Food: Tasty and affordable. French toast was fluffy in the middle and crispy on the outside (just how I like it), sausage was tasty without having to be too salty and the eggs, well they were eggs but there is nothing wrong with that. Coffee was most acceptable as well. (Boysenberry) Pie was super tasty and not too sweet, I wish it had been a little warmer though but that could be the ice cream's fault (yum). Service: Super friendly! Showed up on Christmas Eve 2025 and everyone was dressed festively and didn't look upset at all about having to work this morning which I find extra delightful. Ambiance: As advertised! Cozy and inviting for singles, couples, friends and/or families. Two birthday celebrations while there and it was fun to see them walk out with the special treat then sing their song.

I went to another Polly's and had a good experience so I went here for breakfast today since I was in the area. The parking lot is sketchy but inside the restaurant is nice and clean with a totally different vibe than outside. I ordered the Country breakfast special so I could try their biscuits and gravy. It was just OK. The gravy didn't taste homemade. The biscuits were soft bread-like mounds. The eggs were a soft scramble. The fresh fruit cup was delicious strawberries perfectly cut and large green grapes on top of canned peach pieces. The service was excellent and so was the price (value) since their approx $10 breakfasts also come with coffee. I will be back but it won't be for the gravy :-(

I bought a Lemon Meringue pie to bring home this evening. When I ate a slice at home, the meringue layer tasted underbaked, with the egg white still tasting raw. I promptly called the restaurant and asked if I could return the pie and exchange it for a different one. They were very accommodating and apologetic about the quality of the meringue. I went ahead and paid the $3 difference to get an Apple Crisp pie instead. After all these years, this is the first time I had been disappointed with a pie at Polly's. I'm sure this was just a one-off. They still remain as my go-to for pies.

Ambiance - family style restaurant. I really liked their wall decors and the homey ambiance. Service - was excellent. Our server checked on us often and answered all our questions regarding the menu. Food - I had the prime rib sandwich and my hubby had the cheesesteak plate. My sandwich had lots of caramelized onions which I loved and packed with thin slices of prime rib. My hubby's cheesesteak was dry, hard and tasteless. It came with corn bread (soft and delicious but did not have the grit you usually get and had no corn) and mashed potatoes which was good. I had a choice of French fries or Cole slaw and opted for the latter. I did not like the Cole slaw at all. It tasted old, like it has been sitting in the fridge for a long time. We ended our meal with a boysenberry pie which was delicious. The crust was flaky. They have the best pies.

This Polly's is actually the very first location established in 1968. It's attached to a strip mall with a grocery store at one end. I've never seen one like this before. Inside it's nice and big with two unisex restrooms. I love their burgers and sandwiches. You can have your meal as a combo option too, that includes a slice of pie. Along with pies, they also bake huge cinnamon rolls. We had to get one of those too! You definitely can't leave without a Polly's dessert.

Upgrading my rating from two to four stars. I was contacted by management to give them another shot and I took the fam and they didn't disappoint. The food quality looked to of improved and service has never been an issue. Love the ambiance here and hope they stay doing well in business. Will be back!

The kiddo and I ended up at Polly's Pies in Fullerton today because she was performing just down the way in her barbershop quartet, and we had some time to kill between shows. And really--what better way to fill a gap in the schedule than with food someone else cooked? We both went for the Lunch 'n' Munch special, which sounds like a Saturday morning cartoon but thankfully delivers real adult sustenance. We each had the Comeback Chicken Sandwich with a side, drink, and cookie. I got extra pickles like a civilized human; the kid got none because she's still young and hasn't discovered the true meaning of flavor. She sipped a strawberry lemonade, I stuck with a Diet Coke, and we congratulated ourselves on our excellent life choices. The food? Surprisingly good--actually good--especially considering my previous Montebello experience, which felt more like a plot twist. The cookie, however... Let's talk. It wasn't terrible, but it definitely lacked that homemade magic. A snickerdoodle should show up warm, with crunchy edges, a soft center, and an aroma that whispers "your diet starts tomorrow." This one was more "packaged at the speed of efficiency" than "baked by someone who cares." A missed chance for cookie glory. Of course, we still grabbed a four-pack of blueberry muffins on the way out, because clearly we cope with waiting-between-shows by hoarding baked goods. The place was clean and quiet, the staff was friendly, and the whole experience felt like Polly's saying, "Hey, forget Montebello--we're the cool sibling." So, final verdict? Polly's in Fullerton has officially staged its comeback tour. Now if they could just tweak the cookies, they'd go from "pretty good" to "grand finale encore."

