Came here on a Sunday night with my family initially planned to come for their Korean bbq but when we arrived, we were told their AYCE pricing is based on height and anyone over 4ft tall needs to pay full adult pricing which is around $40 per person. I have 2 kids which doesn't eat alot, which means my tiny 8YO son, who's the shortest in his class, will also need to pay full price. We thought this is extremely unreasonable so we opted to do a la carte. We ordered a kimchi pancake, hot stone bibimbap, army stew, 10 piece boneless chicken with soy garlic sauce, one combo kalbi with beef ramen and an order of tuna roll as my son was nagging for them. The kimchi pancake was thin, soggy, and oily. When the bibimbap came to our table, our server asked me to check if there's rice underneath as the kitchen may have left them out. I honestly have never experience anything like this before. I tried lifting through the veggies and didn't see it at first but realized it's a very small portion of rice embedded right in the middle. I have never had to order a bibimbap and put the white rice (that had came with my army stew) into the stone pot myself because there wasn't enough in there. Another thing to note is it's also my first time seeing button mushrooms used for bibimbap. The bulgogi was not well marinated or seared and the flavors were odd especially when the bulgogi was not well marinated. The soup base of the army stew was lacked depth and the kimchi was not fermented and sour enough. The rice that came with it was only half filled which I have never seen in any other Korean restaurants before. However, they had big pieces of sausage and spam which was a surprise. But they completely forgot to add the ramen. However, when I asked our server about it, he offered to let me make my own ramen at their ramen station. Their fried chicken was also a flop. The chicken pieces were flat and a little dry. It did not seem like it was double fried as it wasn't very crispy and it had too much sauce on it. The Kalbi was a joke. It was cooked on our table but the cooktop wasn't hot enough and the meat was not able to get a proper sear. It was basically boiling within its own marinate and looked very unappetizing. Their beef ramen and tuna roll, I cannot comment much because they were for my kids but I did try one noodle which was a little soggy and the tuna roll was cut to all uneven heights and the tuna, although looked ok fresh, but it was for sure not a good quality piece of fish. What a huge disappointment. The fact they price AYCE by height was very not children friendly and IMO very greedy. Their Korean dishes did not seem authentic at all. The restaurant also had no ventilation system at all so it was very smoky and smelly throughout the whole restaurant. The only positive thing was our server was great and made sure we were happy. Although it wasn't a very busy when we were there, we still had to wait for a long time before our food came out. They didn't even give us any banchan to start not to mention their banchan were very limited (only 4) and my kids were not thrilled they did not have any fish cakes. But our server gave us an order of dumplings on the house and we were thankful for that. He also took my army stew off our of bill since they left out the ramen. Overall, this is probably the worst Korean restaurant I've ever been to in all of North America including the ones I've been to in the middle of nowhere. The 1 star was really for our outstanding server and nothing else. If I can give a negative star for the food, I would. It was all MSG and I was dying of thirst throughout the rest of the night. My kids told me to never come back again.
Highly recommend this restaurant! The quality of the meat was amazing. I loved the bulgogi, spicy chicken, and so much more. I also loved the options for dipping sauces, it was presented how I'm used to in koreatown. I also really loved that there were so many halal choices, and that bbq and sushi were an option. The sushi was amazing and different. We loved the Wagyu nigiri and bulgogi rolls and so much more. Portion sizes were perfect for the three of us. My friends and I ate so much and can't wait to come back again. Service was excellent. Our group had allergies to soy and nuts and not only does the menu mark what has soy and sesame, but the waiter was helpful with that too. Definitely check this place out. It was worth every penny. We got our money's worth. Really delicious food!
I was here once two years ago, so thought it would be fun to try it again and bring my husband who has never tried Korean barbecue. Since I was on my own without a Korean friend this time we opted for the all you can eat. The inside is very spacious with large table areas, so I didn't think it would be an issue for the two of us getting a table, even though it was a Saturday evening. The establishment was crowded and busy and everybody looking like they were having a great time so I was actually concerned when we first walked in, but we were able to get a table with no wait. When we first sat down, we relied on the wait staff to guide us. They were very helpful in sharing some popular items and guiding us based on our preferences i.e marinated versus non-marinated meats and pork versus beef. Extensive amount of various meats and we tried a few beef options, some pork belly and also chicken. The teriyaki chicken was our least favorite. Along with all the meats there were and copious amount of sides to pick between. The steamed egg and spicy tofu stew were my favorites. The steamed egg was the texture of an egg soufflé and very light with this subtle Unami flavor. I would love to try to recreate. I enjoyed experimenting with the sauces they provided and various other of the complementary sides. In all fairness, I would probably not come back as it was almost too much food for me with just one other person, but I would certainly come back in a large group setting. Would be fun to celebrate a Birthday here or just a dinner outing with friends. BYO and if you forget, there is a liquor store in the complex.
Went on a Friday night with a group of three and waited about an hour to be seated--note: if you choose the halal option, the wait might be shorter. Once inside, we really enjoyed the variety of meats and veggies. You can pick 5 meat options at a time, but you're free to reorder as you go, which kept things fun and fresh. The wait staff is definitely limited, so you'll need to be proactive about asking for things like water, napkins, or scissors. That said, the food more than makes up for it--everything was delicious! For just $2 more, you can add unlimited sushi, which is a great deal. Definitely worth the visit!
Been here two times already and I trek all the way from Queens, NY just for Halal KBBQ. They need to open a location in NYC ASAP! As far as halal meat goes, I never been to an establishment serving different cuts of meat (like intestines, beef belly, blade cuts etc.), so it was nice to finally experience this. I love beef belly! I never imagined I would say that but the texture is light and tasty. I did not like the intestine but that's because I don't like intestine in general. The price point is just right (about $50 pp). Interestingly, the All You Can Eat Sushi was only 2 or 3 dollars more, but I really didn't think I could commit to the sushi since rice is an easy stomach filler. The waiter was very kind and they are there to help you cook/cut pieces for you if you are not familiar with the cooking process.
Second time here and while the party (we were two, 6 had bbq and sushi acye, 2 of us me included only had sushi acye) that had everything was satisfied I was left very underwhelmed this time. Essentially there was an almost one hr wait b/t our first sushi order and the second. Ive included the pic and time stamp. Totally unacceptable and left the experience very uneasy as I kept wondering if I should order again. Oh well. A total miss this time.
My friend and I went to a new place and decided to try something new. The design is very clean and modern. We were greeted with a staff that is so kind and attentive, we didn't have to want for attention at all. My friend and I got the beef bulgogi spicy chicken and the beef brisket, all were good, but the star was the beef bulgogi. The other sides and garnishes were all good as well. We had the fried veggie dumpling and beef dumpling that were all good. To finish we had 1 black sesame and 1 green tea mochi. Also the honorable mention out of it all is the green tea. So fresh and clean tasting. Did I mention that it was all you can eat? 8/10
Excellent experience all around! I do wish they'd just take your order down instead of having you mark it down with marker on one of their reusable menus, but other than that, we liked this place a lot. Quite unassuming, given its location in a random shopping center, but the food is on point, the service is friendly, and the meats are top quality. Will be coming back again for sure.

