I have been a customer here since my wife introduce me to Peruvian food. I love the different gourmet. This place is great and quick. But the customer service is horrible. The host just doesn't seem very happy about her job. Doesn't really greet at all. Can't even hear what she is saying. She speaks so low. It's always the same host. I have been holding to write any bad review. But tonight broke the camel's back. Everything was going good until the waiter spill the whole cup of water onto our tablet. He just apologize once and picked up the cup like it was normal or it's part of his job. He sent the host, who hates her job, and another gentleman that was near by to help clean our table. What was the most disturbing part is that my phone was on the tablet but I picked it up a few seconds before he spilled the drink. What if my phone would of gotten wet?! The waiter didn't even bother to make up for spilling the cup of water onto our tablet. The bread they serve had gotten wet. He didn't ask if we wanted new bread or changed them for us without having to ask. Until my wife asked if we can get new bread. It seem normal to him to spill the drink. I don't want to put his name on blast but I was told he has been working at the restaurant for YEARS!! For the years working there, I didn't expect this kind of "its normal" attitude. The only reason they are receiving a 2 Star is because the food is great. People speak of some restaurants being over price but if the customer service is phenomenal, you don't mind spending that extra dime.. So... El Pollo Inka Express is good, but the manager (Hector) at the front counter makes this place GREAT! I've been to all of the restaurants they have, but I prefer the express. It is cheaper, faster, more convenient, and again this guy's customer service transcends any other place you can think of. All of the dishes are tender and succulent and that $6.99 Combo Inka is awesome. It features: 1/4 chicken (white or dark), rice, beans, salad, soup, and a drink. I was disappointed today with my Lomo saltado. I normally like this place very much, today not so much. Too much rice, not enough beef. Considering were paying $10, I would think a little more meat would've been appropriate. My biggest issue though is with the fact that the rice was undercooked. Let's say it was crunchy. Please do yourself a favor and neverrrr order here, first off the service was horrible the guys working there have horrible attitudes like I get it , if you don't like your job than quit. Don't take it out on the customers because you work with chicken all day. Second the food was so skimpy I had to search for the meat, move rice around and all that. I'm BIG on Customer Service...I pull up and the drive thru like is out the driveway...which isn't surprising for this location. I figure hmm I'll do better with going in...I park and has I approach the door a guy yells out we're closed inside. Hmm no problem I get back in my car, and as I'm about to pull off, another woman pulls up and exits her car, I ask her if she had placed an order she said no, I figured I'd share with her that the dining area was closed, she thanked me followed by leaving. She didn't bother getting in the drive thru line. Wait let me back up...as I'm approaching the door I notice the Health Score is a B. That stuck with me...so as I place my order I inquire with the employee as to whom is taking the orders. He indicates that the B grade due to the temperature on the refrigerators being too low. Okay...I think to myself with some hesitation...I hope that is in fact the case...I'm going to proceed with my order which was the Pollo Saltado. Upon approaching the window the guy who identified himself as Enrique seems to be rather rushy. As I hand him my card to pay he asks for my identification, I'm baffled by such as this is a FIRST occurrence and I've visited this location rather routinely. So he makes the comment I need my job. Okay I get it...but if this is the practice then it needs to be consistent. So prior to proceeding with my payment I share with him I'd like to provide him with my contact number in order to accumulate points for their rewards incentive program before you know he's handing me my receipt and requesting that I sign. Wait just a minute...I just shared with this guy that I needed to provide him with my contact number for the rewards incentive program. His respond is I'm the only one working the line, write your number down and I'll be sure to add it later. I'm sorry...I didn't fall short on informing you of such prior to paying nor did I come short on providing you with my identification card...that you need in order to keep your job. Slow down and don't be so eager to rush on to the next customer as you tend to loose out on providing great customer service. So as a customer I took a loss because of course no points were accumulated for this visit. Not to mention there were other employees present that should have been able to be of assistance with ensuring the line was maintained at a steady flow. Just a suggestion once the dining area closes, it would be great practice to have a sign present within the drive thru area in order for customers to be made aware that the dining area is closed...as small things go a long way. read more

The food was actually okay, but going to Inka Express seems to have been designed to be an unannounced, not so subliminal experience to blaring Latino reggaetón music and gang culture. The only reason I come here is for the food. The service is terrible. This male cashier tried to force me to pay with a card because he didn't want to give me change. He stated it was a busy night for him. After I told him I didn't have any credit or debit card on me he gave me a funny look and then refused to give me soups that come with my meal. Mr. Inka, I've been eating at your restaurant/s since location number one on 154th/hawthorne. I KNOW the quality of your food. Ive moved to Glendale and find excuses to drive all the way down to hawthorne to eat either at location 1,2 or 3(drive thru). The drive through was a brilliant idea. I was there couple times a week when it first opened. I remember the quality of the food, the amount of food you get for what you pay, and the short drive thru line to get amazing food...Last few times I've been to Inka express I've been quite disappointed. Going based on only "lomo saltado ". 1st,The chicken soup you get with the meal had either 0 chicken or shred of it. 2nd the quality of the meat was rubbery not like the tender, juicy meat you used before and tasteless. 3rd, most importantly is your cilantro sauce....I used to use a fork to scoop some and put it into my plate, today i HAD to use a spoon because the consistancy of it was watery.....please don't tell me you guys are now watering down your amazing sauce that was so thick in consistency before?!?!noooo please don't do that...watered down sauces are a HUGE minus for any restaurant/s. Just because you have longer lines please don't loose your recipe , originality of your food...and sauces. Who knows maybe you just had employees half-assing.....there are people who eat to live, and then there are people who live to eat....we can tell the difference This still won't stop me from eating at your restaurants just some friendly advice:) read more
