I only get an iced vanilla latte w/oat here. It's very simple but it's really the only drink I'll order. I've tried some of their signature and seasonal drinks and they just haven't been my favorite. I have friends who love them but personally they aren't anything special. And the food is 5/10. You can't go wrong with a scone or croissant but any of their muffins or breakfast sandwiches are overpriced for the taste. They have two stories and the downstairs is great for studying or reading a book or simply just chatting over coffee. Met up with a friend and I was not expecting this place to be so spacious. You walk in and there's plenty of seating with a room that's walled off for privacy, which is cool. The counter is all the way to the back, and they also have breakfast options in the case. There's a whole downstairs with open seating and a couch and some chairs in front of a fire place. It is cooler which the fireplace off but not uncomfortable. My latte was beautiful and tasted wonderful. The young lady was nice and I first ordered a Turkish coffee. She did ask I was aware of what it entailed, which was great and it was nice and strong. Enjoyed checking. This place out. Where to start....... I really enjoyed my time at Prufrock! When I first walked in I thought it was really small but then I ordered my drink and they informed me that they had an entire basement. I was shocked! I ordered an iced coffee, with sugar free vanilla, ginger and oat milk! It was so so good. I love anything with ginger and it topped it off. I went to the basement and I loved all the plants that they had. It was my heaven on earth lol. I was amazed at the fact that there was a fireplace! Whew.... Coffee, laptop, and a fireplace? I love this place!! I've been wanting to visit here for months since it looked adorable. And...it is! First, there's outdoor seating - chairs and tables, and umbrellas above a couple of the tables. Inside on the first floor there's a couple couches and a mix of tables. It's a tight and cozy fit. The order area is at the back. I got the vanilla and lavender latte (it was good and I liked it but I did not love it). There's a sink so you can fill up a cup for water as well, so that's nice. Go down the stairs to the basement, and it has the best vibe. Soft lighting and fairly dark, with a table, a long bench with tables and chairs on the other side. Underneath the stairs is an adorable desk with a lap. Overall, the vibe is very "college coffee house" vibe with a mix of furniture. It's a bit eccentric, super chill, and enjoyable. read more

The place looked pretty run down upon entering. I wanted a plain drip coffee and asked if they had a medium roast. The barista had no clue about what he was serving. I asked for half and half, but they only had milk. When the barista put the coffee on the counter, he said "I can warm that up for you if it's not hot enough". I sat down at a small table with a plastic chair that wobbled and took a sip. It was room temperature at best and tasted stale. I did something which is out of character for me and took the cup back to the counter and told the barista it was too cold to be served; in my experience, coffee does not reheat well. It needs to be brewed fresh and kept warm. I left and will not be returning. read more

