This was an interesting eats, we came by on a random Tuesday evening. We ordered the chicken sandwich and corn flavored chicken wings. Restaurant reminds me of a college cafeteria. Service was good, our chicken was cooked nicely but the powder corn flavor seasoning was too overwhelming. I really wanted to like this place. It wasn't bad nor good just okay.

Puradak is now open at this Buena Park location on the 3rd floor at The Source. If you're like me and crave Korean fried chicken from time to time and are in the area then it is worth checking out. They have a variety of flavors including their popular Black Aglio and gimme basak flavor. I heard their cheese balls and corn is also good to pair with your wings. I went with one other person and we shared their original and new chili mayo flavor. The nice staff there gave us some black aglio sauce to try and it's sweet and savory. I enjoyed the chili mayo flavor which turned out to my favorite. It had a sweet mayo flavor and wasn't very spicy. I did come with some pickled jalapenos which was good. We also shared an oden soup on the side which was like fish cake soup. The broth was a little salty but overall good. Service was excellent. Our waiter was super nice and helpful. The chicken also came out faster than any other fried chicken place I had ever gone to. The inside is super casual and open feeling. I would come back again.

Located at The Source, 3rd floor. Came in on a weekend afternoon and no one was at the entrance to greet us. As we walked in further, it took some time for the staff member at the back register to seat us but we were confused as first time customers. Menu is alright - with a couple of chicken options, sandwich options, and sides. I tried the malburo sandwich. Despite its 3 chili pepper signs, it wasn't spicy. It wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special. Chicken wasn't dry though my order was saucy so that would've helped too. Sauce was not hitting it out of the park for me, and having tried the kfc place downstairs I prefer the other spot. Fries were regular fries.

First timer here. How come no one told me about this place. This chicken was so flavorful and moist. It took about twenty minutes to arrive at our table but it was worth the wait. Service was attentive, we are already ready for round two.

My friend took me to the Source for the first time and we decided to try something new. So, we elected for Puradak since we were feeling like having chicken. When you walk in, you can feel it's pretty casual. You sit down and they take your order, but it's a casual vibe. The servers are friendly. The place is clean. So, on the menu you can elect to build your own wings or choose some other chicken items. I went with the wings but I was also definitely eyeing the sandwich. The wings I got had the sweet sauce on it. Word of caution-- mine came with peanuts on top so if you're allergic maybe mention that!!! I thought the chicken was pretty juicy and such. Fries were nothing to write home about. I'd say the food is good but not like something I'd be craving to come back to, you know?

The service was pretty good, they were very attentive. The food was alright, chickens are very moist and crispy, my friends and I just didn't love any of the sauces besides the chili mayo one, that one is bomb! do not recommend the cheese balls tho, they didn't taste like anything. the vibe was great, a bit empty and sad for a friday night but i guess it is what it is.

Service is good. They are so nice and keep checking on us. They even offered the seaweed chips for free :) Corn-so-amazing 100000/10 as its name. The corn flavor is just enough. Makes your regular cheese powder much more interesting. The chicken is oven fried so that explains why until the very end, barely any oil is soaked up in the liner under the dish and still keeps chicken so moist. Not so impressed with the chili mayo since the corn took the spotlight but it is definitely growing on me slowly. The tangyness from the pickled jalapeno cuts the creaminess of the mayo just perfectly ! Will definitely come back and already recommened to friends n fams LOL !

This place never disappoints! Been a while since the last visit but The only thing that changed is we get seated and get our orders taken instead of ordering at the counter. Our server was nice and attentive. It wasn't super busy around mid afternoon on a Saturday surprisingly. This time I ordered the black aglio boneless wings and it was amazing! It was so flavorful and the chicken was juicy. Loved the garlic pieces and the fries were good as well. Great place to go if you're craving some chicken!

Plenty of parking in the garage and it's free parking with a Tesla charging station. The food is amazing and the service is great. We came during lunch was it was slow and the food came out super fast. The wings were a bit small but they more than the 8 pieces that was supposed to come with the med size which more than made up for it.

Delicious oven fried Korean Fried Chicken, which separates it from the usual deep fried chicken, making it a healthier cheat at a very modern and clean restaurant. Got the: - black Aglio medium wings (8pcs for $17 bc it's 16 +$1 extra for sauce): 9/10, their version of soy garlic with cooked garlic pieces. A bit on the sweet side for my liking - paired with side of fries with corn seasoning: made the fries very sweet - chili mayo medium wings (8pcs for $17 bc it's 16 +$1 extra for sauce): 5/10, came with a HEAPING of sauce and jalapeños. Even though it has 2 fire signs on the menu and they hype it a lot, to me it's just mildly spicy and the jalapeños weren't that spicy (if you have had REAL Korean spicy, you'd know it's far from that) - paired with a side of pickled radish: also on the sweet side, but nice and pink and crunchy Located: on the 3rd floor of the Source, not far from the escalators Parking: large parking garage at the Source Misc: - There's a Kiosk to order at for To-go orders only - they already have a menu and place settings for each table

I came here with my dear college friend - the place had a nice and modern, white and sleek design, which I thought was cool. We were promptly seated and got our food fairly quickly after ordering. The servers were also very prompt in getting us more water (you'll need a lot eating here). We ordered the wings with black aglio and some tenders with the chili mayo - surprisingly, I really enjoyed the chili mayo despite the spiciness! The flavor was really rich and creamy and less sweet than expected. We also ordered some fries with the corn seasoning, which was a little too sweet to my liking. The pickled radish was lovely in balancing out the saltiness of the flavors. Overall, a pretty decent fried chicken place. I'm not really a fan of Korean fried chicken usually due to the sweetness of the flavors, so I'd come back for the chili mayo. I'd love to eventually try some other options as well.

