I love this Postal Annex. I know it's so random to like a mailing place but they are pretty nice here. They don't ignore you and they try to help when you look lost in their small store. They have a lot of random items to sell as well, from Hello Kitty items to postcards to keychains. I feel they have these items all over the place so you can add them as last minute gifts to add to the package you're sending. read more

The owner is a lier and a piece of crap! He made me make my shipment for $123 saying my package was going to make it within 2 days to the destination while showing me all other options that were load more expensive. My package never got there on time! A week later and it had not got there. When I went back to talk to him, he would not even talk to me and denied he ever had this conversation with when my email confirms what he denied. I do not know where he is from but he does not understand at all what customer service means and not lying to people. Unbelievable. If he had told me even once my package might get there in two days I would never pay that much money. Make sure he does not take your card information. He cannot be trusted. read more

I try not to write negative reviews, especially during the pandemic. However, this place has terrible customer service, they are greedy, and the owner and woman who run the store are unethical. For a newly managed and owned small business I would expect better. I've had two poor experiences. Most recently (today) I called them to see how much scanning costs. The young woman I spoke to was friendly and explained that it would be a 2 dollar service fee and 25 cents per page. I went in and the woman who works there in her mid to late 40's charged me four service fees instead of one service fee. I explained how this was not correct and gave evidence that it should only be one service fee. She never once went over charges prior and I had cover pages to separate the four documents. Instead she decided to make the store extra money by claiming that each document was a service fee. I was charged 8 dollars for 4 documents that had cover pages to separate them, all going to the same email address. I nicely explained how this did not make sense and asked for a refund and she said no and rudely argued with me about something she was clearly wrong about. This was not my first bad experience there. I will be calling my credit card company to refute the charges. Choose another location! This is no way to treat customers, especially repeat customers. I'm sure the owner will reply with a fake message to make an amends on yelp for public image, however, he can save it! He was right there watching the whole time and he thinks super highly of himself. read more

Went here b/c it was conveniently close to where I was staying while on vacation. I had two keys made that did not work. Returned the next day and the same young clerk "helped" me. Again, the keys didn't fit! Needless to say I was frustrated and asked for a refund. Do not get your keys duplicated here! What a waste of time!! read more

This is MUCH better than the one on Governor Drive nearby!!! Strangely, the scales on the one on Governor seemed to weigh boxes about 1/2 lb heavier, also?! (Doesn't government inspect scales? Maybe only at butchers? Doesn't PostalAnnex make sure scales are accurate at their locations?! Also, the one on Governor charges way more for same boxes - more than the difference in scales would account for. Also , I want to backup some of the other positive reviews, especially those regarding Ciera - she is always cheerful, and super competent - able to serve multiple customers simultaneously, without any of them feeling that they are being slighted! read more

I shipped a brand-new $1000 computer through this shipper. Along with several items, I paid close to $700 to ship to Michigan. The computer was destroyed in the shipment--amazingly, even parts of the computer which had been machine-bolted into the motherboard was dislodged and *shredded* into pieces. After weeks of calling and going back and forth trying to resolve the issue, both UPS and Postal Annex denied the claim, leaving me without any compensation for time or money lost to this inanity. I highly recommend that you avoid this place if you're planning on shipping large and valuable items as they will not help you resolve any issues that come up. In preparation to a response from the store, as a customer, by asking you, the shipper, to ship something, one can only assume that your team will ensure the items are packed well with fragile labels placed on boxes and that any and all precautions will be made to ensure safe arrival of said items, esp. when the cost to ship is over 600$. Despite indicating that the item was fragile and a computer and should be treated as such, no fragile labels were placed on box and the expectation that I must supervise the entire shipment process to ensure this is done is, frankly, insulting. read more

I loved that there were no lines once they open! The lady helped me out with a package I had to send. The thing I loved the most was there was a screen showing exactly what she was inputting & after she was done she asked kindly to double check if the addresses were right. I even got to see all the package prices & when it will arrive to it's destination. Everything took just 5minutes! I even expected the worst since other's reviews about the lines. I doubt I'd mind it since the customer service here was excellent. I'm a happy customer. Also, it's a plus that it's in a Ralph's grocery store. read more