My husband and I visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening. The staff was really friendly and helpful with explaining the different options available for Korean BBQ. To start we ordered the Kimchi Jeon (Pancake) and also a Dumpling soup. We both enjoyed these appetizers. The kimchi Jeon was thin, crispy, spicy and delicious. We would've enjoyed a bit more kimchi in the pancake but it still was pretty good. The dumpling soup had a nice clear broth. I personally would've like a bit more of a garlicky flavor. But the ingredients were fresh. For dinner we ordered the Prime 7 Signature Combo. This comes with their signature Marinated Oodae Galbi and also with Pork Belly. The star of the show is without a doubt the Marinated Oodae Galbi. It was cooked to perfection and it just melted in my mouth. So tender, juicy and flavorful. I'm still dreaming about it. The pork belly was good but really no comparison against the Oodae. Typical of a Korean food experience, we were served an incredible array of side dishes. We especially enjoyed the pickled radish, the jalapeño and pickle radish, and the egg soufflé. We both also enjoyed some Soju and Korean beer. We highly recommend Prime 7 if you are looking to enjoy authentic korean food. The only recommendation we have is the ambience. It was a bit boring. We would've like some more exposure to their culture or even a bar area with some cocktails and maybe some KPop or KDramas playing. read more
In the area and caught up with family and was thrilled to find that this place is located in Mahwah. The fact that I didn't have to make the drive over to Palisades Park, was a winning factor for me. All the food here is really good. The meats were prime and the flavors were delicious. We had the usual banchan and also had the seafood pancakes. Who would've though that there'd be a great KBBQ place so far outside of Fort Lee/ Leonia/ Pal Park?? Honestly this is one of the best KBBQ places I've been. Cooking method was unique since it was induction cooked on a cast iron pan. The cast iron heated up very well giving the meats a nice sear on the outside and cooked very quickly. Highly recommend th Prime No 7 Signature Combo & the Premium Beef Combo. The meats were excellent quality, well flavored and generous. These all came with doenjang jigae and egg soufflé. We went here for our anniversary dinner since my husband and I like kbbq. This was a relatively new place atleast for us, it is in a strip mall and nothing crazy fancy but tasteful and modern decor. The food and service was great, our waiter who I don't think I got his name, he primarily interacted with us in English and he was very helpful. I'm gluten free and they accommodated my allergy and let me know what I could and couldn't have. We ordered the $110 combo to share and it was more than enough food for two people. I also ordered the beef tofu stew and it was very good. Spicy and delicious. Our favorite meat selection was the hanger steak and the brisket. Our waiter recommended the truffle oil to dip the meat in and it was delicious! I highly recommend. Overall we loved the food and will definitely be going back. read more
What an experience! The food was fabulous and the staff are so nice. It's a BYOB, but there is a liquor store nearby if you forget. We had Rachel as our server, and she went above and beyond. She gave us great recommendations. Everything was super fresh, with lots of flavor. We tried everything she recommended which is the way to order. We tried the shrimp shumai, chili shrimp, fried mandoo, and prime yookhwe. There were lots of different sides to taste but their kimchi was really amazing. Rachel lined up our sauces for the different bbq meats we picked and offered recommendations of which pieces to eat with each sauce. We had the marinated galbi, ribeye, pork belly and squid. Rachel cooked it at the table and even added grilled kimchi to go with our pork belly. The food was great and we will definitely come back for it, but Rachel made the whole night an experience. read more