This place is a gem. I just found out accidentally on the way home. Love the pie! So delicious! Can't wait to try out more pies. The food is not bad. But pies are really good- I mean very good! God bless us all! Numbers 6:24-26 "The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace." Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Visiting Polly's pies for breakfast was a great first time experience. Janet was amazing. She was friendly and attentive. Our breakfast came to the table promptly and still hot. I had the prime rib skillet. It was one of the best I've had at any diner. I enjoyed their Mango tea with a side of biscuit and jam. The restaurant seemed that it is kept clean and spacious. I would love to come back for lunch next time.

Polly's Pies is the same feel type of a country style American diner as compared to Marie Calendars or Carrows. I do prefer Polly's Pies because of the much larger variety of food options and bigger portions. Also, they serve complimentary homemade corn bread while you wait for your food! My party and I came on a Sunday night and there wasn't too many patrons. We got seated right away. I love the fact that they have the Oktoberfest seasonal menu - because I missed good ole German food. I ordered the pork Schnitzel. The food came out in roughly 15 mins and it was well worth the wait. It was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside, yum! We also ordered chicken tenders but it wasn't as good. It was not as crispy and dry on the inside. Don't forget to get a slice of pie if you have room! Banana cream pie is my go to!

    French Toast Combo

When you walk in the place smells like cinnamon. For Christmas my dad and I got the French toast special. The service is five stars. Our waitress was super friendly. The ambience is very cute.

The rice was only $2 which is rlly nice. the ribeye was ordered medium rare and come out perfectly. While the center of the ribeye was lacking a little flavor and the crust wasnt the best, the cap of the ribeye was cooked beautifully and actually tasted very good. I've had many steaks while dining and this was the first steak to be cooked so evenly, and have flavor without overseasoning. The sleeper item of this whole meal however was the mash potatoes. extremely creamy, smooth, and rich. we also ordered the calamari as an appetizer (pictured not included) and the sauce was good, the calamari itself was okay in terms of taste, but the presentation was unique. it was the first time ive ever had to cut up my own calamari. scissors were given with the dish, and instead of the typical rings, it was more like whole squids fried up.

For example, the cottage cut (seven ounces) costs $39 instead of $59 on Wednesdays. Despite the pricy menu items, the food quality, service, and ambience make for an excellent opportunity to celebrate a special occasion. Firstly, we ordered the seaside sampler for four as an appetizer. This included Chesapeake Bay-style crab cakes, chilled Mexican prawns, and ahi sashimi. I enjoyed the ahi sashimi the most as the large and fresh slices had a nice sear with a savory seasoning on the edges. The crab cakes tasted great and filling with a dill horseradish aioli as the menu listed. While I didn't try the prawns, my mom enjoyed those the most as they had a slightly sweet flavor. I did enjoy the cocktail sauce. Secondly, I ordered the cottage cut, which included seven ounces of roasted prime rib, creamed corn au gratin, creamed spinach, and a Yorkshire popover. The cut tasted lovely at medium rare as it had a soft texture and good balance of meat and fat. I appreciated that my mom got an especially thick cut of prime rib. Seven ounces feels just right for me given that the entree includes other sides. The creamed corn au gratin tasted a little sweet without an overwhelming flavor. I liked how the creamed spinach had a similar taste. A Yorkshire popover has an airy texture with a buttery and eggy taste. Au jus and horseradish butter elevated the prime rib. Thirdly, we had an English trifle for dessert. The menu says that the trifle consists of cake layers soaked with rum and brandy, including English custard, strawberries, Chantilly cream, and caramelized sliced almonds. It had a uniquely sweet flavor due to the soaking, and the almonds provided some crunch. I found the dessert tasty. I found the staff polite, friendly, and professional. Our server disclosed the discounts on their prime rib cuts and listed their prices. She also mentioned other featured entrees in detail. The staff also consistently refilled my water glass. We also had the opportunity to ask another staff member for olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette for our baked bread. He came back and made a little small talk, fondly reminiscing how his former restaurant would serve the same sauces with their bread. My mom also got a birthday card with a printed message and signatures from the staff. The restaurant provided a simply elegant ambience. While entering the indoor seating area, we passed an exhibition kitchen and table displaying various desserts. Customers generally wore semi-formal clothing, and the restaurant recommends business-casual attire. A pianist played various songs and tunes to make for a fancy yet calm atmosphere. I especially enjoyed how the pianist played "Clair de lune." It felt nice to experience a rare moment of hearing classical music played inside a restaurant.
