Tanner our cashier associate gave the best recommendation, which was to go with the chicken piccata and add the Cajun cream sauce over the pasta-boom the best order combination ever! We also got an order of the Garlic Knots, 6 knots for $3.75 what a deal steal! Drenched in Olive oil and Tons of garlic these knots were ahhhhhmazing! As soon as you walk in, you automatically get that "fast food" feeling. The vibe feel like a McDonalds but it's all Italian food on the menu. Some may view this is a good and or bad thing. Make sure they don't screw up your order. I ordered food, drove there to pick it up, and brought it home. When we checked it out at home, we did not get everything ordered. I explained this to the manager, who said they can put in the additional order and I can come pick it up - full charge. Really? I drive all the way over there, all the way back, and then I have to do it again? They wouldn't budge on any kind of discount for the food, so we as customers are just left upset (and hungry) at their mixup. PP used to be my go to fast food comfort food place I used to go to while living in the area (the Camarillo location), so when my friend suggested it, I was so excited to scarf down some delicious pasta. I used to get the chicken parm but since I'm trying to eat some what healthier, I decided to get pesto angel hair pasta with grilled chicken and broccoli. I wish I would've gotten my usual because after half way through, I felt nauseous from the large amount of oil the pasta was drenched in. I know presto trends to have an oil base but I've never had it to the point where the basil separates from the oil and the oil drips as I'm slurping the noodles. The pesto didn't seem very fresh either. The garlic bread that came on the side was okay and probably would've been better had we eaten fresh out of the oven in the restaurant. Our go to is the lunch special--Not everything on the menu can be converted to a lunch special. $6.99 for half a sub and salad, chicken picatta without salad, a mini pizza with salad, fettuccini Alfredo with salad, or spaghetti with meat sauce with salad. They also have those cool Coke machines where you can choose your drink. It's always clean, they bus for you, and the salads are made with fresh vegetable every time. Food is not Grade A but look at the whole picture, different varieties and cheap cost and includes drink and salad or soup. Awesome soda machine that's all futuristic and fantastic. There's something about their simple garden salad that is so good with some grated Parmesan and their ranch dressing. I also love the zoodles, way better than when I make them. The shape is just perfect , very close to a real pasta. If your doing low carb or keto get the Cajun chicken with zoodles and a garden salad. You will be hooked. The name makes you think it will be like one of the build your own pizza places, and it is - sort of. You can select the ingredients to go into the dish, but you do it through ordering and advance instructions, rather than the more "interactive" way you'd build your own pizza. They also have a good sized menu of pre-configured pasta dishes. Since my visit was on a lark, and it was my first time with "build your own pasta", I was a bit slow to order. The woman working at the counter was extremely friendly, and helped guide me through the process and options, without rushing me. I settled the cajun chicken penne, which I ordered as a combo and to go. After ordering, I realized that Pasta was not ideal to eat while driving haha. So I wound up dining in anyway. The pasta was absolutely delicious. I had ordered it extra spicy, and thought it was actually still a little mild. But I do like to eat really spicy, and it did have some kick to it. Regardless, the flavor made it outstanding, and I just added some red pepper for additional kick. Lunch was around $16, which is definitely on the high side for a fast casual lunch. But it was a good sized-meal, with leftovers to bring home, and as noted above, the food and customer service were excellent. Overall I felt it was definitely worth it. The sign of a good restaurant is this: when I got home, I found myself very disappointed that there was not a Presto Pasta closer to me (I live about 3 hours from Ventura). I really like the chicken picatta and the spaghetti, the sauce is the best. I always say for being a casual place, they have the best spaghetti around compared to any fine dining Italian restaurant. I have been going there for years, and I have always been satisfied. The service is great and even though you order at the counter they bring out your food and check on you later. Went to Presto pasta for takeout. Normally it's about a 15 minute wait. Tonight it was more like 25 minutes. The food was great we totally enjoyed it except for during that time I waited I was watching the cooks in the kitchen arguing with the waitresses. One of the cooks there was refusing to make the dinner she needed and he continuously said I already made it I already made it. Continued for a few minutes.There was a manager there but he walked around like he didn't hear it or see it. The waitress came up to me and apologize for what I had seen. We have been coming here for years and the service gets better and better. The food is excellent! We've gone to many "nice" restaurants that serve Italian style food and we always end up comparing them and wishing we were eating here at Presto Pasta. I get the Chicken Parmigiana with meat sauce on the pasta and my wife gets the Cajun Chicken with Zoodles (zucchini noodles) and my 1.5 year old also really enjoys some of our pasta and even their cheese pizza! I love the bread/toast they serve as a side... goes excellent with the pasta and sauce. All of the staff is always super friendly and helpful. Karina in particular is beyond awesome, always has a smile on her face and seems to always be in a great mood! Between her and the food... it all makes this place awesome!!!