10/10 - the service is amazing. Rachel was super thorough and made amazing recommendations! We followed her word to a tee! FOLLOW THEIR RECOMMENDATIONS!! What sauces you should do in order. What condiments you should try with certain types of meat. listen to them! Get the marinated meat. Everything is cooked to perfection and tastes great, but the marinated meats are super tasty. This place is BYOB. They are so accommodating! Wine openers. Ice. Water. Amazing. Worth every penny. Come during the week so it's not insanely busy. read more

Fantastic food and stellar service! Everything was delicious and all the food seemed very fresh. Our server was attentive and friendly and explained all the menu items we weren't familiar with. The dumplings were great (and good for kids). The short rib soup (also good for kids) was wonderful as well. My wife and I shared multiple items from the Korean BBQ menu, including the Oodae Galbi, the signature marinated prime rib, as well as the bbq hanger steak. Both were phenomenal but the signature rib was another level. There are so many things on the menu we didn't even get to try, I'm psyched to come back again soon. Highly recommend 14/10 read more

I've been to many Korean barbecues and this place would rank a little below halfway on the list. The food was okay. Was not a big fan of the spicy tofu soup and the steamed egg wasn't great. The marinated meats were decent but everything was slightly over salted. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again as I think it's overpriced for the quality. But I also wouldn't say no if I was invited. read more

I was able to try some unique items like beef belly which is super thin fatty meat. I was astounded by how tender their beef bulgogi was. My favorite item was marinated prime short rib. I didn't eat their chicken but my wife enjoyed her portions which included spicy and marinated. very generous portions. I would focus on the meats though - the sides didn't really catch my attention read more

As a K-BBQ lover and someone who lives in Bergen County, I usually go to Palisades Park or Fort Lee to find Korean authentic food -- never have I dreamed of a k-bbq place in Mahwah! My boyfriend and I went to check it out. The interior is modern and has good ambient lighting~ the waiters are really sweet and nice as well. I ordered a tofu soup and my boyfriend ordered corn and cheese (appetizer) and their k-bbq. Never have I been more full despite coming to visit on an empty stomach; the k-bbq (minimum 2 servings) is truly enough for two people. The set up for k-bbq is different; they don't have the venting system you see at other places like Butcher360. As for food, we got the beef brisket and pork belly; we thought the pork belly cut was their best; super good! Overall, the quality of food was on par with the other K-BBQ places I've tried; the tofu soup was delicious too. As for its price, it is a bit more expensive than the all-you-can-eat BBQ places.
