Food took about 30 minutes to get! However, the food was at least freshly made and tasted as such. Nothing tastes better than freshly fried chicken! I ordered the 8 piece combo family meal. It was fine expect they gave us all dark meat. I was expecting 2 pieces of each, but we got 4 legs and 4 thighs. I wouldn't mind if the price reflected the dark meat combo - as it's usually cheaper than combos with Breasts. The chicken sandwich was decent, as were the seasoned fries. The biscuit was good, better than KFC. The cinnamon apple pies were amazing and a must buy! The outter crust/shell reminds me of a crispy churro. This is a stall inside a food court and the ambiance is that of a food court. The chicken tenders today, 1. They using different style breast meat cuts, it's not the usual tender thin slices with extra crisp. It reminds me of chunky tough chicken breast with no seasoning and barely any breading like you might get at a small pizza shop. The chicken wings were crispy, cooked thru but no flavor at all. I am having trouble getting the people working here to pay attention to what I am ordering when I order from this place. I have been there three times since my last review of this location and all three times there was an issue. The first two times I was again given white meat when I requested dark meat and then this past weekend when I was there they did not give me the correct side item. Instead of the mashed potatoes that I ordered they gave me fries. The counter help was nice enough on my last visit and the chicken was tasty but I really need my orders put together correctly when I order my stuff. Two stars though for the very good tasting chicken and the friendly counter help. I do think that this place is capable of good service but they just need to work on giving customers exactly what they order. read more

The pick up station is very clear as there's a large sign to distinguish between pick up and order now. We ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and 4 piece chicken (white - breast and wing). Savage sidenote: Staff from Chicken Now looked longingly across the court as the line at Popeye's never got shorter, while they carnival barked passers-by to try their similar offering. I felt bad. But not bad enough, as Popeye's has always been a personal fave in the fast food realm, and this unsung jewel is still shadowed enough to avoid the no-sandwich riots of 2019. The chicken is hot, juicy and with that signature Popeye's crunch. Hopeful sidenote: Oh my, Chicken Now finally got a customer! Good for them. I'm not entirely sold of the fanaticism behind the sandwich, however it is very tasty and easily situated in the Popeyes canon. Located up in the food court in the South Shore Plaza, the offerings are same as the Westgate restaurant. Mild and spicy chicken. All the sides and those wonderful biscuits. Look man, it's fast food in a mall food court that hands you a sandwich before you have time to swipe your card. The bar isn't set very high. Still, there was a surprising line of people at this place, and I can see why. I went in for one of those famous chicken sandwiches people have been fighting each other over. On the one hand I kind of get it, on the other I would give the sandwich to someone before they started to wind up their fist. I've had plenty of fried chicken in my life, some of it much better than this. What's important to remember though, is that this is fast food. Comparing Popeye's to a sit-down restaurant is not really a fair comparison. Especially with this being fast food, they have a lot of things doing for that little sandwich. First and foremost, the chicken itself. For something that spent some time under a lamp, it was surprisingly moist on the inside and the crust hadn't gone soggy! The seasoning level and sauce was good, and the size was respectable too. That also comes with the added benefit of the bread and chicken being in a great balance. Not a bad value either considering the size of chicken you get in for four bucks. Okay, so why only four stars: First, while the pickles are, no doubt, a nice touch, I would have liked just a little bit more. I'm a little bit of a stickler when it comes to consistency. if you're going to add pickle, make most bites get some taste of it. Second, while I have higher than average heat tolerance, I found the spicy sandwich not to be very spicy. I ordered a simple spicy chicken breast but it really was not spicy at all so I think they screwd up the one order that they had which was me the only one in line. The entire staff looked miserable from the kitchen to the front of the house and they did not make me feel welcome at all. The guy at the cash register was really upbeat and made us feel like we were dining at a 5 star restaurant. When I asked him if he recommended the jumbo shrimp he said with a big grin, "it'd be a shame not to get them". I'm just saying, if someone asked me the same question I would have responded with "yeah, I guess?". I love that the chicken is super tender and comes off the bones so easily. I love that on every piece of chicken (including the jumbo shrimp), the skin is super crunchy without being oily. I personally love dark meat. If you want super juicy meat, then go for dark meat. Over the summer I used the app, place the food order before my friends who were in line yet somehow I received my order eat after them. Alright, I thought this was just a weird one time fluke, their system is slow. So Tuesday 12/15/20, I placed two orders for pick up at 5:10 & 5:15 PM, wanted to treat my father in law, brother and friend for helping me lift the water heater out of the basement. My wife went to go pick it up and still had to get in line for them to print out the ticket. What is the point of offering as scheduled pick up if you still have to get in line?? The mobile pick up sign is useless. I'm not sure if this only happens with this specific location but be warned, don't bother using the app to order. read more

In order to leave a feedback, I have to choose at least one star. This one star is for the free parking at South Shore Plaza mall. The manager/the person in charge(the Indian guy?) was not nice at all. First of all, he deliberately gave me a hard time when I was trying to use my mobil app to place an order with a coupon in the app. He said that they don't accept mobile coupon but would only did it for me this time. Also they never put any utensils, sauce or napkins in the bag. You have to request them on your own. How can a restaurant decide to only give napkins to customers upon request?! Other than this problem, the manager gave me a piece of chicken breast while I ordered a 2 piece chicken thigh and wing. He was laughing with his fellow employees when I asked him to fix my order...although he did gave me back the chicken thigh. But the laughing is totally unacceptable and unprofessional with today's customer service. I really hope they replace that manager or close the restaurant soon. They've got noses fully exposed breathing all over the food before handing it to you, while working in a food court where the hundreds of people cycling in and out already aren't wearing masks because they're eating.
