10/10 Build Your Own Bowl 12. Oz -My absolute favorite place for acai! The team here is great and they even offer a matcha acai flavor. As a huge matcha fan this speaks to my soul. They definitely know their audience! Cost - $11.85.

I am obsessed with Pur! They have become a late night indulgence for me. This location has a very small parking lot so it may be difficult to find spots during peak hours. Very easy to understand menu, either select a pre determined option or build your own bowl. They offer a wide variety of bases and toppings to make it unique to you and i find the flavors to be a 10/10

I stopped by PUR Bowls and loved the whole experience. It's conveniently right next to Wynn's Kitchen, so it's easy to check out both spots in one trip. What stood out right away was that they let you sample the bases--huge plus. They have a lot of flavors, so being able to taste before choosing makes it way easier to customize your bowl. The setup is simple: you move down the line and pick exactly what you want, quick and efficient. I went with the coconut base, added vanilla chia seeds, granola, strawberries, bananas, and topped it with toasted coconut flakes--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly put together. Service was fast, staff was friendly, and everything tasted great. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area.

my partner and i went for a late night dessert and it was gooddd. gigantic props to the worker for indulging me and letting me try literally every flavor cause i felt so bad but ive never had acai before and had no idea what to expect. will be coming back for the strawberry/guava flavor cause they were out when we went:( ANOTHER PLUS i love that they charge by the cup size rather than the weight, suchhhh a refreshing change of pace from the penny pinching other places do

can get a little busy here during the day but we were helped quickly. felt kind of rushed by staff but that's alright. i liked their coconut base. their bases are the perfect consistency! i liked that they stayed firm throughout the time i was eating my bowl. they also have a good amount of toppings and a few that i haven't seen at a traditional acai bowl place which was cool. this place is connected to nguyens kitchen which i thought was interesting. a couple of tables inside but this place is mostly grab and go. parking can be a mess too

Love the pitaya and mango base flavors!! Very bright flavor and the right kind of sweetness. The amount of toppings available were great. It was my first time seeing matcha chia pudding! Different kinds of granolas, fresh and dried fruit option toppings!

A pretty typical acai bowl place, nothing too special but really appreciate the pricing and hours. I came in around midnight since my brother was craving an acai bowl and we were happy with the service. I like how it's essentially endless toppings and isn't additional after x amount. I worked at a juice + acai place before where the starting price was $14 and any additional toppings from the set bowls they had was a dollar extra. Definitely a loud place because of the next door restaurant but nothing they can do about it, would overall recommend especially since they are open until 2am I believe???

Today was my first time here and I definitely will be coming back! Ordering was super fast and simple, and the person putting my order together was super helpful. There wasn't very many people in at the time I went but I loved that the music was upbeat and signs were easy to understand. Parking was a little bit of a struggle since the parking lot was pretty small. Overall, the bowl was delicious, fruit was so fresh, and I loved that it was totally customizable!

Yummmmmmmmm...This place is smth else!!!!!!! I was starving for smth very sour and thanks to Yelp I found this place....It was my first time to be here while many times i was Next door NGUYEN kitchen but not in person. It was always door dash or ubereats so i didnt have a chance to find this place...The service was phenomenal...They were super friendly and fast...Even i asked for more Tajin on my Mango and she didnt hesitate even when we were paying she asked if i want more....So 5/5 stars.The ambiance was chill eventhough it has a mutual door with Nguyen Kitchen and the smells were mixed but it was enjoyable...Another young lady was there with her laptop so I guess it should be chill....We ended up paying around $17 for the large size bowl plus tip..It was generous size and the large size is good for two.

I came in today while in the area and this place did not disappoint. We were quickly greeted by the employees who offered us samples. I sampled both the cocolina (spirulina, coconut, pineapple, and mango) and matcha. The cocolina was amazing and had a very vibrant flavor. The matcha had a very strong flavor and was unsweetened. I ended up ordering a cocolina bowl with chia pudding, granola, fruits, and other toppings. The inside had 2 tables to offer, but there was no outside seating. The prospect was also clean and the employees wore gloves, which made me feel better. The location of Pur bowls is near CHOC and St. Joseph hospitals which make it a great location for those visiting loved ones. The parking lot is small, but there were several spots when we visited. In addition, there is a restaurant next door called Nguyen's kitchen which offered plenty of options as well. I will definitely be back!

