My daughter gave me a gift card to Polo Steak & Sea for my birthday, so my wife and I finally had an excuse to check it out. I'm happy to say it did not disappoint. We grabbed seats at the bar so we could explore the menu and cocktail list. If you enjoy wine or spirits, prepare to be impressed. Their selection is absolutely massive. I kicked things off with the Spicy Smoked Old Fashioned. Garnished with a cinnamon stick and dried apple slice, it had a warm holiday feel but was delicious enough to enjoy any time of year. For appetizers, we shared the Calamari Fries, and they were outstanding. We also tried the Beauty and the Beast sushi roll. The flavors were excellent, although the nori was a little chewier than I prefer. For our entrée, we split the Seafood Fra Diavola, and it was the highlight of the evening. The seafood was fresh, the sauce was rich and flavorful, and it had just the right amount of heat without overpowering the dish. To finish, we shared a huge slice of Key Lime Pie, which was the perfect ending to a great meal. Overall, Polo Steak & Sea delivered a memorable dining experience with creative cocktails, an incredible wine and spirits selection, and excellent food. Thanks to my daughter for the birthday gift! Very elegant steakhouse. Ambiance dark wood, stylish, and cozy. Service was excellent by our waiter Jaison. Food was overpriced, but expected in an upscale restaurant like this. We opted to go with seafood, Salmon was $39 and Snapper was $52. Cilantro rice and a guacamole and small tomatoes mix also. Served hot and nice portion. For dessert we shared a key lime round shaped tart with raspberry sauce. Overall, pleasant and expensive evening. Was given a $20 voucher for next time. Probably won't be a next time. Great dinner at Polo. We had a couple cocktails, apps, and dinner. The ahi tuna stack was a great app. The French onion soup was also good. Steak cooked perfectly. The lobster pot pie was different but great. Our server was great too. All around a great time. Minus the wind outside. We had arrived for our reservation for a Saturday night celebrating my wife's birthday. The place was empty. There was one waiter at the time, which was plenty for the two tables he waited on. We were told by the greeter that the waiter for the table we requested was not in yet and were told to wait (in an empty restaurant for our table). We sat at the bar. While at the bar, the other servers and staff that had nothing to do, hung around the bar clearly complaining about the other guests in the restaurant; they were not even trying to hide it. The greeter finally had this great idea to have the one waiter that was waiting tables to wait on us at the table we requested. After that strange experience, the food and server were good. Then came the waiter's attempt to sing happy birthday to my wife over dessert by calling her "Mr. Customer" whilst singing the happy birthday song. I'd also like to point out that the bathrooms smell. We've been here before and that has not changed: same sewer problem smell. read more

We reserved a table for our 32nd anniversary two weeks prior to our planned dinner. We responded to the texts and emails requesting confirmation. I received a call from the restaurant an hour and a half prior to our dinner to inform me that a larger party had booked a table and that we were no longer guaranteed a table. they might have an outside table available. Our reservation was for June 20th when it was over 90 degrees with thunder storms passing thru. We live over an hour from the restaurant and were enroute. Visited Vero from Boynton Beach for a staycation. I've always liked Vero due to the fact that one of my clients purchased a home out there so I became familiar with the area and said I was going to make a trip back. Spent the weekend at the Disney beach resort and I loved it ended up getting dinner at Polo Sea & Steak. 10/10! I got with mashed potatoes also I'm not sure what appetizer that was that they brought out, but it was so amazing.! It was some sort of chip pita chip with a dip and they brought it out complementary. My boyfriend got steak and mashed potatoes which was also 10 out of 10 our sides were the carrots which were nice and sweet and the brussels sprouts. I definitely will be visiting Vero from time to time. It's such a quiet nice escape from West Palm Beach and it's not too far I love it there. read more

This was the worst service we have ever experienced in vero. Our reservation was at 6:15. It is now 8:08 and we are still waiting for our dinner. So unless you have a lot of time to sit and wait, I do not recommend this restaurant. We finally got our food. Steaks were fatty. Sushi was pretty good. French onion soup was horrible. The waitress brought us more drinks which we did not want. We would have preferred a free entree. The manager never came over to apologize. A well run restaurant would have done this. read more

When we dined in, it was not busy at all. The salads would be better if they used house made dressing. The plating is a little messy, and they could take more time to clean up the plates before bringing them out. My seafood saute was thrown into the bowl, and there was sauce all over it when they brought it to the table. The steak presentation was much better. The food overall was good. The salad was terrible because of the gummy Ranch dressing. The seafood Sautee was really delicious (and gluten-free). There was a nice amount ( and variety) of seafood in it, and it was well seasoned. The steak with the potatoes was the best dish overall. Oysters were ok. Our visit was nice, our waitress was also nice, the overall restaurant looks very nice inside and they have a large outdoor area. I would recommend coming here, it looks like a fun time when it is busy and full of life. read more

