The meat here is absolutely delicious!!! We stopped here to get something to take home for dinner because we heard great things and we hadn't been before... and babyyyyyy let me tell you something!!! The ribs and the wings were top notch!! I am kind of mad that there isn't one close to home lol... we also got the burnt ends and beef brisket and it was absolutely delicious. We tried the banana pudding and chocolate pie and they were okay. It was very fresh but they are a bbq place and not a dessert place so it was okay. It only didn't get 5 stars because i did not like the sides at all. We had corn pudding and Mac n cheese and I could do without both of them. But that won't stop us from going back. It was so good that it didn't make it home. We were suppose to taste the food in the car and we ended up eating almost all of it before driving home lol... I thought my ribs were a touch too salty, so was slightly disappointed. They were nice and tender though and I like their sweet sauce. Also had the brisket, which was tender, but I thought it was a bit on the dry side, I prefer my brisket with a little fat left on it, and again I thought slightly on the salty side. My mom and I went here but couldn't eat inside cause of my little one sleeping in the car so we decided to take the food to go and just eat it in the car lol. The staff were very friendly and quick to help. There were tons of food options. I got the Pulled Pork Plate with Mac n cheese and corn pudding, while my mom got the half Rack Rib Plate. I really enjoyed the pulled pork and the Mac n cheese. The corn pudding I didn't really care for.. not sure if it was suppose to be a sweet or savory dish. And mom said the ribs were way too salty and for the price we paid, she said the ribs weren't worth it. I think she got 4 pieces but they were so small. I REALLY liked this spot, and it was simple, but also fantastic. Our last night in Richmond and we didn't want to go all out for overpriced fancy stuff. Q is literally down the road from our hotel, we were all exhausted after a long week, and we drove by this place pretty much every night, quietly passing it by and not giving it a second thought. Finally, we decided to hit it up. A great ending to our trip. Q Barbeque has an interesting balance of feeling like a fast food joint, but with excellent quality Q (and they want you to know that, cause they have their ribbons and trophies displayed everywhere!). I had a chili cheese dog (no onions, pls) and a drink and man, that was just a fantastic dog. It wasn't fancy, it wasn't extra-long or anything. It was just a simple, delicious dog that filled me right up. And the price? Let's just say I could have ordered 5 hot dogs if I wanted to hit my allotted spending limit. I also had a side of mac and cheese, and it was also delightful. But the show-stealer? The banana pudding! I took it back to the hotel and enjoyed it snuggled in my bed while watching TV. I have lived within a mile of this place for almost 5 years now and have never had it or stepped foot inside the place but man am I glad I have now. The place was super clean and the smoke smells were amazing. The food was even more amazing. Three meat platter for me: Wings (smokey and BBQ), burnt ends (juicy and flavorful), and the sliced brisket (could cut it like butter with a nice pink smoke ring). The hush puppies were super fresh and crunchy and the fries were standard but who doesn't like fries? Rib Platter: rib meat fell off the bones. Local barbecue restaurant in the end of a strip mall. Nice decor with clean dining. My barbecue was excellent- not overly smoked and the pork was moist and delicious. The corn pudding was a little too egg forward for my taste. The Mac and cheese was spot on. My husband's burger and fries were excellent. This food was delicious. We ordered during Covid -19 pandemic over the phone and drive over to the restaurant. Once you get there you have to call and then someone brings your order out to your car. We ate in the parking lot. The food was delicious! The greens are so southern and a bit crunchy, I wished that I would have ordered some on my plate but the bbq sandwich and hush puppies are amazing. They forgot my butter for my hush puppies but they'll still get 5 stars from me! Good service as well. Never got to see the inside but if I'm ever in the area I'd order from here again. Stopping for lunch at the recommendation of Yelp is usually a good idea. Today, it was a GREAT idea! The only thing wrong with Q is that it's too far away from my home. The staff friendly and super helpful. After finding out that they normally sell out of the brisket, the next decision was Brisket or Burnt Ends. "Do you like it lean or with a little fat?" Today, I chose a little fat and was supremely satisfied. The Burnt Ends were so moist and tender; and yes, not lean, but not real fatty either. Most of the fat had been rendered, leaving the meat wonderfully tender and flavorful. I had gotten sauce, only to ask myself... Why would I put something on these magnificent morsels of meat? My lunch came with two sides; collards and corn pudding, which were excellent on their own. Washing it all down with an Arnold Palmer, left me a happy man. This is a usual stop when visiting Richmond. As soon as you get out of your car, you can smell the mesquite in the air from the bbq. They offer outdoor and indoor seating. Definitely recommend The burnt ends sandwich. They sell their bbq sauce and season salt. Sometimes, the cashier will let you sample all the sauces! I'm a sucker for the hot bbq sauce. Amazing...that is the only way I can describe the collard greens. The rest of the food is pretty freaking great too! Staff is courteous, helpful, and quick. From the time I ordered till the time the food hit the table was less than five minutes. The pulled pork is spot on, not dry at all and paired very well with all four bbq sauces available at the table. The wings are big and meaty and again spot on. I also got the burnt brisket ends and they melt in your mouth. They were so good they didn't even need any sauce added to them. We love Q-Bbq! On our last visit we ordered a two meat plate (smoked chicken & ribs) with baked beans and fries and the pulled pork plate with onion rings and potato salad. We also got a sampling of all the sauces. This was about 10 miles from my hotel, but the drive seemed really quick and easy. Any way, this food was absolutely delicious. The smoked chicken and sliced brisket weren't dry at all abd didn't need sauce (which were all delicious). The corn muffin was buttery and moist. The baked beans were good, kind of reminded me of canned, but still good. The collard greens were delicious, a little too sweet but really good. The coleslaw needed a little something as it was a little bland, but i didn't hate it. Recommended! read more

The 2-sides plates, with a drink and cornbread is probably the best way to go.  The Pulled Chicken, and Pulled Pork, we tried were just excellent, and flavorful.  There are three choices of BBQ sauces too on each table for you to top off.  There's a standard BBQ sauce, a sweeter version, and then a hot. The pulled pork sandwich was delightful and piled high with meat and slaw. Four choices of sauce - but honestly the pork was tasty and good on its own. The sauce bottles were clean and organized on each table - and there was not a sticky place in the entire restaurant! Service was great too. The hush puppies were magical!