I had only been here once before today and have been craving another bowl since. This location is not exactly near my home. The servers here are always helpful, friendly and generous. I love the way they stack a bowl. There are so many choices and the place is kept clean. Pretty casual but not a lot of tables (only 2 inside). The prices are as shown ($10, $12, & $15 tax is already included). I've taken a picture of the sizes with prices. I got açaí and Pur berry base with a bit of vanilla chia pudding, fruit (pineapple, banana, mango, and blueberry), no apple this time, almond butter drizzle, bee pollen, cacao bits and chopped dates. This place is a gem! The price for what you get here is unreal. A large smoothie bowl with pretty much unlimited toppings- well enough until everything starts to overflow or either no longer fits into the lid. And The topping options are so yummy. Definitely telling friends about this spot. Stopped by after work because I've never seen an açaí bowl place that is open late. Our first impression was that it was very clean and there was a lot of options. Service was great. It was our first time and they took us step by step on how to order and let us sample flavors before ordering. The cocolina and pur mango were my favorite and of course matcha. I highly recommend this place not only for various options and great service but the flavors taste so yummy. This is definitely my new favorite açaí bowl location. My boyfriend and I have been here a few times now and their bowls are some of the best I've ever had. So many options for bases and toppings. The cocolina is my favorite so far, it's a tropical fruit base with spirulina which makes it blue! but I still want to try the cacao and matcha. The fruit is so fresh and you can choose from three different chia pudding flavors and two different granolas plus a bunch of other stuff like cacao nibs, peanut butter, flax, hemp, goji berries, and more. We love going late at night for a healthy dessert as a treat. It's definitely a little pricey as most açaí bowls are but honestly the quality is so good and with so many options it's a much better value than most places I've been to. Plus the people who work here are super friendly and as late night people being able to get a bowl at 2am wins major points for us. It's also connected to Nguyen's Kitchen so you can grab some noodles and an açaí bowl at the same time if you want to. read more

I'm not usually a sweets guy, but blue bowl caught my attention and I went there with a friend and it was tasty!! Been a regular here for a while and lately the service has been quite demeaning on multiple occasions. The girl that helped us had an unfriendly attitude and made it seem like we were wasting her time. Felt rushed to order and get out as fast as possible. Seems like this place has a pattern of rude customer service from the reviews and owner is not doing anything about it despite claiming they're going to "investigate and try to improve". Owner needs to retrain workers on proper customer service etiquette that positively reflects their business. Stopped going here and went to bluebowl in the plaza next door and had a better experience. They always serve with a positive attitude and a smile on their face! :) read more

Cute, quiet and clean space. The restrooms were clean. There are many options to choose from. They are next to another competing business but I will now come to Pur bowls. They had a 20% discount with the yelp check in. As business starts to boom, they will need to hire more staff. There was one staff person and it all of a sudden started to get busy. August 17th - I'm not one to ever leave reviews and I normally have a very pleasant experience but I feel the customer service of this one individual needs to be addressed. I come here often and love the diverse bases and toppings. However, I came in around 1am after I got off work since they don't close til late. I was not greeted but rather met with a rude experience. There was two workers but the guy with brown hair acted as if I was a nuisance to be there at such a late time. I understand what it's like working a late shift as I do often but the establishment doesn't close until 2:30am and it is not my fault that he has that shift and does not excuse anything. I should not feel that I do not want to go to one of my favorite places when a specific worker is on the clock. read more

I don't know where to begin when it all comes down to great customer service. I drove back down to my home town in Orange County and wanted an acai bowl and heard nothing but the best reviews about Pur Bowls. I usual go to blue bowl but something about this service, quality, and all round environment of a business best suited my money and satisfaction. Walked in and was greeted by these two girls.the one with brown hair helped me out. All round great person and great employee of this establishment.And the young lady with the orange hair as well. I wouldnt give this rating a 5/5 I would've gave it a 10/10. read more