Totally pleased that the store has reopened, under new ownership. As the previous reviewer mentioned, the new owner (Camil) is extremely service-oriented -- always looking for ways to make things better and more convenient for his customers. Unlike the previous reviewer, I did have to go through the hassle of changing mailboxes -- but was thrilled to discover that my old mailbox hadn't been sold out from under me. Camil went out of his way to be accommodating, calling me to introduce himself (and letting me know I had an accumulation of mail), even extending my box rental for three months at no charge. I have found him at all times to be polite, professional and on the ball. If you've read my other reviews, you know I look at what's the overall experience of doing business with a place. The experience and the vibe at this Postal Annex is outstanding. I have gone ahead and rented my box through the rest of 2010 and will more than likely be switching it back permanently at the end of the year. I'm pretty much in here almost everyday because I run my own business and have packages to ship out all the time. Everyone here is extremely friendly and laid back. It's never busy here so you can get in and out quickly. They always print out my shipping labels for me for no extra charge and even allow me to use their tape to seal my packages without any hassle. Thank you guys for being so awesome :) Oh and most important, I have never had any issues with my packages being lost (knock on wood) read more

Not a reliable place to have your mail sent. It hours of operation are not the one's he has "posted".It's when ever they feel like it and when u try to get help from the corporate office they have no idea either! The owner is unable to pay rent but will rent a box to u and take your money knowing this and is unavailable to resolve this issue let alone put your mail or accept your packages in your box if u need a mailbox to rent get one from the post office or the postal annex on Governor its cheaper and reliable! read more

The women who was "helping" me was really no help at all - after telling me the box size I chose wouldn't work, went into the back and literally grabbed the same sized box. Then, as I was in the middle of asking her a question she walked away and said she'd be right back, began helping other people and never came back. So rude. So unhelpful. The only reason they got two stars is bc they still were somehow able to mail my package. read more

We went here yesterday morning with a pile of paperwork needing to be notarized and mailed internationally. The staff member--I believe her name is Ciera--was exceptionally helpful, helping us get everything sorted out. She was friendly and very professional, and as the only person staffing the store, managed to assist other customers while efficiently getting everything taken care of for us. We'll definitely go back here next time we need a notary or mailing assistance. read more

Sorry to have to give 1-star because I think the staff at this location is excellent. Friendly and efficient, love the people. But the ownership of this store needs to STOP representing that they can make duplicate keys ... because every time I've tried recently, the keys I take home do not fit. So the entire process -- wait at the store for the keys to be made, go home to try them, return to the store to return them -- wastes at least 45 minutes of time. So OBVIOUSLY the machine doesn't work. PLEASE stop purporting to duplicate keys so not to inconvenience your customers over and over again. This is a little thing, but it keeps happening over and over again and sours my experience at the store. read more

I visited this store for a passport photo. I needed one for my Japanese passport, which has very strict guidelines for the size measured in millimeters. I brought the paper sample that shows these measurement and showed it to the lady at the counter. She didn't even look at the measurements and just asked me to stand in a back of the store that was poorly lit. She charged me for the photo and when I looked at the finished product, it was completely wrong. I didn't even have to measure it to see that it was not to the strict guidelines, not to mention the dark color since there was no light. It looked like a bad mugshot. She kept saying that she doesn't have a tool to measure it and she can only "guess" the measurements when she's taking the photo. It was just bunch of excuses and when I asked for my money back, said that she wasted her time and money doing this!!! She should've looked at the guideline document to make sure she can do this photo to the exact specification. POOR service, very bad attitude. I was so angry when I left the store. Don't go there for passport photo. They don't know what they're doing. read more

I was visiting last month (from North Carolina to San Diego), my mom who was very ill and subsequently passed. Twice I had stopped off at this PostalAnnex location, once to get some papers notarized and then shipped 2nd day back to North Carolina, and then 2 weeks later to ship back to Norh Carolina two very large heavy boxes, and a very old family table that needed to be custom packed. Both times this location went above and beyond with their excellent customer service. My bank, Wells Fargo didn't even have a notary! They were the one who recommended this Postal Annex location and I was so glad they did. Their staff is extremely knowlegable and they work with you in finding the best method/rates to ship your items, and extra services like Notary Public, as well as great office supplies, whimiscal gifts, and their UPS shipping services. When I called to see if they could ship the table for me, I wasn't sure how I was even going to get it to them, and they even offered to come and pick up my items to ship! I really appreciated Camil and his great staff there for all they did in getting my shipments back to North Carolina. They arrived there a day ahead of schedule and everything was delivered in excellent condition. I recommend this full service store! read more
