I went to check this spot out for happy hour!! Super underwhelming. We waited 45 minutes to an hour for our hookah to come out. They literally brought the hookah out the same exact time as the food which is insane. Food was mediocre nothing really stood out but what did stand out is abt 2 hrs later we were ready to go and they said no to go boxes for anything you ordered on the happy hour menu. I love a good happy hour special or a good weekend special. That is what attracted me to this place and I had seen their Instagram advertisement for their Sunday special Memorial Day weekend. I decided to make this the spot that I went to after the spot that I was already at to end the night. I actually went in here with no expectations. I had never been the parking lot was completely empty. The place was completely empty. I walk in. It took me probably about without exaggerating at least five minutes to get spoken to as one of the two people sitting at the bar, most of the staff were sitting around which I guess they didn't have anything else to do so that's fine. They had the game on, their advertisement posted $15 Hookah $1 dollar wings and five dollar rum punch I ended up buying a bottle of water. All they had was bottled water. I'm not really sure how much that was but my tab came out to $50+ and I had ordered three whole wings which came out as four whole Wings not mad but not sure if they changed the price point lol, I ordered a rum punch, which was on drink special $5 and I ordered a Hookah. The hookah was not $15. It was $25... so either the bartender didn't know about the special that you all were running or it was cap. Either way I just know to bring a flyer with me and point to exactly what I want when I step in somewhere like this or find a seat somewhere else.. it's a nice little area. The Prime express bar is a hidden gem. I went on a Wednesday night and it wasn't busy. There was a nice vibe (good music, tvs and a nice chill but classy decor) They have daily specials. On Wednesdays they have 50 cent wings and $5 rum punches. You must dine in so come in have a seat, bring your appetite and be prepared to enjoy a night out at Prime express! Buyer, beware. Came in at 9 o'clock on a Saturday night for a take out order. Huge huge mistake.. Let's start with the beginning. 1) Called and asked if we could place a takeout order and they told us no place it on Uber eats. Of course Uber eats prices are completely elevated so we decided to go inside and wait. 2) Came in at 9 pm on a weekend to a complete ass empty facility. They had a security guard dressed up like he was a SWAT team guy. And two waitresses that didn't even bother to get up to Help us. 3) The bartender eventually took our order and was very nice. Not good or knowledgable of menu, but had a nice attitude. See the receipt which helps explain this. (Mandatory 20% grat even on take out orders) The order We placed four dishes at $14-$16 each. Execution We waited over 30 minutes for this order to come out and it was the only order in the place. While we patiently waited with waters at the bar. During the excessive wait, we witnessed a group come in. They started a fight inside and progressed outside to get in a huge argument and scuffle. Staff did nothing. Food Brought our food home to find out one of the four orders was made incorrectly. I explicitly told the bartender three different times I hate onions and did not want onions on any of our food. I explicitly told her this applied to my gyro and to our sandwiches. Onions were delivered on our food. I threw away the gyro when we got home. (Pix attached) The chicken dip was very inadequate. They put a white cheese on top, which was odd. The food was so cold it didn't even melt the cheese after 20 minute drive home. (Pix attached) Here's the thing that really upsets me as I look at the receipt. They added 23% fees for us to sit and wait on our food. On a $61 order they added an additional $ 13.80 for the restaurant, as well as the tax of $4.50. (Pix attached) As a highlight of the experience, the Chicago Italian beef was great. This experience is very underwhelming. Management should be notified and. action should be taken. As a Chicago native, I can clearly tell you this does not live up to our standards. I tried for the first time and was very impressed. I was torn between several fresh made options but I opted for the chicken Philly and house made chips. It was delicious. I definitely wish they bagged those fresh chips. And the food is seasoned very well! The Brussels sprouts had this glaze that made me kept eating them & they were soft and amazing! I was impressed the most with the banana pudding, all the items tasted great just the banana pudding was the best (although very sweet). I was not satisfied with the beef rib tips, when ordering the menu shows it comes with rice or noodles, I chose rice and did not get rice. The portion size was also very small, same for the banana pudding. Spend $60.00 on this visit including tax and a 5.00 tip only to stop at checkers to eat on the way home. One of the Worst Dining Experiences - Avoid at All Costs If I could give zero stars, I would. My visit to Prime Express Atlanta was hands down one of the most disorganized, frustrating restaurant experiences I've ever had. We arrived at 6:45 PM and were immediately shuffled between three different waitresses, none of whom seemed to know who was supposed to be taking care of us. It took over 30 minutes just to place our order, and when the food finally began trickling out, half of it never showed up. Several of our drink orders were also missing and never corrected. To make matters worse, the General Manager on duty blamed their chaos on some lunchtime wing promotion - an excuse that had absolutely nothing to do with the dinner service or our table. Not once did they take ownership or offer a meaningful solution. Despite being seated at a table for four, we were only given two sets of silverware and had to ask multiple times just to get the basics. When the check finally came, not a single bill was correct. On top of that, we were slapped with a 3% restaurant fee (for what, exactly?) and a mandatory 20% gratuity on a party of four - despite the fact that the service was horrendous from start to finish. There is no excuse for this level of incompetence in any restaurant, let alone one that automatically tacks on charges without providing the bare minimum level of service. I do not recommend this place to anyone and strongly encourage people to avoid Prime Express Atlanta altogether. read more