The flavors are super interesting here! It drew my attention because of all the unique flavors. We tried the Chili Mayo and it was super delicious. A nice balance of flavors! Definitely wish the wings were a bit bigger, but the flavor profile is really nice! Looking forward to try the other flavors on the menu. It is a very clean and open space with lots of seating. Super clean and feels upscale. Everything is branded included the napkins which is something I always notice. The corn so amazing rub on the fries was great. I had high expectations. Service was good on our end. Patience to see what we wanted was awesome. Patience in saying the order correctly, great. Wait time for food, quick! Now for food. We got classic, it was a bland not heavy batter, crispy chicken. Nothing I'd ever say wow, bomb, I'll be back? No.. reg plain chicken my kid would cook. Pollo campero, canes, mom and pop chicken better. Next the black aglio? Chicken. Has a soft sweet soy ? Teriyaki? Sauce. Said something garlic... besides adding some fried garlic crisps... nada garlic there. Basic. Their focus is presentation. That's what got us looking. Then we saw the reviews ... deceived us. Go for yourself try. 80 bucks : 2 large drinks 1 beer 1 order of 8 piece boneless black aglio small fry. 1 order of large (14) bone in half and half with fries. Happy to see that another chicken place has opened up in OC. Staff at the counter was super friendly: gave great recommendations and came by to check on my party multiple times. Tried the black aglio, corn so amazing, gimme basak. Really enjoyed the signature black aglio and also the gimme basak. Chicken for all three flavors was great: juicy, not greasy, flavorful. The corn so amazing was a bit too sweet for my taste (would be fantastic with a savory sauce). The fries and black cheese balls were also very good. Decent place. Cashier was nice, service was fast but just so bland on few things. They don't greet customers. No small talk like is this your first? or how's your day? I think this would make first timer's experience much better since I didn't know that I had to order up front and having to bring dishes from condiment station. Also, they need educate their staff to check on customers more often. Sitting here for 1 hour but not once did the staff come by to check on us and there were only 2 tables occupied. So that they can know if there was anything problem with the food. For instance, in my case, chicken wasn't properly cooked. read more

I ordered original chicken sandwich & chili mayo sandwich. Chickens were chewy but undercooked inside, fries were soggy. Coleslaw was too creamy no flavors. me and my partner felt like crap after eating here. Draft beer was not even that cold, the guy at the bar don't even know how to pour beer. Never coming back. New fav Korean fried chicken spot! I got the large bone in chicken in the black aglio and sweet & spicy flavors. I thought the toppings that came with the chicken were nice tasty touches. I also ordered the cream cheese and black cheese balls, both were really good as well. I wish I took some photos beforehand, but the food was so good that it was a silent kind of meal. Don't order the whole chicken. It's anything but whole ;). Tasty but expensive for what you get. Their promotion for a scratch off is false advertising. Says you can get the item for $1 but wheb I tried to redeem, was informed you had to purchase an item in addition. Terms never indicated this. Fail on their management and marketing dept. read more

Super excited that this korean fried chicken made it to the US!! It's super popular in korean esp among korean mukbangers so it's a must try if you're nearby. Get the black aglio / chili mayo / corn so-amazing, those are the most popular flavors. Also if you want to try multiple flavors I recommend getting 2 mediums since u get to choose more flavors and more sides. read more

Thank you for opening in OC. I don't need to fly to Korea for this scrumptious Korean fried chicken! Great yet simplified selection of flavors like the original from Korea. We got two most popular flavors(Black Aglio, Chili Mayo) on the second day it opened at the source mall. Chicken was fresh, and it tasted like the originals from Korea. Last night, my family and I visited this restaurant for the first time. The staff was friendly, and the food came out quickly--we didn't have to wait long. Everything tasted great, and we especially enjoyed the meal. However, one major concern was the music. The songs being played were extremely inappropriate for families with young children. The lyrics were full of profanity--"f-this, f-that, b***h this, sh*t that"--which shocked me. My kids looked at me uncomfortably and frowned. Considering that the menu even offers a family combo meal, the choice of music felt very out of place. We genuinely enjoyed the food and would love to come back, but the music is the only thing holding us back. Playing explicit songs might be acceptable later in the evening, after 10 PM, when the crowd is mostly adults enjoying drinks. But this was around 6 PM, and we weren't the only table with kids. I've never experienced this issue at any other family-friendly restaurant before. Please consider changing the music to something more appropriate during family dining hours. It would make the dining experience much more enjoyable for everyone. read more

Here you choose your choice of rice cake + spice level and then add whatever toppings you'd like. It already comes preset with a good level of rice cakes, fish cakes, veggies and a boiled egg. I added sausage (+$3.50 for 6 pieces) and jjolmyun noodles (+$3.50). After adding those my total came to $22 for the tteokbokki (base price $15). The sausage I'd get again but the noodles were ehhh. They got soggy kind of quickly so I'll just get regular ramen next time. For type of rice cake just trust me and get the garaetteok!! It's made with rice flour and is the BEEEEST TEXTURE! Plus the name in Korean translates to "grandmas garae tteokbokki" so you have to order what they're known for! It comes in 3 long strips and they have scissors on the side for you to cut it up yourself. The texture is so perfectly soft and chewy. I cannot explain. It is simply the best like frozen regular rice/wheat ones cannot compete. For spice level, level 2 (out of 3) was perfect where it's slightly spicy but it builds the more you eat it and ends at a good medium-high. By the end I was like oooooh it's kicking in. But any less would be too mild and I feel like level 3 it'd be too spicy for me to finish it all and have a good time.
