On my visit I started with one of my favorites being the Tom Kha soup, this time with tofu. It was delicious with the nice coconut and lemongrass aromatics. I liked the broccoli, mushrooms, and other veggies in it as well. Given it was my first time here, I think the Pad Thai was the choice to go with and it was also really delicious. I chose the beef and it was tender and soft; as it should be. Spices and flavors on point as well as everything else just as expected. The venue itself is on a busy road, but once inside it's calm and the ambience more akin to a small dinner, which made it better on my option. This allowed to get great service, not any long waiting time, and wonderful food. As an add on, very central to many other locations. Lake Eola is you like walking after. This is one of our favorite Thai places. Never had a bad experience here. We all get the same dishes, red chicken curry, yellow chicken curry, mussaman chicken curry, chicken pad Thai & won ton soup. The soup has great flavor with basil, cilantro and fried garlic in the broth. My red curry I ordered hot and they delivered on it. My fams spice level was perfect to them. The pad Thai was flavorful and enjoy the bean sprouts. Don't see them as much. My youngest granddaughter love the sauce from the curry's so we cover her rice with them. She even tried mine hot. If there's one thing my wife, all of our friends, and I can agree on, it's Pop Thai! It just always sounds good. It's fun to go to the restaurant, but it also holds up well as take-out. The service at the restaurant is always fantastic, friendly, and efficient. The spring rolls are so yummy, even my wife who doesn't usually like spring rolls loves them. I have tried a few different entrees, and although everything has been excellent, I always come back to my favorite, the garlic pepper with tofu. This place has a wealth of vegetarian options, and is very vegan-friendly as well, as they are happy to remove eggs from dishes at your request. Let me start by saying the Pop Thai fried rice was an absolute 5/5! I would keep coming back just to have this rice it was that good! We went out with some friends for dinner and arrived at the restaurant on a Saturday around 6 p.m. The place was surprisingly empty, which allowed us to sit wherever we liked. The duck was one of the best duck dishes I've ever had; it wasn't gamey and was perfectly cooked. The skin was super crispy too. My husband ordered his Drunken Noodles spicy and it definitely had a kick. He really enjoyed it. They were also rolling out their sushi menu, so my cousin ordered a sushi roll (not too sure which one, but it had fried chicken and curried imitation crab topping) and said it was yummy. Their sushi menu seemed pretty good; a lot of signature rolls with some standard sushi offerings. I dunno if they would compare to a restaurant that specializes in sushi, but I felt the quality was decent. Overall, I'd definitely add Pop Thai to my regular rotation of restaurants. A friend and I went here on Friday night to celebrate my birthday and recent promotion since I was craving thai food. Got here around 5:30 and luckily there was one parking spot left for me (you know how small the lots are in the mills50 area). Went inside and was seated immediately. The ambiance is really calm and nice - music is at a good level, noise is average. When the server came, I ordered a house salad with ginger dressing (first picture) - loved the presentation be it was unlike what I'm used to seeing in similar restaurants. The drunken noodles were incredible! Noodles were buttery, melt-in-your-mouth soft. Paired really well with the vegetables and chicken. My friend had their pad thai dish and also said it was great. Everything time I go to Pop Thai the service is quick and accommodating. We've usually gone in a group of 10ppl or more and they seat us fast, wait time is never more than 30min. The food is great! I got the Penang curry! Flavorful and large portion. Only giving 3 stars because I was disappointed in the lack of integrity. I ordered pickup online (during lunchtime) and the price was $13.95. When I arrived at the restaurant (during lunch time) the same exact meal on their menu was $10.95. I asked the employee about the discrepancy and asked for a refund of the difference and although she was kind she said it wasn't possible that online prices are different. Which makes no sense. This place is located right off of Mills, parking is usually a struggle in this area but at the time I went, I was able to quickly find a spot in the back of the building. On to the food; it's quick, fresh and delicious. I ordered the Wonton Soup to start and the Hot Basil Chicken for my entree. The soup is simple and flavorful, filled with spinach, cilantro, green onions, subtle bits of garlic and tender wontons . It also came out piping hot which I love. The Hot Basil Chicken (I ordered mine mild) was also delicious; I love the boldness of the Basil. There's also an underlying sweetness to the sauce. The chicken is tender and the veggies are perfectly sautéed and packed with flavor. It came with white rice in the shape of a heart (I'm a sucker for presentation). Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. Overall, I would definitely recommend for a quick Thai fix. The menu isn't extensive but there are still a good selection of items. Love this new spot on Mills downtown! We usually frequent Little Saigon a few blocks away but it was late so my husband did a quick u-turn into Pop Thai and the adventure began! We're very particular about our Thai cuisine but this place really measured up. The food was super tasty. We tried a few different rolls, and each one was tastier than the other. The fried rice was very good as well. I like the fact that we have several options here in the city and this one does not disappoint. My go-to Thai spot in Orlando! I've dined at numerous Thai restaurants in Orlando and Pop Thai always comes out as the victor. My favorite curries are the panang & green. They are creamy, flavorful and perfectly cooked veggies (peppers, zucchini & carrot) are mixed in. I always get the crispy duck with the curry. It's the best combo you can get! For noods, I always go back & forth between the pad thai & the drunken noodles. The portions are quite generous and the flavors are beautiful. For the noodles I normally choose chicken, but last time I choose the fried tofu & veggies and now I don't think I will go back to chicken! If you have room for dessert, try the mango & sticky coconut rice. Fresh mango & coconut sticky rice with drizzled condensed milk. Food tasted like heated up frozen food. Service less than attentive. Very nice but no where I be found. Clear noodle with chicken. Enough chicken and noodle texture good on BUT no non zero taste. Had to put on soy sauce to give it a lift. Carrots were done well and tasted like carrots. Tune sushi $14.95. Very little tuna and very small pieces of sushi. Again no non zero taste. The crispy noodles atop were fantastic. The mixed appetizer tasted like warmed up frozen food with the same texture as warmed up frozen food. Presentation was beautiful but it stops there.