My hubby and I celebrated my birthday at Polo Steak and Sea last night. It was by far the best dinner we've had in Vero. We had a quiet table in the back. Our server, Chris, was phenomenal. He was attentive, made great suggestions and let us take our time. The manager, Steven, checked in on us several times. Their new sommeliar, Ackee, was very helfpul in choosing a wine that would complement both of our meals. The food was fantastic. I started with the lobster bisque, which was delicious. Hubby started with sashimi trio. He thoroughly enjoyed his prime New York Strip which was cooked to perfection. I don't eat meat, but did have a bite of his truffled mashed potatoes which were the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. I had the seafood pasta which was also phenomenal. The lobster was a little tricky to get out of the shell, but the sauce was so good that I licked my fingers clean since we were at a table in the back ;-). Dined here in March 2025, have heard good things about it. My wife and I only had sushi, so that's all I can speak about. Wife had the Flamevine roll, I had the Ocean Drive roll and the Beachland roll which looked pretty similar and definitely tasted quite similar. Quality of the sushi rolls was decent, but not fantastic. My two rolls are 18 dollars each, but the size is pretty small, same for my wife's Flamevine roll. Overall, a very underwhelming experience. Go to any sushi spot in town and you will get better quality and quantity. It is a steak and sea menu, which I get, the steaks are VERY expensive, but after seeing the sushi they serve up I would never really try out their steaks. read more

we dined at polo steak and seafood tonight . our waitress dumped two drinks on our daughter which was a mistake but the reaction by the manager and staff is just inexcusable . we jumped up and said we wanted a different table , we walked to the front and waited , the hostess finally came up and said oh I thought you left ??? What ?? I asked do you want us to leave? They stated us at another table . The hostess asked if our daughter needed a towel ( she said yes ) we never got the towel . We ordered . Ate and never had the manager approach us . How is this a high end establishment and the manager doesn't come to apologize ?? Not acceptable . We will not dine there again . Dined the day after Christmas and it was not a good experience. Steaks were overly fatty and overdone. The fish special was not available but we didn't find out until the server brought our other dinners out so one group member had no meal. Service was poor slow and insulting. Server told us we looked "stuffed" when we passed on dessert. Not sure if she was calling us overweight. Had a previous good experience so this was very disappointing. We recently celebrated Easter with dinner at Polo Steak & Sea in Vero Beach. Everyone and everything was amazing! Our server was Chris and he was assisted by Aleesha, Jacob and Steven. They were attentive without hovering and so knowledgeable about the extensive wine list and menu. I ordered the filet mignon and my husband had the strip steak. Both were cooked perfectly and the accompanying mashed potatoes were out of this world. Since calories don't count on Easter, we had the Chocolate Balloon for dessert. Picture a balloon made out of chocolate with chocolate mousse, fresh whipped cream, blueberries and strawberries filling the inside. Talk about a perfect ending to a perfect meal!!!!!! Classic steakhouse vibe indoors. I might opt yo sit outside for a different vibe, if the weather permits. The booths inside are connected and the people on the other side of us moved around so much, it was literally making us sick ! We asked the hostess if we could be moved, but she never came back to move us. Besides that, the menu is great because it has so many options. I also love that they give you a free starter. It's some kind of cheese dip with flatbread, and it was very tasty, while we looked over the menu, I ordered the beet salad with burrata, and it was excellent! I definitely recommend this. My husband started with the wedge salad but doesn't recommend it. He didn't like the fact that it had bacon bits instead of real bacon and little cherry tomatoes instead of beefsteak tomatoes. My mother-in-law had the salad with strawberries & gorgonzola and enjoyed it. I had the pan seared chillean seabass with miso glaze , asparagus and basmati rice and it was delicious! I will get this again. My husband had the steak and did not like it at all. I tasted a bite of his filet, and agreed. It had a very strange texture and did not taste good, which is surprising for a steakhouse. Keep in mind we are find diners and go to high-end steakhouses often, so the steak here may be fine for most (?) my mother-in-law didn't want a full dinner, so she ordered the tenderloin appetizer, and a "add to your steak " lobster tail . She said she has had the Australian lamb chop there before and liked it. We were there celebrating her 89th birthday, and they were very generous with a huge slice of carrot cake and sang to her. I'm not normally a fan of cake, unless it's chocolate, but this carrot cake was so delicious! I think I ate most of it. Lol, it was really good. Our waiter "Uor" was very friendly and helpful,too . They have a great wine selection, bottles AND by the glass. They had our favorite, Caymus Cabernet, so we enjoyed that. My husband said if we go back, he would try the duck. My first time here and it certainly won't be my last! A nearly perfect outside dining experience from start to finish largely because I was with the love of my life! We arrived early at 5:30pm for dinner on the terrace and it was already packed...at 5:30? Yes, it's Florida--there are a lot of old people! The tables were spaced apart in keeping with the strictest Covid guidelines, and we felt quite comfortable with that. We started with a couple of cocktails before looking at menus...no rush. When we were ready, we ordered a Chopped Salad and a Salmon Ceviche to start and both were delicious. We then had the Wild Mushroon Ravioli which turned out to be the standout of the evening. The truffle oil over it made this dish amazing. We also has roasted Brussels Sprouts and a 16-oz ribeye. BUT....a word about those.,,,the Brussels sprouts were dusted with some spice I did not care for, and it destroyed the taste, so that was a disappointment; and the ribeye, well it was cooked perfectly to my liking, but unfortunately this "prime" cut was mostly fat and gristle. Maybe 6-oz of meat and 10-oz of fat. Now, I have dined on dozens of ribeyes in my lifetime and I understand the "marbling" quality of ribeye, but this was the worst cut of beef I've ever had...(sorry!) it's true. A grilled mass of fat. I didn't let that ruin an otherwise wonderful dinner (never bothered mention it to the waiter). We enjoyed the experience and our drinks and bottle of wine, but we left without dessert or coffee, and went elsewhere. It's probably worth going back to Polo Grill, but I'll never order a steak from them again....and they really need to lose that magenta lighting! read more