Their ingredients are top notch, like using protein and fiber-containing almond flour; also a healthier fat like ghee instead of butter (cheap bakeries including store bought use industrialized seed oils). As a sweetener they use allulose - a natural (but pricey) sweetener that is found in fruits but tastes like regular sugar, unlike the semi bitter stevia. I'm glad they don't use erythritol - a popular sweetener which has been linked to blood clots. They also use xylitol which, when isolated, prevents tooth decay - but is dangerous to dogs. For humans, results in far less carbs than regular inexpensive bleached white flour baked goods which when added with table sugar gives a massive sugar spike. Not good for people with insulin resistance (which includes many older adults). It's a small space but it smelled great when I was in there as they were baking. It would've been great had they sold good coffee and a place to sit but that would probably raise their prices even more. Because of the expensive ingredients, don't expect a lot of their goodness for the price. The carrot cake slice was probably half of the size in another regular bakery, but it was delicious. Note that because of the crushed almond, the texture is somewhat more grainy than a white flour based carrot cake. Same with the $9 Tres Lechces cake slice. But in both cases, the taste was good and I felt better eating them because the calorie count, as well as carb load was much, much less. Actually, what I was looking for was a cinnamon roll but they had sold out. There are a lot of different types of muffins, cookies and cakes.So if you're a sweet tooth, you should give them a try. (a side note - next door is a good Chinese restaurant - Royal Wok, with nicely prices lunch specials).

I have gone the past 2 years and never had issues getting it on the first day. This year was different. I got there around 5:05 and walked into the shop to see a lot of tables empty. I was shocked to see that. I waited in line with maybe like two people in front of me and guess what they asked of Pliny was still available. The guy working said to the people in front of me that they sold out. It was my turn I asked if they had it and the guy said that they had a line since 3pm and that they sold out of the keg. We ended up getting two beers since we went anyways but that's when things didn't add up. He kept telling all the other people that started to show up the same thing. These are reasons why it didn't add up 1) empty seats inside but had a line since 3pm and beer was released at 4pm 2) I don't think the people going for younger would just order one beer and not try other RR beers? 3) only one guy working beer counter and having to clean the tables and make sandwiches? 4) 12 oz pours of beer and keg with about 1984 oz would make it 166 beers. No way they sold 166 beers in an hour with one person working the bar and shop empty in an hour. They could have posted on their instagram or socials that they sold out but failed to do so. I'm sure a lot of people all night were disappointed to see that they didn't have it or post anything about it.

I've visited Pur Bowls probably about 10 times, and I keep coming back because of their acai and coco-lina. The blend of flavors is spot-on and one of the best I've tried. I also had the mango base once, but it was a bit too icy for my taste, so I'll be sticking with my favorite. However, the experience can be hit or miss. The biggest inconsistency is with the toppings. Sometimes they're generous and fill up the bowl, but other times they barely give you enough, which can be disappointing. The service has also been consistently underwhelming. I don't typically like to write about poor service, but in almost all my visits, the staff seemed irritated or inconvenienced, especially when asked for something simple like a lid or a bag. On one occasion, when I asked the cashier to repeat herself because it was noisy, I was met with multiple sighs and clear irritation. I still love their coco-lina and acai, but the service and inconsistency in portions definitely make me hesitant to visit more often. They had a good variety of bowl options, and there were plenty of toppings to customize your bowl. Everything looked fresh and was clean. The portions were good, the prices were reasonable, and the staff were friendly. I plan on visiting again when in the area!

You can choose as many bases as you want. Compared to other açaí places I've tried, I felt like the bases, especially the mango and pitaya, were a bit icier as opposed to creamier consistencies. It was almost as if they've been in the freezer longer. However, the flavor was still good. What I really loved about this place though was the fact that they overfill your cup. Even though I ordered the smallest size, they filled it to the brim with the bases and dry toppings and then they put the fruits in a separate cup. It was so much easier to dig through my cup and not fearing something would drop. The service was good as well! I think this place is an affordable option for açaí and you definitely get a lot of bang for your buck :)

A few seconds later, a Caucasian couple walked in and went to the same register I had been waiting at and were helped immediately. My sister, who was with me, even asked if I noticed what happened because it was so obvious. I told her yes. My family and I have been coming here for a while, but the new hires have very poor customer service. This experience felt disrespectful and discriminatory, and we will not be returning.