Very cute coffee shop that fits the neighborhood perfectly. The iced miel was good but lacked the taste of coffee and could use some more cinnamon. The iced mocha was ok but needed a straw to get any flavor. The to go cups were so unique and fun! The service was perfect and inside vibes were comfy and relaxing. This is officially my favorite coffee shop in Indianapolis!! It's the coffee and vibe for me. The decor of the coffee shop is vintage with an urban feel. It almost makes you forget you're in Indy. There are library books throughout the shop and the MUSIC!! I LOVE IT! I can actually study in this coffee shop without wanting to put on headphones. There is an upstairs area that has great natural light. The basement is perfect if you need to zone out and work..but I wish there were windows to allow more natural light to enter the room. Now to the drinks. I ordered the Mean Bean Vanilla Latte and didn't have to anything to it. It was good as is. I had to drink it slow because I wanted to savor the flavor, lol. Five stars for its eclectic atmosphere. I've never been in any place quite like Prufrock. It's design and decor is like waking into a modern day Van Gogh impressionistic painting that incorporates bold blue and green color and the natural light and shadows. The design and layout of the shop and furniture settings create numerous sections that tricks the mind into thinking that the square footage is much bigger than it actually is. With the variety of seating arrangements you could visit each day for two weeks and not sit in the same section. I never went downstairs but I hear there is a kid and working parents area. I sat inside the shipping container in a nice comfy repurposed chair--very relaxing. Prufrock serves locally roasted coffee. They have a typical coffee menu with some specially created drinks. I enjoyed my visit to Prufrock with a friend and her daugher last weekend. It was a sunny Sunday, perfect for the patio, but we decided to grab a comfy couch inside. I ordered one of the seasonal ube lattes and my friend got a regular latte, both iced. I always appreciate when a coffee shop askes whether you'll be enjoying drinks here or to-go, which Prufrock did, and so our beverages were served in cute glasses instead of disposables. I enojyed my drink and the fact that they had coconut milk. The seating area was spacious enough for my friend's daughter to play with some toys she brought too. I am soo pumped to have discovered this adorable, charming, spacious coffee shop. There are two floors, the bottom floor seems to be a great place to study, surrounded by bookshelves. The coffee seems to be all local, they have a cute coffee bar for all your additional fixings but you can also see the rotating bean menu which changes daily!! I love when coffee shops are transparent about the beans they're using, and a bonus is when they change it up. This is high quality. I got just a double espresso and a ground lavender latte, it was so good but also so sweet. Finding parking was much easier than expected so this gives me hope for setting up easy future meetings here. Between the two fooors, there is plenty of seating and outlets to be found. Heads up that WIFi can be spotty in the basement level if you're planning on working remotely. A meeting in comfy sofa chairs, next to a real, burning fireplace?! Wow. Can I start every morning like this?! This spot is honestly one of the coolest coffee shops I've seen in a long time. It's special, unique, mysterious and wonderful. It has that artsy, edgy feel while also being insanely comfortable and cozy. On the lower level, you almost feel like you're in an old-timey cabin together. It was wonderful. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the co-owners. She was incredibly friendly, outgoing and kind. I saw her interacting with many customers and read in an Indy Maven article that the owners are two moms who really needed a coffee shop in the SoBro area (very much needed!). I'm impressed that the made their dreams a reality so quickly. The place was crowded with all types of people. People were even sitting on a chair in the vestibule, having all types of conversations. They offer a variety of coffee drinks, as well as three hot teas: black, green and chamomile. They had a variety of baked goods, that I'll dive more into on my next visit. 3.5 stars Really place with a nice, big downstairs space for hanging out. I got one of their specialty lattes, and it was super sweet, so I'd probably get something neutral if I went back. I had an odd customer service experience. I ordered the latte with oat milk, which was $1 extra. They accidentally made it with regular milk. They apologized, and I said they didn't need to make me a new one, since that would be wasteful. Instead, I asked for the dollar back, since I did pay extra. This is apparently very complicated for them to do, so they instead gave me a new loyalty card with two stamps on it instead of one. They didn't even ask if I was OK with that option. Even if I lived here, an extra stamp on a loyalty card isn't worth nearly a dollar. But I don't live here, and so I definitely won't be back anytime soon, and will not even be able to fill up the card. Hopefully that was a fluke, it was a very cute place, and the people working there were nice. read more

Prufrock is such a fun coffee spot! Located in South Broad Ripple its convenient space to work and enjoy a refreshing beverage. The space is both upstairs and upstairs. Its decorated with a mishmash of different couches and chairs. The seating is good for a small group of 5-6 or just working singularly. The only downfall is that parking can be a little tricky to find as there are few parking spots in the front or back, but perfectly walkable for those who live close by. read more

The ordering area is a bit small so it can get jammed up if there are too many people, but overall the space is unique and has its own quirky vibe. They let us bring our dog in and the people before had their dog inside, but I don't know if it's always dog friendly or not. I ordered the lavender vanilla latte and loved it. I've had lots of lavender lattes and this is one of the better ones. They use fresh lavender instead of a syrup. It was delicious. They were having some technology issues when we were there, and I could tell the barista was stressed. However, he apologized a million times and even made the girls behind us whatever they wanted for how much cash they had since he couldn't take card at the time. One of the easy alternatives to the Indianapolis coffee scene, not quite the indulgent hipster of Coat Check or Provider, cozy sublime of my favorite capital caffeine cafe Rabble, but offering a neat lil atmosphere winning nook with friendly staff and a nicely assorted menu of properly done up options. I noticed the vanilla was a hit on many reviews so went with that. Found it nicely flavored yet extremely sweet, excessively sugary for me not letting espresso goods come through, will have to try again for something seasonal as that usually does me right. There are a lot of cool little spots here with their own mood right for enjoying quality time.
