    Fried chicken, Yum!!!
    Randy B.

I wish I could give this more Stars as I really love Pollo Campero chicken (fried and grilled) it has amazing flavor and the fried chicken is so crispy and seasoned perfectly. Their sides are really good well, I personally like the campero beans, campero rice and the coleslaw. You can get dinner rolls or tortilla's with your meals and they have a variety of Pepsi products as well as Horchata, Jamaica and Mango juices, this all sounds great and it is. One thing I would not recommend are the chicken nuggets, not because of the taste, they taste great, but they are very expensive for the little amount you get. They are so small and not worth the money spent on them. Pollo Campero is a bit pricey overall for fast food, but at least it tastes really good and overall portions are decent with the exception of the nuggets. They do have an app, which I recommend using, it will save you time as well as earn you free food and discounts, so always take advantage when you can. Inside is nice, clean, bright and they take care of the tables and make sure to clean them quickly when people leave, which is great. Now to the rest. The service here is lacking though behind the register. I ordered a big order in advance on the app as I knew it would take time. Said it would be ready at 12:05, which was 40 minutes from when I ordered and it was not ready until after 12:30. I understand things take time, but an hour plus, especially when many people were coming In and ordering big orders and getting them right away. Seems like our kept getting pushed back. I tried to ask a couple times if it was ready and they seemed bothered I was asking, disappointing as I was being very nice. Next they have hot Pollo Campero green sauce on every table inside when dining in, you can use as much as you want, no charge, pour out an entire bottle, whatever. But, when I asked for a small container so I could put some of the green hot sauce in while I was waiting, I was told "NO" they only sell the bottles and I could not have a small cup to put some into. That is ridiculous, I spent almost $150 on food for my family and friends and they would not give me a 2 ounce cup to put a little green sauce into. Someone should speak to them about customer service. Overall, food is amazing, you will have to put up with slow service and poor customer service to get to the good food. Sorry to say. Sorry my pics are terrible of the food, by the time I remembered to get some shots, everyone have taken all the food and they was not much left. Enjoy!

Ordered online and picked it up - went with 8 pcs family meal. I got the mixed - fried/grilled with yuca fries, rice and Empanadas. I would recommend that you stick to the fried chicken rather then the grilled. We were not fan of the grilled, however the fried chicken was awesome. The meat was moist, seasoned well and the skin was still crispy. I would skip the rice, stick to yuca fries. I would also recommend empanadas, it's worth it!!

I have seen this place while shopping at Vallarta's Super Market a few times and decided to try it for lunch. After picking up some groceries, I came here to pick up food. One lady was ahead of me ordering - there was only one worker taking orders as it wasn't busy yet. I waited and placed my order for the 8 piece meal with grilled chicken. Got two sides - the rice and the beans, although the yucca fries and plantains were tempting. But had to get the core stuff first! It took maybe 6 minutes and I was out of there. The chicken was tasty - grilled and juicy. The rice had some veggies mixed in and was pretty flavorful. The beans were good as well. The only thing that was slightly disappointing were the tortillas which was good but kept falling apart. Overall I like this place, a little more authentic than El Pollo Loco. Fast, friendly service.

The fried chicken here is all right. The chicken tastes like it was defrosted from the freezer and refried. Unfortunately I came back from Guatemala and had their original Pollo Campero chicken and it was the bomb there. The Jamaica drink, however, was excellent. The service here is excellent. The workers here greeted us with a smile, and also came by our table to ask us how we were doing. The ambience here is all right. This is definitely better than KFC but not Guatemala. Pollo Campero.

I give this restaurant five stars. Food was excellent. They served us at the table quickly. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. The place is very clean and what impacted me the most was that they served us on real plates. They didn't put food in a plastic basket with a sheet of wax paper or in a cardboard box.I looked up the reviews of all the Pollo Campero restaurants in the area, and this one has the highest rating and honestly, I think it deserves a higher rating than what they show on yelp. If you are in the area, this is definitely a place to eat and even if you have to go out of your way, I would suggest you visit this restaurant.

