My husband and I came in on Presidents' Day without a reservation but was seated right away. The amuse-bouche was very very salty and the bread obviously just came out of the refrigerator. Service was fine, not great. My husband has a nut allergy and no one in the restaurant can tell us if the bread was made with any nuts and a pistachio macaron was given to us at the end of the meal knowingly. My braised buffalo short ribs over chard and mashed potatoes were excellent. The pork chop was over cooked. Truffle fries were good. Overall, not what is expected for the Waldorf Astoria. read more

Loved everything from reception to dessert!!! Our server, Kirsten, was genuinely attentive and knowledgeable! She offered us activities to do for our trip as well! Talk about above and beyond! My husband was a bit ill and the bar tender made a great concussion of whiskey and honey too! The Roasted Organic Chicken and Wagyu Steak were both very flavorful. This was such a great meal (again!) This time we had a big group of 7 and sat in the back at a giant table. Several of us ordered the tasting menu which did not disappoint. Wow - total winner. The service is excellent. If you like whiskey, I recommend the Smash Whiskey. Everything we ate was excellent and super high quality. The charcuterie board was seriously the best I have ever had. Incredible cheeses and great assortment of meats. The kids menu is crazy good as well. The roasted chicken might be the best kids dish ever - only a chef that loves his kids could have thought of it. I'm coming back!!! read more

Had breakfast here while staying at the Waldorf. We were pleasantly surprised! Yes, the food is expensive, but it was very good. Loved the fresh berries and eggs Benedict. This is the only upscale restaurant in the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. The food is a bit pricy but the service is excellent. This is one of the few places in Park City that regularly serves Elk Chop. I highly recommend it as I posted a picture of the entree. The tasting menu has three courses for 45 dollars with the option of wine pairing for 22 dollars more. It is a good choice to consider if you don't have a huge appetite. read more

For a hotel as amazing as the Waldorf-Astoria, you'd expect an equally excellent restaurant. However, Powder will disappoint you. Cocktails are very tasty, but, the food was not fresh tasting, the menu offerings were very limited to mostly overly salted amd fried food and red meat, despite branding itself as "a healthy choice", the orders were made wrong twice (once for breakfast and once for lunch), something you wouldn't expect when the service is perfect in the hotel. Waldorf-Astoria would be smart to start all over again with the place and create am entirely new menu (maybe one to go with the fresh and healthy theme the spa projects). Stay away unless there is no other choice or you just want some yummy late night cocktails or deserts. read more

We have been coming to Powder ( since it was Spruce) ... 2010. And for some reason the quality has been clearly deteriorating since 2014. Food is not bad, but for the location and price is should be memorable, not just OK. The service, ambience, and food was spectacular. If you're looking for a nice brunch spot with a pretty mountain view you've come to the right place. I would definitely recommend the skiers brunch with had many items to choose from but smoked salmon, shrimp cocktail, and French toast and berries were among my favorite. They offered us to-go coffees as well which was a nice touch. This is a nice place to celebrate a special occasion. read more

Service is very friendly, but tends to be slow. Staff really could not have been nicer. Everything just took longer than it should have. Turning to the food....it was excellent. Waiter raved about the inventiveness of both the food and cocktail menus and everything we ordered tasted like a watered down version of something that might have been delicious with a more skilled chef/bartender at the helm. Atmosphere was nothing special and it was rather loud, despite not being crowded. Had to ask waiter several times for basic items. Pasta was good, but not for the price. Bar itself was pretty. Manuel and the rest of the staff went above and beyond when my Mother wasn't feeling well and just wanted some chicken broth, which wasn't on the menu - chicken soup wasn't even on the menu - yet the chef whipped up some custom-made broth just for her. These people will do anything to please you, the food is great, the atmosphere is awesome, the service is helpful and never pretentious,..definitely a top-shelf operation all the way around. Ambience is 5-starts. Staff politeness 4-stars. Service needed improvement. Cocktails were very bland. Started with "The Egg", which was creative and good. The little gem salad was also tasty. However the kale caesar dressing was way below average and the mushroom paparadelle was fair. The extra $20 we splurged for the black truffle shaving was not worth it. While the location is amazing, the service and food leave a lot to be desired given the caliber of the hotel and pricing. For $40 a plate, we would have had a better experience at Stein Eriksen. The waiter began by cracking an offensive joke about our last name being foreign. I can understand the difficulty in pronouncing a foreign last name, but it's never good form to begin an interaction this way. Next the waiter brought out the wrong drink and still charged us for it on the bill. It was like he just wasn't listening to us. Our main courses had zero seasoning, absolutely no salt or pepper. Steak does not taste that great when cooked without seasoning. The main course coupled with the service completely overshadowed the pork belly appetizer and oysters. Overall, this was a disappointing experience and we will not be back any time soon. read more

