I came in today during their busy time. It was obvious they were busy but the staff seemed to be friendly to everyone including myself. I order the chicken because it was recommend. The chicken did take a while to come but that was understandable because they were busy. The chicken was delicious and worth the wait. I have been a few times now. So far the quality of the food compared to the actual restaurant is really subpar. Also, the past few times I've shown up I was told there wasn't any soup left for the day. That was disappointing. This time the lady fails to tell me while I'm ordering and I find out right as I pay after waiting 30 min in line. In response, I asked to substitute the soup for some plantains or some rice if the plantains couldn't be done. She rejects both substitutions and only offers extra sauce for my two orders. After she hand me my order I politely say thank you despite not getting what I entirely wanted. However, she didn't even acknowledge my thank you and completely ignored me. When I get home, and each cup was below half full. I am extremely disappointed and I won't be coming back to this location. You are better off going to the restaurant instead. read more

I really love this place! We drive all the way from Woodland Hills for their chicken and lomo saltado. The same owners as El Pollo Inka, but I think Pollo Inka Express has even better food, and cheaper too. Their chicken and beef is so tender and tasty, whenever we make the drive we always get lots of extra food to last a couple days. Wish they'd open a franchise in the valley. I do keep trying to find a closer place for the chicken and lomo saltado and I can't. We went to a Peruvian restaurant yesterday close to home, more expensive, but doesn't compare to the taste of their food. I'm hooked! read more

I'm really disappointed with this place, I ordered through the drive thru, I asked for two meals with two chicken breast and extra hot sauce. After waiting for a few minutes I finally got my order, I even had it repeated to me as I payed. Once I got home I look at my food and I got two thighs with one sauce. Really? I had to wait 20 minutes for the extremely undecided family who was in front of me,to make up their mind and order. When I finally ordered my meal to go , it took another 35 minutes to get into my hands. When I complain to the chubby cashier girl who was assisting first the drive-thru window she started to argue with me that the fish it takes more time to cook then the other meals. Waiting for my carry out order that we called in. Showed up to pick it up and it never went through. Love the food but this place has gone downhill with all the errors. Come here all the time, food is delicious but today there was a hair in my food. I called to let them know because I was completely disgusted and threw it away. The "manager" told me as an apology they can refund my money but they needed a picture as proof. This place has really gone downhill. I really don't like leaving bad reviews but my hope is that someone in management sees this and does something about it. The service is not always great and I have now had more negative experiences than positive ones. The workers once mixed up my order with someone else and treated me as if I was the one that made a mistake. I received no apology and ended up waiting 30 minutes to get my food. The food is often bland, the soup is never consistent and the fries taste as they were heated in a microwave. This is not okay. This restaurant is sometimes great and I know that Its not their intention to serve a bad meal but I should never have to wonder if my food is going to taste good. Pretty good food. Ordered the 1/2 chicken with three sides for $6.99. Plantains and cilantro rice are amazing! The drive thru line is always long. Small location but the AC is always on inside, even at night. It was freezing like hell frozen on there and we asked if they would turn it off because it was like an icebox in there. When this place first opened, the food was PHENOMENAL. But, I'd say for the past half year, their food quality has suffered. I'm not sure if it's a new cook or recipe, but it's so oily and orange now? And the meat is truly more hit than miss, every time I've gone it's fatty or chewy. Not to mention the prices have gone up, even though the quality has gone down.
