The main thing most people want to eat is seafood while on the water front, but one friend is not fond of that cuisine. We didn't know at the time Premiere Pies had a location on the water front. We had liked their food at the pavilion by the Space Needle in the past, so we decided to give it a go for our visitors. This location is much more like a actually restaurant then at the Space Needle, and pleased they had many more options to choose from on the menu. I ordered a local beer which was pretty good and we got two pies to share. The Tillamook Cheese pie was very disappointing which is why I went with a low rating. After we destroyed everything, it was time to try one of their desserts. We went with the apple-peach cobbler pie. The pie was still warm and the ice cream serving was generous. The pastry itself was so yummy, but beware, the outer shell is extremely tough, but worth the effort of course. Overall, one of the best places we've had an early dinner. Having been to the UK a few times, I have been to the places that my friends there tell me, are the authentic eats, and the must eats.. including the Cornish pastie, meat pies, and all sorts of English breakfasts. Cornish and curried veggie.. and they were good. Here we go again, eating my way through a new city. We're here in the lovely city of Seattle, WA and our first stop is for meat pies at Premier Meat Pies. I love the location, right on the water in the middle of the fish restaurants on pier 54. It's a fresh and welcome sight for anyone who's not into seafood, or those just wanting to try something different. The dining room might be small, but it's got some character. Then again I love any place that plays B.B. King for your dinning enjoyment. If you're more of a patio person they do have outside seating. Overall, the staff is, friendly and on point with their service. Now for the important stuff, the food. We ordered a Guinness Irish Stew Pie, a Shepherds Pie (technically a Cottage Pie since it's made with beef not lamb), and a Sausage Roll (aka a Toad in a Hole). The Guinness stew and sausage roll were good. The meat was very tender and nicely seasoned. The thing that stood out for me was the pastry on the sausage roll, tasty similar to the pigs in a blanket I ate as a child. Aww Nostalgia ^_^. Cooked just the way I like! Crispy on the outside and slightly doughy on the inside. Heaven! The Shepard's pie I have to say was a little disappointing. Not because it wasn't good but because I can make a pretty mean shepherds pie and my fiancée makes a wicked traditional pie. To be fair, maybe my standards for this were a little high going into it. Quick side note that if you've been to a Renaissance, Dickens, or other fair on the West Coast you might know these pies as they taste spot on to pies sold at these events (our opinion and not confirmed as the same pies or recipe).