I go to Powder all the time for Apres Ski. It is easy to get to and not nearly as crowded as Deer valley hotels. The service is definitely not their strong suit, always slow but their bar menu is great. I think the charcuterie platter is OK and over-priced, but I love their burger, short rib spring rolls and the truffle fries are a must have! They also do S'mores every night which is a great touch when you have the kids! read more

This weekend my fiancée and I had an overnight stay at the Waldorf Astoria in park city. The whole tone for the trip was set the minute we walked in and were given cocktail cards by the concierge the two of us generally don't drink so we were so pleased to see that they had 2 virgin cocktail options for us which we had never seen before. We ordered one of each and they were incredible one had a Ginger Mexican coke cherry mix and the other was a blackberry lime and mint combo we really couldn't decide which one we liked better. More places should really think of doing this. While we were drinking our mocktails we looked over the bar bites menu and everything sounded incredible but we had already made dinner reservations elsewhere so we decided we would go for breakfast the next morning and it was the best decision we have ever made there breakfast is to die for. We got the spinach avocado Benedict, the fresh berry pancakes and there house potatoes alongside the complimentary breakfast pastries. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful we didn't want it to end and we slightly regretted not eating here for dinner the night prior. The service both times was flawless as well the manager Ryan took amazing care of us and helped make our stay that much more special. We are planning our next overnight stay at the Waldorf just so we can eat at powder! read more

A friend highly touted this as a great lunch. We had a group of 6 for a late lunch with wine/champagne. After being seated, the waitress showed up 30 minutes later after we requested someone to serve us. Apparently she was looking for a water pitcher?? Food was good, not great. Our lunch, due to the belated service, lasted over 2 hours. We split the bill 3 ways (3 couples) but the server failed to advise us that a 20% tip was already included and failed to indicate on our individual charge. Granted, the menu indicated that on parties of 6 tip is included. Generally a restaurant of this presumed status would advise the diners as well. And after dining, the valet on a mid Sunday afternoon was a total cluster. Parked cars unattended etc in the portico. We waited 20 minutes for our car and for no apparent reason. No guests departing, etc. After we returned home, one of our party texted me that they had been charged for the entire bill - $320 or so. i called to speak with the restaurant manager to express my concerns. He said he would "make it right", assuming he would get back to me with an offer to revisit. This was over a month ago and nothing. Anyway, a very bad experience and with so many dining experiences in Park City, why deal with an expensive and "bush league" dining experience at the Waldorf. read more

Check your reservations! My ma (a veteran Park City visitor and Sundance volunteer) called two weeks prior (you can't go online) and made a reservation for my family for Christmas week. We arrive to find that they have no reservation on file and cannot accommodate us. After somewhat being accused of not making one (!!?), they gave us a glass of wine while we looked for an alternative restaurant. We found one on our own, but the staff of the restaurant/hotel were NOT helpful. I hate to fault them for what appeared to be one employees mistake, but they were so rude and not helpful after their mistake. They kept suggesting the Hyatt. It was so disrespectful, especially to my mom who has been dining in this city for years. Never going back here, and I advise people to either skip altogether or double (triple?) check their reservation. It's the Seinfeld bit brought to life - you know how to TAKE the reservation, but you don't know how to KEEP the reservation. And that's really the most important part of a reservation! I don't plan on giving them money after being treated so poorly. read more

I went to Powder three times during my business trip and there was a reason for my visit. The Waldorf Astoria is a high end establishment, but the personnel do not rest on the name alone to provide customer service. The bartender (and I wish I got her name) was pleasant and attended to me with consistent high end customer service. I had the fortune to becoming acquainted with the F&B supervisor, Shivan. Not only was he personable and easy to talk to, he ensured I was being attended to with my food and drinks. That personal service alone may not seem remarkable, but he did this even when the establishment was busy. I observed him provide the same high level of customer service to other patrons. As someone who works in the hospitality industry, I recognized that he has the skills and personality to do well in the industry, and Hilton should be grateful to have such a attentive individual on their payroll. read more
