Waffles - banana foster ! Yikes
    Sanny C.

Wanted to try this place when it was called, Vaca. Didn't get the chance to. Was near the area and wanted breakfast. Found this place and realized that it was VAca. Same owner just renamed. My nephew got the steak & eggs. I got the Banana foster waffles. We also got a house coffee & a strawberry matcha. The matcha was ok. My nephew enjoyed it, but I thought it was mid. House coffee was ok. Just reg coffee with sugar and cream. Steak & eggs were good. The steaks looked kind of dry, but it was pretty tasty. Juicy and tender. The banana foster waffles looked pretty at first glance. Then my next thought was oh nooo...why drenched in so much sauces...like I m aware that banana foster means sauce over the waffles. I just didn't think it would be that much sauces. I was worried that it would be too sweet. Yup! It was supaaaa sweet. The sauce was good..not gonna lie. I tried to eat more than one, but just couldn't handle it. When the server came to check on us. I expressed my concern. She was nice and informed the manager of my issue. The manager came and resolved the issue. I would enjoy the waffles more if it had a bit of a crunch to it. Great customer service. Nice seating Clean Amazing ac!!! Thank you!! Overall, I enjoyed the visit. Don't mind returning =]

Saw this on TikTok and decided to give it a try. My friend and I arrive around 10:30am and it was already packed! We wait about 20 minutes but the have umbrellas outside so you can wait in the shade. The inside and outside the restaurant was decorated with bright colors and showcased Mexico culture throughout. The waitress that served us was nice and gave some great recommendations since this was our first time! The food came around the same time and the portions were big. Looking forward to my next visit to try something new. Enchiladas with green sauce: - 7/10 - green sauce was the perfect balance and not too spicy Huevos Rancheros: - 7.5/10 - prefect crunch and egg was cooked perfectly and the toppings tied it all together - the potatoes need flavor and I wish it was crunchy - I wish there were hot sauce to put onto of the potatoes

Tried this spot after seeing on tic tok and yelp. DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS SPOT!! Imma start with the drinks. Cafe de olla was muy delicioso- perfect balance of sweet and cafecito. All three frappes were perfect (gansito one was a tad sweeter). The oat horchata con matcha was hands down one of the best I've had!! The food was perfection. The huevos rancheros with pork belly had me seeing stars. The pork belly literally melted in my mouth. The salsa was savory and the frijoles were perfection. The brisket omlete was very good - only recommendation would be to have the meat cut up in smaller pieces. The burger was cooked exactly how my son loves it. The brisket skillet was filling and the added chili oil kicked it to the next level. My daught gave the fresas con crema waffles two thumbs up. Lastly is the chocolate and banana licuado. Buenisimo!! Refreshing and hits the spot perfectly- you feel like you are a kid again. Nostalgia for the win!! Our server was Saleen and she was so helpful in recommending the perfect dishes. She was attentive and friendly. If we could take her to all of our restaurants, that would be fantastic. The restaurant is a smaller spot and the wait was about 30 min. There is a 90 min max for dining. The small touches in the restaurant give it a homey, quaint feeling of comfort. One of the cayootest and best touches was the words in the lights. We will definitely be back to try more options and have another horchata con matcha!!

They said 45 minute wait but we only waited about 10 mins ‍ The service and food was really good. However we did have to wait a very long time to get our check and some boxes to take our leftovers to go. I actually had to flag our server down after too long of a wait. Book in advance through open table recommended.

There was little to no wait when I came, which was nice. The service was friendly and fast. The food was full of flavor but their protein servings are really small for the price you pay. Worth the try.

    Green juice & matcha

This was my first time at Pradera Brunch. The location caught me off guard, it's a really nice spot but not in the nicest area. Right outside were people who seemed to be in an altered state. Once we were inside, the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. The menu has a lot of range so there's something for everyone. You can choose from Mexican breakfast, American breakfast, burgers, tacos etc... They also have a ton of drink options like juice, frappe, matcha, coffee. Drinks: I started with the green juice that was freshly squeezed and perfectly balanced. My friend got a matcha latte at half sweetness level, and it was still wayyy too sweet. What we ordered: My friend ordered the chilaquiles and added asada. They only offer red or green sauce and we went with green which was bright and delicious. I really like that you can add different proteins to basically any dish on the menu. I got the Tabla Campestre, which came with flat iron steak, chorizo, chile relleno, guac, roasted peppers, beans, and salsa. Portions were generous, but the steak came out well done. I realized they never asked how we wanted it prepared, but I should've said something, lesson learned for next time. Overall, the service, ambiance, and food were all good. But in my opinion, Girasol in Monrovia still has the best Mexican brunch!

A perfect brunch spot to start mom's birthday. I arrived earlier than my party to reserve a table for seven expecting a longer wait time, though to my amazement there was already one available. The hostess, servers, and every employee for that matter, were very polite, greeting us upon arrival while also thanking us upon leaving. The menu was diverse but focused, specializing in traditional Mexican breakfast like chilaquiles and other American classics like pancakes. My table ordered three orders of chilaquiles and one birria plate, and everyone was thoroughly pleased with their choices. I especially loved where we were seated under the cherry blossom tree, away from the rest of the dining area in the center of the room. I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking for a new brunch spot, for its friendly employees and the delicious food made it an enjoyable experience.

    Ahi Tuna Tostada
    Sherry T.

Great brunch place with friends. Clean spacious restaurant, good for groups and friendly staff. They don't take reservations so be prepared to wait. First time having Horchata Iced Matcha and it was really good. It wasn't very sweet and had great matcha flavor. I liked my Ahi Tuna Tostada. I wasn't sure what to expect but gave it try since I like ahi tuna. It was actually yummy. The tuna was packed with flavor and it was more of a tartare. The red chili sauce was good, it wasn't spicy at all. It was more sweet than anything else. If you're looking for a good brunch place, then give this place a try.

