This place is so delicious and fun. We came on a Monday when they have parathas only. Other days that have full meals. For $14 we had two aloo prarathas, each served with homemade raita (seriously the best I've ever had), pickle, and a bit of paneer. This is a lovely, savory breakfast or snack, ever so much better than American pancakes loaded with butter and syrup. It's in a truck service station, yes, and there's a little bit of a language barrier but the food and the whole experience are worth it. I was super excited to find a Punjabi dhaba with good reviews on highway, during our road trip. Being a Punjabi, I expected a nice warm environment of this diner. But I was so wrong. Staff is extremely rude! Food is overpriced. Veg thali costs $14 which is same as nice Indian buffet in a good restaurant, but what we got in veg thali was literally 2 spoons of Chana!! And when I asked for extra onion, the guy looked at me as if I had asked for his kidney!! That's not how Punjabi's are! Not at all! Don't expect any nice sitting area at all! Looked like the last time tables and chairs were cleaned, it was pre-pandemic era! Don't expect any water as well with your food! Even the worst dhaaba in Punjab would be cleaner and better hospitable than this one! Covid rules are way far from this place! No one in mask here! This is so true.. truly a hole in the wall Amazing dhaba style food, their aloo gobhi parantha with butter and dahi reminded me of desi food back from India. Their vegetarian thali was really good it comes with 2 vegetarian entree,3 chapati,dahi(homemade indian style), onion and pickle. Who would have guessed! There are a lot of Indian truckers out there. This is a food truck at the truck wash. It was very good. Very limited menu. We ordered aloo something. It was a thickish tortilla thing filled a paste of potatoes and herbs. It was served with butter and a side of Greek style yogurt. I asked for some spice pickled peppers that she had in the window. There was also pickled onions but I passed on those. Washed it all down with a nice chai tea. Bottomline, way better than most food options on the road. We stopped at this rest stop planning on getting subway and were instantly drawn to Punjabi Dhaba. We were so excited to get some real food instead of the different fast food options along the way back to Las Vegas. They had a list of what was available for that day and since we're vegan we asked what we were able to have. We went with the jalo dal, some sort of yellow lentil curry, with a side of rice and 2 roti to split between two people. Total was $20. We didn't realize the roti came with butter so they were super kind and gave us two new pieces without any. They were super friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. They don't have clear vegan/vegetarian options listed but if you ask questions, you can get an awesome veggie meal here! read more

Food is too good to miss out on the way to Grand Canyon. Not very spicy but has all the taste of all Indian spices. Roti's are so soft and thick, so as the mixed veg paratha. My husband say's the Goat curry here was the best he had in a very long time. Sweet lassi and Tea are also very good. Don't let the location dissuade you. It's an unassuming food truck next to a truck stop...there is comfortable indoor seating and restroom available. I so enjoy the veggie thali. It's homey and tasty and their roti (not my favs of flatbreads) is delicious. Great go to for a thali fix. read more

AMERICANS BEWARE!!! The old lady behind the counter tried to charge me $38 for 1 plate of chicken curry. The Indian customers were receiving prices of $13 a meal as I asked another man that was in line behind me what he usually pays. If you speak the language then I'm sure it's great. My husband and I stopped off here after reading the great reviews on the food. The gentleman behind the counter that took my order did not speak or understand English very well at all. I ordered veggie curry with rice, goat curry with rice for my husband, 2 orders of the Aaloo Paratha and 1 order of the plain paratha. So I thought he had understood this and we waited. So after a little bit of time we got the 2 orders of Aaloo Paratha and a plate with yogurt and a table spoon of some type of veggie in sauce. So we waited some more and he motioned for me to come up and handed me a container of goat curry and rice. So my husband took his inside to eat and I continued to wait. The gentleman called me back up and was saying something I could not understand and handed me a iced drink of some type which I had not ordered. I thought since it was taking so long for my veg curry he offered me this drink. I figured out what he was telling me is it was time to pay my bill which turned out to be $30.00. I asked him about my veg curry and rice with the plain Paratha and he started saying something else that I could not understand. So basically we paid $30.00 for 2 Aaloo Paratha, goat curry with rice and a tea that I did not order. I saw Alex who does speak English but not Indian and explained what had happened and he went and got me a piece of the plain Paratha and said he was calling the owner of the food truck to come and help us. We waited and waited for him and he didn't come. Alex came back and we told him he had not come down and so he went back to find him again. This time he said that he would be coming down the stairs and describe to us what he would look like. Several mins later he came down in his sleep clothes, looked over at us and kept on walking to the back. We waited a bit longer and just decided to leave because we are truck drivers and we were wasting our clock waiting around for someone to help. By this time I had lost my appetite and we left very disappointed. I will say that the food we did eat was good and everyone seemed friendly and nice that we got to talk to but unless you speak the language you may end up disappointed as well. $30.00 for what we got was ridiculous in my opinion and they're no prices listed outside. read more

Last year on our way to the Grand Canyon, my friend sees this hand drawn sign "Punjabi Dhaba" leaning against a freeway road sign outside Kingman, AZ. He gets excited " We gotta stop there!" I'm clueless, not knowing what Punjabi Dhaba means, but I trust him so we pull off at the Loves truck stop and search for the place. We found this food truck by the truck driver service area just past the gas station. There were a lot of Indian truckers milling about so I suspended my doubts, figuring if they were there then this little food truck must be churning out something good. My friend ordered, cause I don't speak Hindi or Gujarati or know much about Indian food. Selection is limited; you've got like 2-3 options but that's all you need, 'cause my friend was right. This place was worth the stop. They've gotten a little more organized. There's at least one guy there who speaks English. They've added a covered outdoor area in addition to the indoor air-conditioned building, but it's still the same authentic, basic food. We now stop here every time we're passing through. read more

I came upon this nice Punjabi Indian restaurant on my way back from Grand Canyon. The hot home made and tasty food was truly satisfying especially since it was cold and raining outside. The parathas are made fresh when you order and comes with a nice helping of home made yogurt , butter and pickle. I also ordered the veg and non veg thalis. Each came with two curry options plus hot rotis, curd and pickle. The curries are very tasty.The place is a bit small and was very crowded when we reached (Definitely a good sign!!). It lead us to an exit out in the Arizona desert high country to a food truck! The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful with picking out the best food ever!
