Here we go again!! In order to be a "World flavor seeker" I must find my soul... I really wanted to give this place 5 star. This is my 3rd time coming over and there's always a small and particular flaw. Food is mostly good!! I really like their pancakes, some of the best in my opinion. Place is small so if you come with a party of 5 expect to wait a good 45-130 mins. Staff is friendly but sometimes forgetful!! This is my absolute favorite breakfast place in Westchester. We come here EVERY Sunday with our 2-year-old. The staff is wonderful - Sue, Junior and the rest are beyond sweet and know what you order. They run a busy place with ease and a smile. The specials are my fav! All the Mexican ones are to die for!!! Chef is from Mexico so they taste super authentic. Off we went - over and over again. This place was so amazing that it's become our one and only breakfast go to spot. The service is amazing. Everyone is friendly and they get to know you. You can tell that Pondfield is a big part of the neighborhood. They greet everyone that comes in, asks about their kids or work or anything because they truly know their customers. Oh, I forgot, their food is incredible! They have daily breakfast and lunch specials from Mexican to Californian omelets to adorably delicious chocolate chip silver dollar pancakes. You know you're gonna get an amazing meal when the place is only open a few hours each day. They are open on Thursday evenings for dinner which I have yet to make it to! The hosts and staff are friendly and know how to run this type of joint where the people wait in line for good old comfort fare and ethnic specials likely invented by the hard- working cooks, hustling to get the food out to the never-ending line of customers. Yes, the parking is difficult to find, and on the weekends you will wait after writing down your name in the fast-moving list. But it is all worth it. Much, much better than a diner or deli and one is never rushed or made to feel like they're hurrying to get your table turned. This is hands-down one of the best diners I've been to in my life. Been coming here for a long time and have never had a bad meal. When they have them, their Mexican breakfast specials (huevos rancheros, huevos ahogados) are some of the best breakfasts I've had. Cool little Diner nestled in a beautiful section of West Yonkers, NY. It's a diner where everyone seems to know everyone else. Good food. Small space. Took Mom there for Mothers day breakfast. The Mancakes (Pancakes with Crispy Bacon inside of the batter.) are awesome. The Omlettes are pretty good too. The coffee is good. Fast service. Really loud banging and clanging of cookwear going on while people try to talk over it. Oh, and to get to the restroom, one must make their way past the kitchen area.
