We were fortune to have landed a table within 5 mins of arriving but I did hear the waitress tell other guests that it was 1hr+ wait. Originally tried their Tejuino at The Baldwin Park Summer Night Market. Tejuino was $8. It was actually pretty good but the cup was small and it was about 75% ice 25% liquid. Finished the Tejuino in about 5 sips. Why am I paying $8 for a cup that's basically ice? Unbelievable! Charging $8 for a beverage that is mainly ice is pure insanity and comes off as incredibly stingy and definitely rubs people the wrong way. A couple of months later, I was invited to a company event and they were hosting lunch here. My invite and I ordered the Smoked Brisket Benedict and Certified Angus Steak Tacos. The Smoked Brisket Benedict was absolutely gross. The only thing decent about that dish was the side of country potatoes. The brisket was incredibly greasy, tough, and very fatty. The brisket barely had any decent meat on it to chew. The eggs had a disgusting taste and were not cooked well enough. The Angus Steak Tacos had absolutely no flavor. In the picture I took, they look pretty and fancy but what's the point of something looking beautiful if it's incredibly bland? I had to ask the waitresses for some chile sauce or any type of dressing they had available because it was incredibly difficult swallowing down these dry and flavorless tacos. If you're all about posting aesthetic food pics on Instagram and don't care much about flavor, then this place is for you. I won't deny they've got the decor, creativity, and presentation of their restaurant down, but what's the point of this if the flavor of the food is lacking and needs work? They really should put more time and energy into creating tastier food instead of focusing on aesthetics and decorations. What was received was not even close and if I'm being honest, toasted Eggo waffles would have been better. Instead of being light and crispy, they were soggy and limp--like they'd been sitting out or microwaved. The waffles came with absolutely nothing- not even syrup. Only thing is that I wish it was spicier. Tres leches pancakes: 9.5/10 OMG. Legit BEST pancakes I have ever had!!! Moist, fluffy, and slightly chewy, kind of like a mochi pancake. This is a must try!!! -0.5 just because there wasn't enough of the tres leches sauce on the plate, but I would order this again. I don't think they have an alcohol license yet, so unfortunately couldn't have a boozy brunch. Definitely recommend giving this place a try! For sure will be back to try out other menu items.
