Amazing food and experience!!! We tried Dal, Gobhi, Roti, Yogurt, Lassi and Tea. Everything was wonderful. Food was very fresh and flavorful. Restrooms were clean and usable. It's located besides a truck repair shop so it does give you that feeling of "dhaba". It's run by two old ladies and they make you feel homely and comfortable. We stopped over during our road trip to Nevada! I am so so glad we took that exit as soon as we saw Punjabi Dhaba sign. Pls don't judge the place, it's a food truck but trust me the food is super delicious authentic Punjabi food. We had the jeera rice with chicken curry, mutter paneer, aloo paratha, and chai. Every bite of the food was so good, fresh, and tasty. We waited some time for the parathas as they were busy but it was totally worth it. Stopped here on our way to Grand Canyon. Located next to a service rig station. The food was authentic and delicious. Not spicy but flavorful. Menu is limited and we ordered everything on it. So glad. They serve in to-go-containers but there are benches outside (shaded) to enjoy the food. Portion sizes are huge. Service is friendly. Total was $140 for 9 adults eating a good hearty meal. We're local, and for the last 30 years, we have bemoaned the lack of an Indian restaurant in Kingman (for more than five minutes one time). We were delighted, and we ordered the chicken combo, bengan bhartha, rice, raita, and rotis, plus chai. The good: The chai was fabulous! Also, the owner and his family were all smiles, and very helpful. The bad: The rest was just OK. The raita was watery, the rotis were rubbery and tasted like flour tortillas rather than real roti (which I have had all over the world, so I feel I can judge). The rest was just meh, and it was very overpriced. For those things, it was $47. We didn't even get any chutney with it! We were shocked. It's not like we haven't had Indian food in, say, Las Vegas lately. We had some in San Francisco recently, roughly the same order, and it wasn't anything like that much. A simple yet clean place that offers absolutely delicious punjabi food. We ordered saag paneer, dal, chicken, chapatis and all of these tasted amazing. Also, chai was the best. The restaurant brings you back to the taste that comes from a Punjab pind (village)'s kitchen. If you're from India this is a must visit as in travel this is the food that is truly going to satisfy your hunger. And if not then you are going to have something you will crave for in future. Delicious food in a building with all the ambience of an auto repair shop. This is out of town near Love's truck stop on I-40, north and up the hill from Kingman. The people were pleasant and eager to please, servings were generous and the price was reasonable. You can eat inside or out, or order takeout. If you don't want spicy, stay away. While driving by I saw the sign for Punjabi Dhaba on the highway and I thought "heck yeah, some Indian food!" To be honest, I had trouble finding the place. It is a food truck attached to the truck wash behind the Love's gas station. If you do find it, the food is delicious. It is definitely a hole in the wall, but the quality is very good in my opinion. OUTSTANDING!!! If you are driving from Vegas to the Grand Canyon South Rim, you owe it to yourself to stop here. Equal to the best Indian food I've had anywhere; co-located in a facility with a semi-truck wash and repair shop. Order at the window inside, selecting the dishes and container sizes that you want. Indoor seating is in the back, folding tables and chairs. There are picnic tables outside. We had the chicken curry, peas and potatoes, and paratha. Pro tip: get extra paratha. You're welcome. Staff was very friendly and understood more English than they spoke, which was very limited. We eventually understood the pick a dish and pick a size system and were good to go from there. We are already planning a stop on the way back to Vegas. If you're reading this review you likely enjoy Indian food and are at least somewhere in the vicinity. Just go here. Returning from Grand Canyon, we were skeptic whether to stop at this place or not knowing how bad Indian food can be at the tourist places. Not only we were proven wrong with this well maintained no-nonsense place, but this place also showed what kind of inferior food we are eating in the Bay Area restaurants, where we live. Their rotis were top notch and maintained the stiffness even after 3 days. And they are made with pure wheat floor, unlike the cutting corners Indian places all over the Bay Area. Their dal and vegetarian curry must act as an eye openers for most restaurant owners in the Bay Area. Their interest in the food making is reflected with the way they cut the paneer pieces small compared to the monstrous pieces that come in any curry made in the Bay Area restaurants. Hidden gem. Apparently there is a growing market for good Indian food among immigrant truck drivers, and Punjabi Dhaba has it. There are grannies in the kitchen mixing dough for the parathas. I guess it doesn't get much more authentic than that! The menu changes daily and is written on a chalkboard. We had pakoras curry, chickpeas, paratha bread, and delicious basmati rice. We got paranthas, they were fresh, soft and flavorful. Goat curry was okay, in the large container that we ordered, it was mostly curry with small chunks of goat meat. Black/ Kala chana was nice with just enough heat that most people could tolerate. Tadka daal was way past cooked and tadka was missing tomatoes etc. Rice pudding/Kheer was okay, thankfully just sweet enough to be flavorful. I'm no expert, but this place is amazing! Last time we came was during the pandemic. The guy was so nice that he gave us some food for a discount price. Then he gave us some cookies for our little boy on top of it for free! Not only that, but his food is amazing.
