Love their chicken burritos! Literally, one day coming home from work, El Pollo Mobile, which was on the way there. I was sitting at a red light and they were cooking the chicken outside their restaurant and you can see and smell them cooking & smoking chicken right from the street in your car! It was around 3pm after a long day at work, and the smoked chicken smelled sooo good. I took away one star because sometimes in my chicken burrito I will get these little, sometimes sharp, bones with the meat. I would hate if someone swallowed them. This place is nearby my place of work. In the afternoon whilst going home I always see the chicken charbroiling in the grill; the smoke and scents in the air always made me suspire in delight. Opting to give them a try and well, well, well... their chicken is as good as it smells! Haha Then I also noticed that they have more than chicken but I haven't try anything else just yet but, as far as the chicken I will certainly vouch for the good flavor it has. After a long day of traveling, this was our first stop to eat on our way to check into the hotel. We love hole in the wall restaurants or mom and pop shops as they are always the best plus we could smell the chicken being cooked. I give this place 3 stars simply because when we walked in, we were NOT greeted at all. We were greeted with the cashier just staring at us with a smug face, when she noticed we weren't ready she scuffed and went back to talking to the workers in the back. Her face looked as if she was tired of us waiting or even to talk with us, funny how a family comes in after us and she goes crazy greeting them in Spanish all loud and happy. Fun fact, my Spanish isn't the greatest but I could get by. If a language barrier was the reason for awkwardness or tension, I would understand but her English was great. I honestly do not know why she didn't even greet us, she only responded when we greeted her and only thing she asked was if we were ready. We ordered our food, asada fries and waited. The food was good, we have had better and have had worse but it was good, nothing to go crazy over. The only reason I am giving this 3 stars is just the attitude from the beginning. She never said a word to us, it made walking in there unpleasant and uncomfortable. As we were walking out, my husband said out loud thank you to which her voice and demeanor changed, went to bright and happy and she said you're welcome. I love the chicken in here... today wasn't that good but I love just the chicken from here. The cashier wasn't that nice and the first thing pump up on the credit card device was tip .... TIP???? What's the reason if when I got here I had to wait forever to have someone take mi order. And then no even a "hello" I didn't understand the combos and she gave face without explaining how that works ... not helpful at all. This cashier has a carly hair, earplugs on and a grumpy face . Waste of time! Spent an hr in traffic to get here today 08.21.19 for them to tell me at the cashiers desk that they "ran out" of the only thing they specialize in...Chicken! I always get the Wednesday Special and tried this new location instead of the one near Cheyenne. Yet there's a grill full of chicken outside and one person sitting inside eating!
