I called Precision garage door after I noticed that my garage door is not opening due to broken spring. It was Sunday morning and will be holiday on Monday the next day. I was expecting to schedule service for Tuesday but they were able to send someone on that Sunday. The technician Anthony came around 3 hours after my call. Anthony was very professional, knows what he is doing and explained what the service will entail. He even install a new garage keypad outside. There was no haggling in prices and even gave me a discount for being AAA member. Anthony also recommended to think about replacing the rollers before it totally worn out. I called Precision, which I found via Yelp, to see if they could evaluate and fix my broken garage door. Mitch P reviewed the garage door and recommended that we replace broken springs and that the door would be good to go once they were replaced. He charged me $500 to replace the springs (over priced, I know, but I just wanted my door fixed). After the springs were installed the door still not did not shut properly due to the door buckling, which I had clearly pointed out to him prior. He told me the buckling was worse than he thought and that I'd need a new door to completely fix the issue. Prior to the install, he didn't say anything about potentially needing a new door or that the buckling on the door could be problematic. Had I known there was any chance this wouldn't work I would not have paid for over priced garage springs. So....I paid $500 for new springs, that didn't solve my problem, and that I won't be able to re-use on a new door. Completely useless and he took advantage of me to sell me something I didn't need. It was predatory, fraudulent and incompetent. I've since had 3 other companies come out to take a look and they all were in shock Precision recommended to put in new springs when the door was in such bad shape. I was clearly ripped off and the other professionals agreed. I thought that by going with a brand name company I'd be safe from this non-sense, but that was definitely not my experience. -------------- Update 9/9/23 : the owner responded to my comment asking to call him to investigate further (as he does with every other bad Yelp review, with the same copy/paste message) I called the number, got a voice mail, left my contact info and have not heard back. It's been 3 days. If anyone sees those responses from the owner on other reviews, know that it has not led to any action from my experience. I purchased a $2,500+ garage door from Precision. There was miscommunication and numerous delays leading up to installation of the door. Due to the numerous delays, the company offered to provide some upgrades to the initial door to make up for the mishaps and to keep my business. One of the upgrades was a steel back insulated door. After Precision installed the initial door with the upgrades, I noticed discoloration, scratches, and defects such as the warped windows you can see in the photos (looks even worse in person). When I brought these issues to their attention, they agreed to provide a replacement door. When they arrived to install the replacement door (months later), I noticed the door did not have the steel back insulation, so I told their service technician not to install the door because it did not have the upgrades the company initially promised to provide. After several weeks of trying to contact the reps in their office, Olga and Tonya, they indicated the replacement door would not have the upgrades provided with the initial door they installed because I didn't purchase that kind of door. Ultimately, they decided they would downgrade my door because they didn't do the job right the first time. I purchased this door in January 2022 and am still dealing with this company due to their poor workmanship. The experience has been a nightmare. read more

Within 1 minutes of looking at our garage door he was able to determine several issues that needed IMMEDIATE attention. I was looking for maintenance for an annoying squeaky noise but ended up with a recommendation to change out several parts for close to a $$$grand. Today I received an upgrade on my previous motor. Bishop replaced it with a better quality. He did an excellent job with renewing all the parts & also replacing the wheels. The motor has a built in camera I thought that was a very cool feature. He explained very patiently how everything works. He installed new wall units for entering the codes. Scheduled a service call between 8am and 12pm. Received email confirmation. Took the morning off work. Called Precision at 11:40 am to confirm someone was still coming. Yes, they will be there by noon. At 12:15 I called again and was told they rescheduled my appointment to 2:30-6:00. Beware Customer Service is Poor After the Service is Performed We had them service our garage doors twice in the last 18 months with the most recent service in August. I did all the recommended repairs and service and now my garage door belt is broken. Customer service told me twice they would have a manger call me (Victor) but no phone call back. My concern is they should have noticed the wear on the belt in August and made the recommendation for replacement when they were here. No one can tell me the cost to replace the belt and I will be charged again for the labor. I am eternally grateful for the expertise of Michael Diaz! My keypad wasn't functioning, the only remote I had was in my car (inside my garage) and the manual key latch detached inside garage. We have had Precision come out before to repair our garage door and were very happy with the work done. So when we received a "mailer deal" (lube and tune" for $49.95 we thought it would be a good idea to have someone out again. We were very happy with Eric's work and our door is working well. The problem came when the final bill was $74.95. There was $25 added on for a "gas fee". We were not informed of this when we made the appointment. The service technician, Blake Hickey, arrived earlier than promised, which was a great relief since most places quote a four-hour window you'll have to wait around. Blake did a great job of reviewing our two garage doors and all the equipment involved and gave us a very fair quote to have the work done - We agreed and he immediately began the work and diligently worked for several hours. He was courteous, knowledgable, and friendly - everything you could hope for - and within a few hours we had brand new doors, springs, and rollers installed. One of my torsion springs broke and my garage door wouldn't open.  My car was stuck inside, but a Youtube video simply showed me how to open it with a broken spring.  While the car's now outside,  I still needed to get it fixed.  So, I spent a couple days calling different companies and asking about prices and types of springs they offered. I live in the harbor and wanted higher quality springs that could handle the ocean's salt air better. I called Precision Door Service to just get a quote and was happy with the price and how I could get an 4 hour appointment window that started in 15 min.  It was a Saturday and it was ideal to get it fixed on the weekend.   Eric called me shortly after and said he had an opening in his appointments and could come after he finished up at his current appointment.  Eric showed up at my house shortly after and was friendly and very professional.   He started first with a safety inspection of my garage door and then would provided me a quote afterwards. When finished, he provided different options for spring replacement, packages they offered and also the recommendation to replace my worn & rattling garage door rollers.   I decided to go with the higher quality springs that are powder coated and could handle the salt air and adding all new rollers.   After 30+ minutes, the new torsion springs & rollers were installed, parts lubricated and the door was balanced properly. The door now opened smoothly and much quieter than it did in the past.  What a difference new springs & rollers make!   Eric did a great job and completely cleaned up and removed all the old parts when finished, too. He's a real pro! On top of the great service, Precision Doors offers a AAA discount that's a huge plus, too.  That discount was nice and helped lower my repair bill.
