Don't get Cinch Home Services Home warranty and don't hire Qplus! They will charge you a lot of money and not do the job.

Our home warranty company (First American) patched us to Q+ Appliance after our first contractor/company spent a month trying to fix our ice maker but could not find the issue. At first, I was apprehensive about wasting another few weeks trying to diagnose the problem. But we had an awesome experience with Q+. An employee from Q+ Appliance called to set up an appointment a few days after the work order was transferred to them. I was in class when the phone call came through so I didn't have a chance to answer it. Plus I was honestly annoyed at the whole ice maker repair process so I didn't call them back. :P The employee then called back a few days later and we set up the appointment for Monday between 3-7pm. On Monday, Alex called in the afternoon and let me know that he was about 15 minutes from our house. I appreciated the heads up. Alex showed up when he said he would and I was surprised at how young he was. But I've learned that a lot of times younger employees have learned the trade from family members and sometimes are quite skilled. We walked into the kitchen and I figured I'd give Alex some background about the ice maker (that it had been repaired twice in the past couple years and the most recent contractor had attempted to fix it for a full month but to no avail). I was actually impressed that Alex stopped everything to turn to me, make eye contact and listen to what I was saying. In my mind, I thought, someone has taught this guy good listening skills. So Alex got to work and was busy for probably the next 30 minutes or so. He seemed to know what he was doing (unlike the first contractor who couldn't even get the ice maker out). Alex said there was an issue with the wires and he had soldered them back so we would have ice. I was a little skeptical (oh ye of little faith) but the next morning, there was fresh ice waiting for us! Totally impressed with Alex, his expertise and his professionalism. He was very courteous and polite the entire visit, even asking permission to wash his hands in the kitchen sink! And as he was leaving, he walked out the door, turned around, made eye contact and said goodbye. I was super impressed by what a gentleman he was. Either his parents or his company have trained him very well. Highly recommend this company and especially Alex if you have any appliance issues. Excellent work! read more

Courteous and timely repairs, the tech called to setup appointment; called to notify us 15 mins in advance; arrived and went to diagnose the issue right away. What surprised me is they actually check the components like true technicians. The wiring, connections, etc. they don't just look at an error code and go off a manual. I figured if these guys can't fix my issue I'm toast. However, no hiccups, repair went smoothly, and I am very happy with Q+. read more

DO NOT USE Q+ Appliance. Victor stated in his report that the "load rebalancing " message comes up on my GE washer. He goes on to say that he couldn't find any broken parts and that the washer operates fine. He admits that the washer takes a very long time to complete its cycle. The tenant told Victor that sometimes the washer will not complete the cycle. GE, the manufacturer, states that a GE washer is not supposed to operate with a severe out of balance problem which is usually caused by worn parts. Victor states that he is unable to identify any broken parts. He then states that it is NORMAL that the machine operates out of balance contrary to all statements by the manufacturer. He is totally incompetent or he's a liar and in cahoots with American Hone Shield or both. Be careful. Q+ is incompetent and DISHONEST. read more

We have a Sub-Zerorefrigerator-Freezer. Our freezer compressor burnt out. Our home warranty sent Paul from Q Plus Appliance & Repair. He spent several hours but he was able to replace the part. We are happy to have our freezer working and back to Sub-Zero. read more

Absolutely professional and the quality of work was excellent. Alex did the reinstallation (correctly this time) of my over the range microwave by himself and so I was surprised by that since there were two technicians who installed this (poorly) when I purchased it at an appliance depot. He even vacuumed after he finished the reinstallation. I will hire this company again in the future! read more

Wost contractor ever! Came out for dishwasher issues. - He had no idea what he was doing (hence him looking up Youtube videos at every visit). - Definitely reached a point where he hit a dead end and was no longer interested in figuring out the issue. - Told my insurance company we vandalized the dishwasher??? What?!?!? Thankfully, after much discussion w/ my home warranty company (First American) had to provide proof of pictures my dishwasher is 100% intact, and they changed contractors. Our home warranty, First American Home Warranty, (https://homewarranty.firstam.com) contracted Q+Appliance LLC (https://www.qplusappliance.com) for a second opinion on the installation of our dishwasher. Our dishwasher was missing brackets, where it was improperly installed, due to the missing brackets. Q+Appliance dispatched two workers. The workers did not ask for information, nor did they listen where we stated that the dishwasher was installed that way. Q+Appliance took hours to inspect the dishwasher, and took pictures of the place where there were missing brackets. Q+Appliance's negligence, First American Home Warranty denied our claim. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Q Plus was assigned to my service claims through First American Home Warranty for three appliances: a stand up freezer in our garage, a commercial beverage refrigerator in our shop, and a commercial ice maker in our back porch. He fixed the freezer. Yay. Then he scammed us out of $325 AND kept the First American service fees. He looked over each appliance as per the service requests. He then told us he was unable to fix the commercial refrigerator through First American but he could look at it and fix it outside the warranty. He charged my husband $75 to "look" at the refrigerator (which he had already look over through warranty) and another $250 to fix it. He also told First American our "kitchen refrigerator" had been moved. I'm assuming he was implying we had put our kitchen refrigerator in our shop and that's why he couldn't fix it/why it wasn't covered. A kitchen refrigerator was never part of our service claim. He also didn't fix the commercial ice maker we submitted a claim for because "it's not covered." After haggling with First American based on the notes Q Plus submitted to First American which are VASTLY different than his notes on our receipt, First American says the ice maker IS covered and the company who will be assigned to fix it is Q Plus! WHAT?! Why the hell didn't he fix it the day he was here if it's covered?! He was also searching YouTube for repair videos while on site. I told First American he scammed us, is unprofessional, and to never send him to our service requests again! read more

First time using our new home warranty through First American and was prepared for the same kind of painfully poor service I'd received through Fidelity Home Warranty. The service request for our oven was placed around 10 pm and first thing the next morning I was contacted by Q Appliance asking if a technician could come out later that day. The technician determined the issue and said he'd place an order for the needed part. Within a week he was back and replaced the faulty part and even told me what kind of bulb I needed to replace the oven light that was out and showed me how to replace it. Q+ was contracted by my home warranty service to check my refrigerator/freezer that stopped cooling. First trip they thought it had a leak and there was no Freon, second trip they said it needed a compressor, third trip compressor was installed (still not cooling), fourth trip they sent out a senior tech who worked on it and it worked for about 24hrs, fifth and final trip they replaced seals in the back with no success. They told me there was nothing else they could do to fix it. However, their recommendation to the home warranty service was to get a second opinion. I have now gone a month and a half without a refrigerator and because of their recommendation of a second opinion, lord know how much longer I will have to wait. read more

Technician is arrogant. Does not listen to the symptoms and does not seem willing to repair the issue

We had the best experience with Paulo when he came to service our stove and refrigerator the other evening. He was very knowledgeable, kind, and courteous, and he figured out the issues with our appliances right away. He quickly repaired the ice maker and will return with the part to repair the stove.