Came here around noon on a Sunday and there was about a 30-35 minute wait, but it was absolutely worth it! We started with the chicharrón and guacamole, and it ended up being my favorite part of the meal. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful--I could've kept eating it all day. For drinks, we ordered the matcha and a frappé, and they were almost too cute to drink! I love aesthetically made drinks, and these definitely delivered both in presentation and taste. I was craving chilaquiles, so I ordered the birria chilaquiles. They were delicious, and the portion was huge! It came with so much birria that I still had leftovers to take home. Personally, I prefer the red sauce over the green, but that's just my preference. Overall, the food, drinks, and atmosphere made the wait completely worth it. I definitely want to come back and try more of the menu!

Atmosphere is nice. This place used to called Vaca Brunch when I last came. Anyways, it's upgraded some to a more brunch type vibe. Service is 6/10. We just got off a 4-day cruise so we're not dressed up. I felt like that's maybe why.. but regardless. The $49 steak was a flop. Lots of fat and the steak is very low quality especially for the hefty price. 5.5/10 Drinks (banana and marzapan) were 10/10. Delicious. Marzapan French toast 4/10. The French toast was dry inside and still somehow very soggy. Bean and cheese appritizer 7/10. The cheeses were cold and some of it looked old.

I think my dad had the lengua and it came with fresh handmade tortillas. He's a bit picky but he devoured it.
    Claudia S.

Brunching with my dad and the pup so we took the outside seating which is very nice. Inside ambience and decor is slightly modern yet cozy. I liked their dinnerware. Great food presentation. The green chilaquiles were just how I like them, crunchy, mild, and hot. Our waitress was very pleasant although she forgot a few items, she corrected the issue with no hassle. Will definitely return! Plenty of parking although it can get busy. I hear it is especially busy on the weekends and waiting time can exceed an hour. We visited during the week and did not have to wait at all.

Strawberry matcha latte and fresas con crema Pancakes
    Taylor W.

Visited Pradera brunch for breakfast and the food was so good. I had the strawberry iced matcha latte and Fresca con cream pancakes. It was pretty packed and we got our food quick. The restaurant was clean and decorated very pretty. I would definitely go again.

Daisy the absolute best service! I've been here twice, and both times the food, drinks and service did not disappoint! Portions are great. Dishes are flavorful. Drinks in a bag is a must! It's in a convenient shopping center, with plenty of parking. Both indoor and outdoor seating. The music they were playing in the morning set the tone for our day. Great playlist! This has become our go to breakfast place.

Someone has spent a lot of time creating such a detailed space. I'm not into anime, Pokémon, or fighting card games, but I still enjoyed seeing everything. I ordered the blueberry matcha. As the worker was making it, I noticed they used a matcha whisk. It was fresh, not from a squeeze bottle or premade, which made me happy. I feel that when matcha is made fresh it tastes better and more care goes into the drink and the craft. I will say the cold foams were in a squeeze bottle and premade. The worker said they're made fresh daily, which does add some comfort, but I still prefer them made to order. Anyway, I received my drink and gave it a taste. The matcha itself was very good--nicely blended and refreshing. I could taste the blueberry nicely. I believe the oat milk enhances the flavor and gives it more depth. Next time I'll try some of their food. This review is solely for the blueberry matcha.

The entire place has a cozy, welcoming vibe and feels like somewhere you could easily spend a few hours. They have board games, cards, books, and plenty of seating, making it a great spot to relax, study, or hang out with friends. The service was wonderful. We usually prefer hot coffee drinks at night, and the barista was kind enough to make both of our drinks hot even though they're typically served cold. I ordered the Haise Coffee (horchata with espresso doppio), and my boyfriend had the Chocolate Abuelita Latte. Both were rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. We also lucked out and got the last slice of their Cookie Butter Cheesecake, which was a perfect sweet treat to go with our drinks. Great coffee, great atmosphere, and genuinely friendly service. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. Highly recommend if you're looking for a coffee shop with personality and a fun twist.

Severely overrated, omg. Wife and I came in for a sandwich…read moreand boy was this place underwhelming. First red flag we noticed is that they use Lavazza machines for their coffee drinks. Lavazza might as well be the sugary gimmicks Starbucks can pull off on their best days. You're paying for the name, not the quality of your drinks. Next red flag was the counters behind the 'baristas.' They were stocked with buckets of sugary ingredients like some store bought cookie butter stacked on top of some other store bought 'dubai' butter. That seemed a bit unsanitary and, frankly, kinda sloppy. Last red flag were the sad, sauce-soaked paninis we got. In fact, they were probably the worst paninis we've ever had. Our chicken chipotle avocado panini was drenched in what clearly tasted like store-bought chipotle sauce and the chicken just tasted like reheated chopped breasts (I mean I wouldn't blame them, they're a cafe, not a kitchen.) The mango habanero panini was even worse in that it was more drenched in what also tasted like store-bought habanero sauce, making the panini a dripping mess. But the choice of using what tasted like candied dried mango slices in the sandwich was awful. The flavors just did not marry and it's likely because this is what happens when you have a great idea, but use crap and cheap ingredients to craft something. Maybe they are better known for some other dishes, but the fact that they use store-bought sauces on their sandwiches is pretty tacky. Overall, this place is all hype and no heart. Just a steady flow of clout-chasing customers akin to those that frequent Starbucks as part of a lifestyle. Don't fall for the hype. It's okay to not like something that the masses do.
