think the Smoked wins, easily. The price is reasonable and the portion is very generous - you'll have so much sausage and saurkraut you'll think you woke up in Warsaw. And were not missing a kidney. Necessarily. Ask for butter on the sandwich for an extra treat. Then I came here over Christmas for a sit down meal, and have since had about 13 sit-down meals here, and a couple at the other location (Polish Villa II) which is good, similar menu, but I prefer this one. The sit down meal: It was very romantic and quaint in a completely non-pretentious way (Buffalo is not very pretentious anyway, it's hard to be pretentious when half of your city is abandoned factories and all of your city is submerged under 3 feet of dirty snow). The servers were extremely friendly and adorable, and it didn't hurt that they knew my friend that I went with quite well from childhood. So I tried the Polish Combo Platter, or the Sampler, whatever it is called it is phenomenal! It comes with a potato pancake, sausages, kluski noodles (don't know how to spell it) and about three other things, and every single thing it comes with is yumtastic! I can't even begin to tell you which things I liked the most because it was all so good... so good in fact that I will be going back there in the next week or two - mark my words. Polish food is better than German food. There. I said it. Germany may have the bigger history, the better roads, cars, some really freaking beautiful women, and the better football team, but Poland has the food. German food is good... Polish food is amazing. It's really heavy though. The food I mean. Know that going in. But Polish food is great. And Aston Villa is some of the best Polish food in WNY. Aston Villa is a popular soccer team in England... they just got relegated... they have ties to Fascism... but for that, and many other reasons, I'd rather have Polish Villa any day of the week. . read more

First red flag about the place was that they used the Polish flag as a table cloth on an accent table for decoration. You absolutely never do that, and is one of the most disrespectful things you can do that will offend REAL Polish people. Also, their food is very overpriced for how little you get. Cooked kielbasa was so tiny, that a small toddler could barely call it an appetizer. Also, please skip the pierogi and just get the frozen ones from Wegman's. None of the food was really that close to traditional Polish food. My parents are Polish immigrants, and I've also been to Poland over a dozen times. The food wasn't even close to being considered Polish. If there is literally ANYTHING that is worth getting there, is the naleśniki (Polish crepes). They tasted delicious, and my the friends I went with loved them. Also, staff was generally very nice. The place isn't really all that bad if you just want something to eat, and not necessarily Polish food. I'm rating one star, pretty much just because of the flag-tablecloth fiasco. What a great meal. I am the adventurous one so I went for the polish platter, mashed potatoes and clam chowder. The chowder was amazing. It was evident they know how to layer flavors and make soup have hearty depth of flavor. Then my entree came. The gloubki was huge and so good! The pierogis were also large in size and very tasty. Old fashioned Polish restaurant with decor going way back in time. Service staff was friendly and helpful. Kitchen was overwhelmed with a new cook and many take out orders. For dinner, you get one slice of bread for each in your party. Pierogi are huge, and I think that is a Buffalo thing. They are served without onions or sour cream, unless you order them as sides. It is with a heavy heart that I post this review of the Polish Villa. My family has been dining there for over 40 years, and the food has always been fantastic home cooking. We stopped in for an early dinner and ordered the turkey dinner, which has always been one of our favorites. I'm not sure why this time it was practically inedible. The stuffing was just a dried hunk, some of the turkey pieces were dried out, and there was not much gravy on anything. We mentioned our concerns to one of the long time servers and she brought more gravy. Not that we want to discourage anyone to be wary of going there, but we just want to let diners know that the turkey dinner is not what it used to be. Too bad. read more

This place takes me to the quaint comforts of the polish Carpathian Mountains where I am being housed by a old polish lady who wants to feed me till I burst!