The line went outside the building, but it moved decently fast. After ordering you get a number and they will deliver the food to your table. I got a variety of their tacos. Each taco had a unique twist to it, and tasted really good. They also had a cool black tortilla which had a nice texture. I especially like the fried fish one as it had a mellow yet delicious flavor. I also got their cheap chips, and that as well worth the price. Definitely give this place a shot. It does match up to the hype.

The kanpachi tostada was also great, and the uni with scallop was a nice pairing. Fish tacos were good but not as memorable as the raw dishes. Also tried the smoked kanpachi taco but again not outstanding compared to the raw seafood. Their sauces were also good but spicy! The light brown one had a unique flavor to it and was my favorite but also the spiciest so be aware. Price - On the higher end as expected from a Michelin 1 star, but the quality on the raw dishes justifies it. Wouldn't say every dish is worth the price, but most of them were good. Ambience - This is a food hall setup, you order at the counter, get a number, and they'll bring your food to you. Lines can get long, especially since it seems busy most days now. If the wait isn't worth it, there are other solid-looking vendors in the same food hall to check out. Parking - Small paid lot on site, or street parking nearby. It's also next to a DMV in which you can park after 6pm-ish (would double check the signs)

The drive there was a bit iffy due to location but surprisingly the street that the restaurant is on was clean and felt pretty safe! I chose to park on the street but I'd advise to valet ($15) for safety purposes. We walked into a concrete built up newish area that had a brewery and another Michelin rated restaurant across the courtyard. The entire area was inviting! The restaurant felt like we took a dinner vacation to Cabo which was recipe for a relaxing evening! We ordered from the restaurant week menu which for us consisted of Ceviche, Guac w/delicious fresh tortilla fresh chips, whipped beans, snapper, bbq chicken, empanadas and basque cheesecake. Yes, you get all three so no hard choices have to be made. My first impression of the beans was that they were no biggie but last night they were fire! I almost ordered a plate to take home. You have been warned the ceviche tostada has a kick but squirt some lime on it if you need to and you will survive. As for the guacamole, it's guacamole - need I say more? For my entree I went with the snapper, which came with escabeche, lime, pineapple, cilantro, green onion, and chili rub. In the past, I've strictly stuck to their small plates and I feel that's still the way to go. Nothing wrong with my snapper, I just love all the other little plates more. I went with one other person and only one piece of cheesecake came out. Supposedly it was a bigger slice but looked like an average size to me. This cheesecake is made with manchego cheese so don't expect an overly sweet treat. I did enjoy it. But, I also ordered their flan that is only available in August and I found that to be better than the cheesecake. Get both as one is limited edition. We also got the fried chicken tacos. We were told they were pretty spicy but I felt the ceviche was spicier. They were tasty but did not live up to their oxtail tacos they used to have. Also, squirt some lime on these tacos - you're welcome. This is one of my fave places to dine during peak weather season. Go check them out. Tip: street parking is available if you get there at 5 otherwise valet is $15. Trust, you do not want to park your car anywhere other than that one block where the restaurant is located.

Molcajete: 4/5 A favorite at our table that was filled with so many protein options and a nice salsa to pair with. We loved the chicken, chorizo, and the queso!! The only reason it got a 4/5 was because the steak was waaaay too salty which made it hard to enjoy. The shrimp was a nice touch, also not too fishy and the bacon paired nicely. Jamaica: 5/5 We loved the Jamaica here and it tastes very traditional. It doesn't taste like it's made from powder and comes in a huge glass cup. The meat was perfectly grilled but the chicharron was a little tough but still good. The vegan plate had much flavor -- the beans were tasty and the rice fresh. The spinach empanada was a little tough - it was crispy but there was less spinach than I would have expected and the cheese in it wasn't really melted either.