Our meals were exceptional as well as our server, Bryan. He made our experience enjoyable as true fine dining should be. The meal started out with complementary Lavash crackers with pimento cheese dip - delicious! Our appetizers were the Oysters Rockefeller (6) and Shrimp Cocktail (4). The oysters were fresh and the shrimp were perfectly boiled and seasoned. The sushi rolls were wrapped tightly and the ingredients fresh as well. The petite filet was delicious and tender and melted in our mouths. The accompanying lobster tail was huge and cooked to perfection. We had no room for dessert but ordered the Bourbon Bread Pudding and Chocolate Bowl to go. We can't wait to try them later. You get what you pay for and that certainly held true here tonight. 100% satisfied with our dining experience. read more

We went for our first time to celebrate our 27th Wedding Anniversary. I could write so much about this new favorite place for us. From the moment we walked in after making reservations days prior, everything was GREAT. Our waiter Urs was amazing! He went above and beyond to make our experience a perfect one. We are fairly new to Vero Beach, about 3 years now. We are used to great cuisines from all over the world. This place exceeded my expectations. From the complimentary tid bit we were served to our tapas/appetizers and then my main course the petit filet mignon, there was not one thing that was not absolutely DELICIOUS. My steak was cooked to a level of perfection I have never had before in my life. I was prepared and cooked by Chef Jennifer, I was told after raving about it. It just literally melted in my mouth. To the perfectly cooked caramelized carrots. They had a wonderful bite to them, not over cooked like most places do. I must not forget to mention my cocktail drink, the Cienfuegos. It was absolutely delicious, as well. Let me not forget to mention the extremely friendly and professional Owner, William Brown, who was gracious enough to come to our table to meet us after our meal. He is of Cuban ancestry, as I am. We had a nice conversation about our background and how much I had enjoyed our meal. The ambiance was also a ten for us. POLO Grill gave us a PERFECT evening all together. This is something I don't usually experience anywhere really, very few times has our dining experience been of such a level, especially here in Vero Beach. We will definitely make this place OUR new to go to place for any future special occasions. We made a reservation for 4 and few hours before time, 2 in the party turned not well so we had to call and cancel the reservation. Since my wife and I still need to eat so we came and asked for an outside seating table. The environment was nice, quite different outside than inside. Maybe we will try inside seating next time. The waiter was quite friendly and accommodating to our requests. We had a pleasant meal (it had been a couple of months so don't remember exactly what we had). We were walking around Vero on Valentine's Day without reservations for dinner. We stopped into Polo expecting to be out of luck but pleasantly surprised that the tables on the covered sidewalk were open for walk-ins so we chose a seat. It was a beautiful evening but a bit windy which didn't concern us. We ate light: onion soup for each of us which was the best onion soup ever. A wedge salad for me and sushi for hubs. Both were great. The highlight of our meal was our waitress Jennifer. After a few visits to our table she confessed that we were her first table after training but we would have never suspected that. She was pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable and genuinely portrayed that she liked people and her job. Great job Jennifer! Recommend Polo for the food and staff. read more

Very Disappointed! Eat there twice in three weeks. Ordered their skirt steak. Marginally just average. Tasteless. Just ate there last night. Ordered their Wagyu chop. Should have asked the price. Normally I do. Conveniently Michelle at the bar never told me the price. I got the bill-$125.00! Wow! Quality was not worth the price. Felt ripped off.
